Primary exam scores in all subjects. Where can you file an appeal?

Many Russian schoolchildren have already felt like a mountain has fallen off their shoulders: they have passed state exams, and now, based on their results, they are going to apply for admission to selected higher educational institutions.

As it became clear from the feedback on the forums and social networks, not all the guys are satisfied with their scores, however, since the period for retaking the exam has already passed, graduates will have to build on what they have for now.

Many people are also interested in what marks they received in exams, if they translate their scores into school grades. Considering that for many years in a row the scores for the state exam have not affected the grades in the subjects in the certificate, in principle, it makes no sense to convert them into grades, according to Therussiantimes. But this is still interesting to many, therefore we draw a table below, which is a clear example of the transfer of points earned on the exam into school grades.

How a Moscow student set a record for the Unified State Examination

It became known that an ordinary Moscow student managed to impress the USE commission and all teachers, having passed not only two compulsory subjects - Russian language and mathematics, but also two more elective exams with a hundred points.

True, the head of Rosobnadzor Kravtsov noted that this student studied at a "very good school." His elective subjects are chemistry and biology. Kravtsov himself is sure that this is not the last case of such a distinctive passing of exams, since in five years he finally managed to achieve a correct and objective system for testing the knowledge of graduates.

The name of this "genius of modernity" is Ruslan Salimgareev, and he claims that he was preparing for the Unified State Examination in the classroom at school number one hundred and seventy-nine. The student also took part in various olympiads, which gave him a good base for passing state exams. True, for a brilliant passing of the exam in biology, the guy still visited a tutor for some time.

It goes without saying that the graduate's future profession will be connected with those subjects that he took "by choice": Ruslan will enter Moscow University at the Faculty of Bioengineering and Bioinformatics. However, he himself was very surprised at his record, and at first he did not even believe his eyes, deciding that the public services website had simply failed.

Teachers will take the exam

Not only graduates have to pass a difficult and exciting USE exam: those teachers who want to work in Moscow, but are not residents of the capital themselves, will also be forced to pass the test.

The fact is that in this way, as explained in the department, it will be much easier to hold a competition among applicants for a teacher's position in any of Moscow's schools. According to the results of the exam, the director of the educational institution will already be able to choose which specialist to choose.

In addition, by passing the exam not below the average level, the teacher will show that he has good knowledge in the chosen subject.

Each graduate who wants to become a student of one of the universities of the Russian Federation in 2018 faces a difficult task - to successfully pass the exam, as well as to choose the right educational institution and faculty for submitting documents. The majority of 11th graders and their parents are faced with the final exam grading system for the first time and often find it difficult to find answers to the questions that arise. Therefore, we decided to shed light on important points.

In 2017-2018, the basic rules for passing the exam will not be significantly changed. This means that the 100-point system for grading final tests will still be relevant for graduates.

How is everything going?

In the course of checking the examination papers, for each correctly completed task, the graduate receives the so-called “primary points”, which, upon completion of the work check, are summed up and converted into a “test score”, which is indicated in the USE certificate.

Important! Since 2009, the scale for converting primary and test USE scores into traditional five-point grades for schools has not been officially used, because in 2017 and 2018 final exams are not included in the certificate.

Checking work is done in two ways:

  • automatically (with the help of special programs and technical means);
  • manually (the correctness of detailed answers is checked by two independent experts).

It is quite difficult to challenge the result of an automatic check. If the basic rules were not followed when filling out the answer table, the computer may not protect the result, and only the graduate himself, who did not follow a number of mandatory rules, will be to blame for this.

If controversial issues arise during the expert review, a third specialist is involved, whose opinion will be decisive.

When to expect results?

The following time limits apply by law:

  • data processing (for compulsory subjects) at the RCSC should not last longer than 6 calendar days;
  • for data processing (subjects of choice) RTsOI give 4 days;
  • verification at the Federal Testing Center should take no more than 5 working days;
  • approval of the results by the State Examination Commission - 1 more day;
  • up to 3 days to send the results to the USE participants.

In practice, from the moment of passing the exam to receiving the official result, it can take from 8 to 14 days.

Converting USE scores to grade

Despite the fact that officially in 2018 the scale for converting points in USE subjects into a five-point grade is not used, many still want to interpret their result in a more familiar "school" system. To do this, you can use special tables or online calculators.

The second method is a little easier and more convenient than searching for the desired values in the cells of a huge table. Simply select a subject (mathematics, Russian, chemistry, physics, history, English, social studies ... and other subjects), enter the data and get the desired result in a matter of seconds.

We suggest trying how simple and convenient it is to use in practice the online calculators of the USE score and its conversion to a 5-point grade.

Internet systems for applicants

The academic year 2017-2018 is over, the exam has been passed, the results are known, and even the interactive scale for transferring primary scores showed that the USE result is in a fairly good range ... But, is this enough to enter the desired university?

Assess the real chances of entry, based on test scores and the minimum passing threshold set by the university.

Important! The minimum passing score is formed by the university itself. It will directly depend on the scores of applicants who apply in 2018. The more popular the specialty, the higher the passing score will be.

