Big Utrish beautiful places. Budget holidays in Bolshoi Utrish with children: personal experience

Posted Wed, 16/09/2015 - 11:49 by Cap

Big Utrish (emphasis on the last syllable) - located on the Black Sea, a little east of Sukko, the beaches are very similar to the beaches in Sukko, medium-sized pebbles, very clear water (refers to Anapa).
At the entrance to Utrish, wonderful seascapes open up!
The village is famous for the dolphinarium, the old lighthouse and the neighborhood of the reserve!
The only dolphinarium on the Black Sea coast of Russia in the most beautiful sea lagoon on Bolshoi Utrish, where marine mammals are kept and perform in natural conditions - in flowing sea water in the open air! The Dolphinarium on Bolshoi Utrish plays an important role in scientific and educational activities and popularization of scientific knowledge about marine mammals. In the warm season, the dolphinarium hosts performances with the participation of marine animals. The dolphinarium contains Black Sea bottlenose dolphins, beluga whales, northern fur seals, Patagonian sea lions and the northern sea lion. Day off is Monday.

view of Bolshoy Utrish from the village of Sukko - Bald Mountain

The village is located on the Black Sea coast, 15 km southeast of Anapa, on the territory of the Bolshoy Utrish nature reserve.

In addition to the dolphinarium, there is a mussel breeding station, the Utrish lighthouse, and nudist beaches to the south of the village.
where boat trips are made.
We recommend route number 2 for hikers - it lies along the Soldier's Mountain, and along it you can make a trip from the village of Sukko to Bolshoy Utrish, and vice versa, as you like.
If you go along the road to Bolshoy Utrish from Sukko, then after the DOL "Change" there will be a barrier to the right of the road, and behind it is the road to the forest, which leads to the top of Soldier's Mountain.
From there you have amazing views of the sea and the surrounding area!
Then you have to go along the cliff, observing the precautions, the path leads, as it were, along the ridge through the forest, and then descends to the sea. A tent camp was organized there before, from where tourists could hike through the beginning of the Caucasus Mountains, including to the Big Utrish reserve.
Currently, there is no permanent camp there, as amateur hiking is losing popularity, people have relaxed, and rest mainly on the car or on the beach. However, from time to time I saw hikers there with backpacks and tents, especially during weekends.

On the mountain you can get to the gazebo, which stands on the highway between Sukko and Big Utrish - from there you can see amazing landscapes of the sea and Big Utrish, and then along the road you can go to Utrish itself.

You can make a pawn in the direction of the reserve, by bus you can get to Big Utrish, go down to the sea, and then move along the sea to Small Utrish.
There will be beaches in a row: the 1st, 2nd, 3rd lagoons, it’s like the border of the reserve, but they don’t drive tourists and savages from a certain territory, we were told that the huntsmen don’t touch anyone before the Pearl Falls, and nudists hang out there of all stripes.
Moreover, after 6 pm the huntsmen's working day ends, and they go home, then the coast becomes free, and you can carefully set up with a tent in the coastal forest overnight, which is what local tourists do. Until the morning of the next day, no one will drive them from the seashore.
If you want to walk along the Ecological Path in the Reserve with an interesting excursion, then it is best to do it in an organized manner. A boat with tourists leaves from Bolshoi Utrish, and then everyone goes along the Ecological Path in an organized manner - I recommend it to everyone, I liked it!
We will tell you about the tour and the Reserve in a separate article, because you can take a lot of pictures there.

the legendary rock of Prometheus

is a landscape-floristic and marine reserve with a total area of 5112 hectares, located between the villages of Sukko and Maly Utrish, on the territory of the municipal formation of the resort city of Anapa, Krasnodar Territory. Located on the Abrau Peninsula. Created by Decree of the Head of the Administration of the Krasnodar Territory No. 116 dated April 2, 1994. It extends for 12 kilometers along the coastline and is closed from the north by the Navagir Range. Big Utrish

