The fate of a graduate largely depends on the results of passing the unified state exam. And it is not surprising that the degree of nervousness among schoolchildren "rolls over". According to experts, it is excitement, and not gaps in knowledge, that often leads to failure in the exam. However, one should not assume that the “only chance” has been missed: the exam can be retaken. And in some cases, graduates even have the right to two retakes in the current year.

Rules for retaking the exam with an unsatisfactory result

If an eleventh-grader has not scored at least one of the compulsory subjects necessary for a positive mark (Russian language or mathematics at a basic or profile level), he can take the exam again. This can be done on the reserve days provided for by the unified exam schedule. And, if the retake is successful, the graduate has every chance to enter the university in the year of graduation.

If a re-obtained an unsatisfactory result- you can try to pass the exam again, in additional autumn terms. In this case, there will be no chance of entering a university - but a school leaving certificate (which is not issued in the case of a “deuce” in one of the compulsory subjects) will allow you to continue your studies at a college or technical school.

graduates who have not reached the threshold in two compulsory subjects at once do not have the right to retake the exam this year - they will have to continue the struggle for obtaining a certificate in a year;
if the graduate passed mathematics at both the basic and profile levels and overcame the threshold value for at least one of these exams, the exam is considered passed;
retaking the exam in mathematics is possible both at the basic and at the profile level (at the choice of the examiner);
graduates of previous years do not have the opportunity to retake an unsatisfactorily passed exam.

Graduates who do not score the minimum number of points in elective exams will be able to retake the exam only next year.

Who else has the right to retake the exam in additional terms

The right to retake on reserve days are USE participants who have started taking the exam, but could not complete the test for a valid reason, documented. The most common case is a deterioration in well-being during the exam (the fact of the disease must be recorded by the doctor).

In addition, those who, during the exam, encountered technical and organizational “overlaps” at the USE reception point (for example, the lack of additional forms, power outages, and so on) have the right to retake. In addition, if the organizers of the exam made violations in the conduct of the exam, the results of all participants can be canceled - and the tests will have to be retaken.

Note! If the USE participant was removed from the audience for using the phone or caught trying to cheat, his results are canceled, and the right to retake the exam in additional terms is not granted - and it will be possible to try your luck again only after a year.

Who can improve the result of exams this year

Only graduates of previous years have the opportunity to improve the exam result without waiting for the next year - they can retake the Russian language or profile mathematics in additional autumn terms.

Many believe that an USE participant who has passed the threshold but has not passed the exams well enough can, at his own choice, retake one of the exams in order to improve his scores. Unfortunately, this is a myth - the rules for passing the unified state exam do not provide for a second attempt for such cases.

Is it possible to retake the exam in a year

The right to retake the exam for people who have already graduated from school is practically unlimited. A year later, you can retake the exam in any number of subjects - both compulsory and optional.

By this time, a former student has already received the status of a “graduate of past years” and can:

improve your result in a single subject by retaking only it (the results of the remaining tests are valid for four years);
retake all items;
change your “profile” and pass exams in other disciplines;
if the admission committee of the university accrues additional points for the graduation essay, you can retake it.

Graduates of previous years can take exams either in the early or in the main period - at their own choice, but they cannot take exams twice in one year.

Is it possible to retake the exam if I have already entered the university

You can retake the exam repeatedly, regardless of how long ago the school was completed. This can be done by students, graduates of technical schools and lyceums, and people who already have higher education.

Therefore, if a graduate did not get enough points for admission to the “dream university” and took the documents to a less prestigious educational institution, or was disappointed in the chosen direction of training and wants to radically change the profile of education, student status will not become an obstacle.

The only “but”: when applying for the exam, a graduate of previous years must present a school leaving certificate - and the original documents are kept at the university. In this case, you need to clarify in advance with the dean's office what you need in order to temporarily get your hands on a certificate of education. As a rule, universities issue original certificates against receipt for a short period of time without any problems. When submitting documents for retaking the exam, the certificate is not surrendered, but only presented - therefore, it is enough to get it in your hands for just one day.

Don't be discouraged if your passing score isn't too high. A successfully passed EPGE / OGE will help to enter the budget (or, in general, at least just to enter). And a certain number of points will even help to enter the budget!

Where is it realistic / unrealistic to enter on the budget?

The average USE score of those admitted to the budget will vary greatly depending on which university they enter.

As a rule, the highest USE / OGE passing scores for admission to the budget are in the most prestigious universities in the country: St. Petersburg State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Moscow State University, MGIMO, HSE, etc. To get here, you will have to score at least 90 points.

But applicants with a passing score of 80 may well qualify for a place in almost any other university. True, the minimum USE score for admission to the budget in each case needs to be found out separately, because it can depend not only on the university itself, but also on the specialty you are applying for.

From 60 to 80 - these are the points needed to enter the budget in public educational institutions that are not top-notch, but nevertheless provide a very high level of education to their students.

Another point that is important to pay attention to when raising the question of whether it is difficult to enter the budget is which city you are going to enter. And this means that the requirements for the number (sum) of USE scores for admission to the budget will be higher than for less popular cities.

I really wanted to enter the Police Academy with a degree in economic law. I prepared for the Central College for a long time, went to tutors, attended extracurricular classes at school. Even if a graduate just wants to get a high school diploma without any ambitious plans for his future, he needs to adequately pass this difficult test. Therefore, all students try to successfully overcome the final test of the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired during their studies at school, at least to get the threshold scores of the Unified State Examination.

And if, nevertheless, it was not possible to score the coveted required minimum points and the exam is considered not passed? What to do?

First of all, try to cope as quickly as possible with the stress that is inevitable in such an emergency. It is foolish to advise not to worry, because this, you see, is only an exam. Yes, an exam, but a fateful one - the future of the child depends on it, the peace of mind of the parents, who, of course, dream of his happy, prosperous, arranged future. Naturally, the graduate and his parents are in shock, they feel complete hopelessness, the collapse of all hopes, fear and horror. "Its end! Where to run? What to do? How to rectify the situation? the thoughts that engulfed them.

Having collected in my head all the thoughts that fled in different directions from an unexpected catastrophe, and putting them in order, we quickly find out how, where and when you can retake the exam, draw up the necessary documents for this, write applications.

It is more difficult with subjects of choice - you can retake it only next year. And if it is in this subject that points are needed for admission to the chosen university? It can be said that an exam in the subject that was passed with low scores would still not help to enter. Now you can wisely use the time that has been given and prepare well and purposefully, throwing all your strength, time to prepare for the exam in one (!) Subject and enter the free department. True, with low scores, but still having overcome the minimum threshold, one could try to enroll in a paid department and, without losing a year, improve knowledge on the subject over the summer - but we won’t think about it, since it’s completely pointless.

Since the exam in the chosen subject does not affect the receipt of the certificate, that is, the child will still receive it, you can try to find another university in which this subject is not taken into account upon admission. You can get a profession in a technical school.

Thus, we conclude that the situation is not entirely hopeless.

Then, calmly, as far as possible in this situation, we try to find out the reasons that led to the educational collapse in a single subject, in order to avoid such mistakes in the future and successfully retake it.
