Creating a print layout and display

Creating a facsimile in Photoshop

How to make a facsimile, or an analogue of a signature? First you need to ask the client to sign several times on white paper with a blue ballpoint pen. After that, we scan the image in good quality and open it in Photoshop.

Creating a Duplicate Print

Let's figure out how to create a duplicate print in CorelDRAW.

A duplicate is a print image that has to be redrawn from the print on the document. Such work has to be done if the seal is lost or physically damaged, and always availability of the original certificate of registration.

First, import the image, remove all unnecessary using the "Shape" tool. As a result, we get:

When printing, do not use non-standard fonts.

So, let's get to work. The basic principle: to bring our graphics as close as possible to the image print imprint. We align the print, draw the outline of the print (circle thickness), work with the text (in this case, we use a standard font) and align it around the circle, then the text is adjusted (the "shape" tool). If you cannot fit the entire phrase/text, you can individually fit each letter.

Before making a duplicate, print what you got and compare with the document that was brought to you for rendering. After you make sure that both options are 95-100% similar, then send your print to production.

Preparing the form of future printing

We take a matte film with a negative and spray the printed side with Density-toner, wait less than a minute until the spray completely evaporates. This causes the toner to swell and become blacker on the film. In those places where there were small gaps, it becomes completely black.

Next, carefully pour the photopolymer into the resulting bath. Try to pour just enough to completely fill it. With experience, you will learn how to pour the right amount the first time. It is better to pour a little more, and then the excess polymer will squeeze out. At the same time, let it spread in the corners, if bubbles form, they must be removed, for example, with a needle.

We ended up with a sandwich. We cover it with a second glass, put the clamps on and wait 1-2 minutes for the excess photopolymer to squeeze out.

Polymerization, billet washing and tanning

We polymerize our print in the exposure chamber. In the process of illuminating the polymer with ultraviolet light, it hardens in those places where the rays hit.

So, we put our “sandwich” with the negative down on the bottom of the chamber, set the timer to 38 seconds. The time must be selected in such a way that the print relief is about 0.7 mm high. This freezes the back side of the print.

Illumination time

Rinse with warm water using any brush using Fairy. To do this, in a circular motion with a brush, wash off the uncured photopolymer. You don't need to push hard.

Tanning time: 5-7 minutes in water.

We take out our blank from the bath and carefully cut out the seal along the contour with scissors.

The print needs to dry. You can leave it on the table if you have enough time, or blot it with a lint-free rag.

The resulting print cliche is glued to any tooling: manual or automatic. For stickers on automatic equipment, we position the cliché relative to the equipment logo and the guides on the board so that the print is beautifully affixed.