September 2, 2010 On the basis of the reserve, the state nature reserve "Utrish" was created and until March 3, 2011, it existed without an official Regulation on the reserve and a description of the boundaries. Order of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation of 03.03.2011 N 145 "On approval of the Regulations on the Utrish State Nature Reserve" (Registered in the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on 16.03.2011 N 20124) approved the position and boundaries. The territory of the reserve does not represent a single massif - the reserve is divided into 4 sections and a number of territories are excluded from the reserve:
the unique juniper-pistachio forest in the area of the second and third lagoons is the most ecologically valuable territory, according to experts, but this is the place where it is planned to build the so-called "sports and recreation complex";
corridors (150 m wide) of access roads to this object, including the “fire-fighting forestry road”;
coastal strip east of the village of Maly Utrish.
Utrish is the only well-preserved site of typical Eastern Mediterranean landscapes in the Northern Black Sea region. Here, the unique Mediterranean core of the tertiary relict flora is most pronounced, represented, among other things, by such endemics as high and smelly junipers, pistachio and Pitsunda pine, and skumpia.
The most ancient plant association is pistachio-juniper woodlands, where 62.4% of plant species belong to the Mediterranean flora, and in oak-hornbeam forests such species account for 40.9%. In total, there are 75 species of herbaceous plants, 107 species of trees and shrubs. About 60 species are listed in the Red Book. Trees up to 1000 years old have been found in the forests of Bolshoi Utrish.
Of the invertebrates and reptiles, it is worth mentioning the striped empusa discovered here, previously known only from finds from the Crimea, the steppe ridge, the Mediterranean tortoise, for which this is the only habitat in Russia, and the Aesculapian snake (Red Book of the Russian Federation and IUCN). Short-toed eagle, white-tailed eagle, black vulture, vulture and peregrine falcon nest here, as well as a huge variety of species during spring and autumn migrations along the sea coast. It is necessary to single out such a rare species as the mute swan, wintering in coastal lakes of the estuary type. On wintering and migration near these shores, one can observe loons, grebes and 80 more species of waterfowl and near-water birds.
Rare species of Mediterranean butterflies live here.
The water area included in the territory of the reserve is characterized by a high species diversity of various types of hydrobionts - macrophyte algae, phyto- and zooplankton. 227 species of algae were found in this area.
In these places, migration routes and partly feeding of horse mackerel, mackerel and anchovy pass, and after them - migration routes of bottlenose dolphins.

Utrish Dolphinarium

SMALL UTRISH
Small Utrish - the territory of the reserve, ecological paths in juniper forests, mysteries of nature and wild (nudist) beaches.
In general, everything to the east of Bolshoy Utrish is already a nature reserve or a restricted area, but, firstly, excursions are organized there, and, secondly, there are practically no huntsmen there in the evening, so you can even spend the night in a tent. Big Utrish

LEGENDS AND HISTORY OF THE BIG UTRISH
Bolshoy Utrish - the State Dendrological Marine Sanctuary - can be called a legend of the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar Territory. It was here, according to legend, that Jason and the Argonauts sailed in search of the Golden Fleece, and it was to one of the local rocks that the mighty Prometheus was chained.
Be that as it may, there are legends about Big Utrish to this day, because one cannot but sing of this amazing pristine nature and these bays with crystal clear water. The village of Bolshoi Utrish is located on the territory of the reserve of the same name, right on the coast, and is famous for its unique natural resources.

Natural wealth of Bolshoi Utrish

Only here you can see with your own eyes the main wealth of the reserve - relict juniper forests, the rich aroma of which has been preserved and is clearly felt even after thousands of years. And the value of juniper, which, by the way, grows here in three species - reddish, tall and foul-smelling - not only in its more than venerable age, but also in useful properties. So, 1 hectare of this plant emits about 30 kg of substances that destroy any microbes.

Only here you will see hundreds of species of the rarest plants listed in the Red Book. In addition to the juniper, such rare relics as the Pitsunda pine, baccaut, pistachio pistachio (kev tree), skumpia, etc. grow here. If you are lucky, then among all these wild thickets you will be able to meet a raccoon, squirrel or other animal that lives in this area. And here you can also find the rarest species of Mediterranean butterflies, for example, the peacock eye. It is impossible to list all representatives of flora and fauna, it is better to come and see everything with your own eyes.