Often, at the TOP faculties, even 100-point results are not enough for admission to the budget. Only winners of the Olympiads, who give significant additional points, have a chance to see their last name in the lists of applicants for such areas.

In 2018, the most popular services for selecting a university and monitoring the entrance score threshold for various specialties will be:

  1. Ucheba.ru
  2. Apply online
  3. HSE calculator
  4. Postyplenie.ru
  5. Typical entrant

Finding these services is very easy. It is enough to enter their name into any search engine.

At school, our knowledge was assessed on a five-point system. With the advent of the USE, everything changed. Now the success of the final exams is determined on a 100-point scale, while there are primary and test scores. From the first time to understand this system is not easy.

Upon completion of the final exams in various general education subjects, schoolchildren do not immediately know their USE result. Checking their work, the examination committee first assigns the so-called primary points.

Primary USE scores are calculated for each subject separately, depending on the structure of the exam and the complexity of the tasks performed. After determining the primary scores, the commission transfers them to test scores - those that are subsequently entered into the database and reflected in the USE certificate.

To convert primary scores into test scores, the so-called score conversion table is used. Correspondence between primary and test scores is annually established by the order of Rosobrnadzor. For each subject, this correspondence is different. For example, 10 primary points correspond to 10 points in foreign languages, 23 - in social studies, 38 - in physics, 50 - in mathematics at the profile level.

A reasonable question arises: why use primary scores if you can immediately calculate test scores? In fact, it is very difficult to evaluate the work in all subjects on a 100-point scale - given the structure, the complexity of the tasks (and it can change) - it is very difficult. It is also necessary to take into account the level of preparation of students: in different educational institutions it varies greatly.

For each subject, the minimum and maximum primary scores are set: PB1 and PB2. The minimum primary score indicates that the exam participant has mastered the basic concepts of the subject. The maximum primary score is assigned to a student who has demonstrated a high degree of mastery of a particular subject. If the exam (its complexity, structure, and so on) has not changed compared to the previous year, PB1 and PB2 remain the same.

According to the USE scoring system, each task is scored on a scale from 1 to 24. The maximum number of primary points for all tasks in different subjects is from 32 to 100. There is also a minimum number of test scores that an exam participant can score. The methodology and the table for transferring points are posted on the official website of the exam.

For a general understanding, you can translate the number of USE scores into the usual school grade. For example, 72 points scored in the Russian language correspond to an assessment of 5 (“excellent”), 58–71 - “four”, 36–57 - “troika”. 0-35 points scored - this is the school "failed". These data are calculated using a special online calculator.

However, high school students who have already decided on the choice of a university are guided by the USE data - the passing scores set by universities, as well as last year's passing score for the competition for a budget place (if any). It is worth noting that the passing score set by the university and the passing score for a state-funded place can differ significantly (at least twice).

Each graduate who wants to become a student of one of the universities of the Russian Federation faces a difficult task - to successfully pass the exam, and also choose the right educational institution and faculty for submitting documents.

The majority of 11th graders and their parents are faced with the final exam grading system for the first time and often find it difficult to find answers to the questions that arise. Therefore, we decided to shed light on such important points.

How is everything going?

In the course of checking the examination papers, for each correctly completed task, the graduate receives the so-called “primary points”, which, upon completion of the work check, are summed up and converted into a “test score”, which is indicated in the USE certificate.

Important! Since 2009, the scale for converting primary and test USE scores into traditional five-point grades for schools has not been officially used, because final exams are not included in the certificate either.

Checking work is done in two ways:

If controversial issues arise during the expert review, a third specialist is involved, whose opinion will be decisive.

Principles for evaluating USE work

Over the past few years, the USE system in a number of subjects has undergone significant changes and has been brought to the optimal (according to the organizers) format, which allows to fully assess the amount of knowledge of a graduate in a particular subject.

No fundamental changes are expected in 2018-2019, and we can say with confidence that the same principles will be applied to evaluate the work of graduates as in 2019-2020:

  1. automated verification of forms;
  2. involvement of experts in checking tasks with detailed answers.

How does the computer evaluate?

The first part of the examination paper involves a short answer to the questions posed, which the USE participant must enter in a special answer form.

Important! Before starting the work, be sure to read the rules for filling out the form, as an incorrectly executed work will not pass an automated check.

It is quite difficult to challenge the result of a computer check. If the work was not counted due to the fault of the participant who incorrectly filled out the form, the result is equated to unsatisfactory.

How do experts evaluate?

In many subjects, in addition to the test part, there are tasks that require a full detailed answer. Since it is impossible to automate the process of checking such answers, experts are involved in the verification - experienced teachers with a long work experience.

When checking the exam, the teacher does not know (and even with a strong desire cannot find out) whose work lies in front of him and in which city (region) it was written. Verification is carried out on the basis of uniform assessment criteria developed specifically for each subject. Each work is checked by two experts. If the opinion of the experts coincides, the assessment is put on the form, but if independent appraisers disagree, then a third expert is involved in the verification, whose opinion will be decisive.

That is why it is important to write legibly and accurately so that there is no ambiguous interpretation of words and phrases.

Primary and test scores

Based on the results of the test, the USE participant is awarded a certain number of primary points, which are then transferred to text (points for the entire test). In different subjects, a different maximum of primary points is provided, depending on the number of tasks. But after bringing the result according to the corresponding table, the USE participant receives the final test score, which is the official result of his final tests (maximum 100 points).

So, in order to pass the exam, it is enough to score the established minimum threshold for the primary score:

Minimum points

Literature

Focusing on these numbers, you can accurately understand that the exam has been passed. But what kind of assessment? An online scale will help you with this, designed specifically for converting primary USE scores into test ones, which will also be relevant for results. A handy calculator can be found on the website 4ege.ru.

Announcement of official results

Graduates are always concerned about the question - how quickly you can find out what result was obtained when passing and what will be the scale for converting points scored on the exam into traditional grades.

Teachers are often taken to reassure students by working through the tasks of the USE tickets immediately after the exam and evaluating the quality of the work done by the pupils and the amount of primary points scored. Official results must be expected for 8-14 days, according to the established regulations for the USE-2019. On average, the organizers approve the following inspection schedules:

  • 3 days to check the work;
  • 5-6 days for information processing at the federal level;
  • 1 working day to approve the results of the SEC;
  • 3 days to post results online and transfer data to educational institutions.

In the event of unforeseen situations and technical problems, these terms may be revised.

You can find out the owl score:

  • directly at your school;
  • on the check.ege.edu.ru portal;
  • on the gosuslugi.ru website.

Converting points to grade

Since 2009, the results of the USE have not been included in the graduate certificate. Therefore, today there is no official state system for translating the USE result into an assessment on a school 5-point scale. As part of the introductory campaign, the test score scored in the exam is always summed up and taken into account. But, many students are still interested to know how they passed the exam - 3 or 4, 4 or 5. For this, there is a special table that details the correspondence for each of the 100 points for each of the subjects.

Literature

Using such a table is quite inconvenient. It is much easier to find out how you passed the Russian language, mathematics or history using the 4ege.ru online calculator, which also contains the USE score conversion scale, which is relevant for graduates.

Having received the result of the exam, it is worth deciding on the university as soon as possible, comparing your capabilities with the real competition for the specialties of interest. Thus, the practice of past years shows that in some cases it is difficult to get into the most popular areas in the capital's universities even with high scores. It happens rarely that the USE score conversion scale shows “5” in Russian and other compulsory subjects (mathematics, history, a foreign language or social science ...), because winners of the largest Olympiads of the 2018-2019 academic year will compete for budget places.

Since 2001, many schoolchildren have been familiar with a new type of exam - the USE (unified state exam), despite the fact that its introduction into the school education system has been smooth, they have not become less afraid of it. Future graduates are interested in questions about the number of upcoming exams, but also about the scores they should receive.

USE scores

There are three types of minimum scores that students can receive based on the results of the passed exam:

  • The first type gives the right to receive a certificate;
  • The second makes it possible to apply to higher educational institutions of the country;
  • The third one is sufficient for admission to a budgetary basis in a specific specialty, in a certain university of the country.

It is not surprising that for many students, the exam has become a rather strong emotional test, in fact, you should not wind yourself up too much before passing the exams, you need to prepare well and be self-confident. Despite the severity of the conduct, this is just an exam that can be retaken in case of failure. With proper training and approach, passing the exam is not so difficult.

Various tasks are presented in the USE forms, they must be completed in a certain time, as they pass, the student receives primary points, each subject has its own maximum values. During the test of the level of knowledge, the primary scores are converted into the resulting ones and it is they who are entered in the certificate, they are the main ones when entering a university.

Planned passing scores in 2018

There is still time before the exam, and many who wish can get acquainted with the passing scores in 2018, not only to know them, but also to be able to prepare for the exam in advance.

Many universities announce in advance the score required for admission to a budget place, this allows you to realistically assess your chances of getting into the chosen educational institution, as well as select the most suitable options. In 2018, no major changes are expected when passing the Unified State Examination and entering a university, students can focus on the data of the previous year, so in 2017 for educational institutions of the capital the passing score was 80 - 90, for other cities the requirements are not so high and vary between 65 - 75 points.

Will there be changes in 2018

At first glance, there is simply nothing to change in the education system, nevertheless, the level of education in our country is getting lower and lower every year, it is reasonable to conclude that it is time to change everything. It is hard for everyone and the students, and their parents, and of course, the teachers. The requirements are getting higher and higher every year, for many the exam is stressful, some cannot cope with such pressure.

Today, mathematics and Russian are compulsory subjects for delivery, more are planned to be added in 2018. Since 2009, compulsory exams have been held in subjects that are not only graduation at school, but also entrance to universities in our country, it is not surprising that plans are in place to introduce history as another compulsory subject. It is planned to implement the plan in 2018 or 2019, in any case, the data will either be confirmed or refuted very soon.

Attitude towards the exam

Since 2001, the attitude towards the USE is still relevant, some oppose it, others defend it as a progress in the education system, there are those who do not focus on it, continuing to study and teach.

"Against" the exam