Climate in Bolshoi Utrish

Dense relict forests, streams and numerous mountain streams make the climate of these places milder than in Anapa itself. In Utrish it is slightly wetter, but there are practically no winds. In the midst of summer, the air temperature does not exceed +30C, and the water warms up to +23-25C. The air saturated with phytoncides and the purest sea water, rich in iodine ions, make staying in Bolshoy Utrish not only pleasant, but also useful. The swimming season here lasts from May to October.

Big Utrish beaches

The beaches in this unique place are considered one of the cleanest in the Anapa region. The water in the sea is the clearest and never blooms, so it is a pleasure to swim and spearfish here. The shores are strewn with pebbles. The infrastructure on the beaches is very well developed. There are showers, changing cabins, cafes, and water rides. There is also a yacht club where you can rent a boat or yacht for fishing or boat trips. However, it is worth considering that the sea here is quite deep. There are practically no gentle slopes from the coast here, as, for example, on the Blagoveshchenskaya Spit. Therefore, for small children, if you are traveling with them, you need to watch especially carefully and be careful.

The most popular beach is located near the dolphinarium and the pier. Those who want to fully and completely reunite with nature can walk a couple of kilometers towards Small Utrish and settle on a wild beach, smoothly turning into a nudist one. It will not be difficult to identify the latter, since in front of its entrance you will see a piece of rock with a bright inscription saying exactly where you got to. In the same places you can enjoy swimming in the amazing Pearl Falls.

Wild beach between Sukko and Big Utrish
Wild beaches are always popular among vacationers who prefer the romance of pristine nature. From the beach of the Smena camp in Sukko to Bolshoy Utrish, you can walk to wild beaches, where a large number of tourists with tents rest. From here you can climb a steep slope and get on the track, so there are no problems with provisions. Fans of swimming and sunbathing naked often tend to wild beaches. The beach consists of large and small stones, the entrance to the sea is smooth, small pebbles.
Other Photos of Wild Beaches in Bolshoi Utrish
The beach near the yacht club "Fort Utrish"
Before reaching the village of Bolshoy Utrish, near the water area of Lake Zmeinoye, a wild beach begins, which belongs to the Marine Club. Here you can see a whole tent city with lovers of wild recreation. From here you can climb the wild slope to the observation deck, which is located at the entrance to the village of Bolshoi Utrish. There are no amenities on the beach, the beach itself is quite wide and spacious. The beach consists of small pebbles.

Zmeinka beach
Zmeinka Beach took its name from the Bay "Snake Lake". The beach is located right at the entrance to the bay, next to the flooded ship. Previously, it was a fresh lake in which many snakes were found. Then they made a passage of water into the sea, respectively, the water in the lake became salty and there were no snakes. Only the name remains. Now there is a yacht club "Fort Utrish" with a closed territory. There is a campsite on the Zmeinka beach and provides accommodation and rental services for gazebos and barbecues. The area is small but very cozy. The beach itself is small, consists of large stones of rock origin, the entrance to the sea is not very comfortable. Opposite the entrance to the beach there is a grocery store, and indeed there are many cafes, restaurants, shops and entertainment nearby.

Central beach of Big Utrish
The beach is located in the village itself and is very convenient for vacationers. What is most important on a summer day is, of course, a shade where you can hide and enjoy your vacation. There are plenty of such places on the central beach. On the beach there are common canopies, wide and long enough, they are located on the right and left parts of the beach, thereby defining their boundaries. Trees growing along the beach serve as natural shelters from the sun. The beach is equipped with everything necessary for the most demanding tourists; locker rooms, showers and toilets, water activities such as parachuting, riding an inflatable banana, jet skis and other attractions popular among tourists. And of course, many cafes offer their guests a lot of delicious food.

Beach of the Bolshoi Utrish Peninsula
This beach is the inner part of Cape Bolshoi Utrish. The beach here is wide and long, so you feel freer here than on the central beach. Awnings from the sun are installed along the entire length of the beach. Closer to the lighthouse there is a cafe where you can have a very tasty meal. The entrance to the sea must be overcome on large and sharp stones, but the water here is simply transparent. This beach stretches right up to the wild beaches near the lighthouse and is popular with freediving enthusiasts and spearfishers. Big Utrish

Wild beach at the lighthouse
The wild beaches around the lighthouse are popular with divers, freedivers and spearfishers. There are especially many fishermen here who are happy to fish here and admire the sea views. There are practically no people on the beach itself, they all swim along the wild shores and only the most thirsty for a vacation remote from everyone dare to settle here. Sunbathing on the beach is almost impossible, large stones and rock fragments are strewn around the shores of the lighthouse. Only closer to the shore, the stones are replaced by small pebbles, where you can sit.

Beach under the bridge
A very small piece of the beach on the territory of the pier and the parking base for ships did not go unnoticed by tourists. It is located under the bridge leading to the most remote part of Bolshoi Utrish Island, the lighthouse area. Small pebbles, smooth entrance to the sea. You can drive to the beach directly by car, paying 300 rubles at the entrance to the territory of Cape Bolshoi Utrish.

Car camping beach
The camping beach is located along the entire outer side of Cape Bolshoy Utrish, the one that looks at the lagoons. The beach strip here is quite wide and long. There are several ways of accommodation on the territory, such as: campers with double beds, located in the very center of the beach, right by the sea, and it is possible to set up a tent in the vast territory of the juniper forest. Paid travel by car is possible to the beach, through a large barrier at the final stop. The beach provides many services for a comfortable stay of tourists. Showers, changing rooms, beach activities, cafes and canteens. In good weather, you can see standing boats on the camping beach, for a fee you can get to the protected area, to 2,3,4 lagoons and of course to the Small Utrish beach. Also within walking distance near the beach is the Utrish Dolphinarium.

Konstantinovsky beach
"Konstantinovsky coast" - so in the 50-60s the coast from Big Utrish to Small Utrish was called. Konstantinovsky beach is essentially wild beaches leading to lagoons. Konstantinovsky beach starts from the parking lot of the Bolshoi Utrish peninsula and stretches for 500 meters to the beach of Prometheus rocks. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to go further, because. after the recognition of these places as a reserve, no one is allowed through the guard post, even it will not be possible to swim through the water. The entrance to the sea is rocky and not comfortable, but clear water and a lot of marine life will please any tourist.

Beach "Mount Prometheus"
Utrish is translated from the Adyghe language as "a failed mountain". Such an outstanding landscape is the result of an earthquake that occurred here several million years ago. According to legend, it was here that the angry Zeus, striking with lightning, split the earth, and in the resulting canyon, Prometheus was chained to one of the rocks as a punishment for giving fire to people. After many years of suffering, Prometheus, freed by Hercules, went down to the sea, dipped his wounded body into the water and his wounds healed. So now the sea water around Utrish is considered healing, and the huge stone wall is called Prometheus. On the beach there is now a guard post of the juniper reserve, beyond which you can’t go on foot, so vacationers have chosen the first half of the beach.

First lagoon
The first lagoon originates from the Pearl Falls to the end of Cape Crocodile. From here begin the nudist beaches of Utrish, which are so eager for vacationers from all over Russia. The first lagoon is under the protection of the Cossacks and is part of the reserve, so you can go to it through the forest or by boat to the second lagoon and walk in the opposite direction. There are no signs of civilization here, drinking water is collected from the Pearl Falls and provisions are stocked up in the Big Utrish. An amazingly beautiful place with virgin nature and a small-pebble beach.

Cape Crocodile
Cape Crocodile, as the locals called it, is located between the first and second lagoons. It is a hill on top of which juniper grows, but from the side of the sea it is a steep rock that has the shape of a crocodile's head, if you look at the cape from the sea. From Cape Crocodile begins a zone of legal recreation for tourists.

Second lagoon
Bypassing Cape Crocodile you get to the territory of the second lagoon. It is not large in size, but densely populated by "Indians", as the locals called the summer inhabitants of the lagoons, among whom are: artists, hippies, sectarians and just people who fled civilization for various reasons. Here you can legally relax for tourists, put up tents, swim and sunbathe. The coast consists of large and small pebbles. The entrance to the sea is smooth, the bottom is small pebbles. Vacationers entertain themselves on their own, for example, they catch fish, prick ruffs on a stick with teeth and talk about how delicious fish soup is obtained from ruffs.

third lagoon
The beach on the third lagoon is rocky, there are few small jackdaws. Swimming is not very comfortable. Here is another attraction of Utrish - Picturesque Lake. The beach shares it with the sea, and on the shore of the lake there are famous relic junipers. Previously, there were not many people here, now there are many more. this lagoon is not part of the reserve and in summer there are many lovers of wild recreation. You can get here by boats that depart from the Big Utrish. The beach is quiet and calm, people entertain themselves on their own. On the beach of the third lagoon, there is a stand with information for tourists on what can and cannot be done on the territory of the forest fund. There are many nudists on the beach, they feel very good here, but among them there are also dressed ones, everyone gets along.

Cable car beach
Kanatka beach is located between the third and fourth lagoons. You can go down to it by a rope thrown from a low cliff. From that, the locals called it the cable car beach. There are much fewer people here than on the second and third lagoons, due to inaccessibility. The beach is pebbly, at the entrance to the sea there are larger stones.

fourth lagoon
Access to the fourth lagoon, as well as to the first one, is blocked by local Cossacks guarding the reserve. The fourth lagoon can be recognized immediately, it is the longest 1.5 km long along a wild beach and is located directly under a very high rock, sometimes overgrown with juniper. You can admire the fourth lagoon from the sea by riding a boat, which is parked in the Big Utrish.

Cape Hedgehog
Immediately after the fourth lagoon is Cape Hedgehog. Small Utrish originates from it. So the cape was nicknamed by locals, fishermen and boat drivers. If you look at the cape from the sea, you will certainly see the similarity of the cape with a hedgehog. The edge of the cape with trees is the spout, the rocky part is the muzzle, and the hill covered with juniper, the body with needles. As a guideline for the search for Cape Hedgehog, a mountain in the form of a volcano serves, it is just in the background of the cape.

Small Utrish beach
The Small Utrish Peninsula is a unique place where relic juniper grows, the oils of which have disinfecting properties. Water and air in the Small Utrish are considered very beneficial for health. On September 2, 2010, the order of the Russian Federation "On the creation of the Utrish Reserve" was signed. On the one hand, people and ecologists can rejoice at this, but, on the other hand, since 2011, the management of the reserve has been taking very active steps in order to close the access of people, ordinary visitors, to the coast area between Bolshoi and Malyi Utrish along the shore, namely to the places where people have rested for many decades.
You can get to the beach of Small Utrish in different ways; by water on boats from Bolshoy Utrish or Dyurso village, as well as along the mountain road from Sukko or along the road from Dyurso village. You can use the services of such popular entertainment as jeeping or quad bike rides, because only such cars will drive to Small Utrish. There is almost no civilization here, only the sun, the sea and nothing more. On the Small Utrish, the harmony of primeval nature is fully felt. There are only two recreation centers, which are located in a shady oak forest. Arriving to take a break from the city hustle and bustle, tourists especially appreciate this place. There is not much entertainment on Maly Utrish: fishing, diving and spearfishing. Small Utrish and its underwater world are rich in its diverse inhabitants. You can also often see dolphins swimming very close here. The beach is wide and long, consists of medium pebbles. The entrance to the sea is perfect, the water is very clean and transparent. Rest in Small Utrish is a pleasure!

Beach recreation center Maly Utrish
Opposite the recreation center Small Utrish there is a miracle beach that will appeal to lovers of wildlife, clear sea, virgin beach and silence. The beach is located on the Black Sea in a unique place, on the territory of the State Dendrological and Marine Reserve "Utrish" a little to the left of the main beach of Small Utrish. Lovers of diving, spearfishing, interesting natural landscapes, clean beaches and picturesque landscapes come here. A beach with small and large pebbles, turning its back to the sea, picturesque rocks are clearly visible. Here, the gentle southern sun will give you a wonderful tan and peace of mind.

How to get to Big Utrish
First of all, you need to come directly to Anapa, and from there to Bolshoy Utrish is within easy reach. It is only 15 km from the city, so you can use public transport running in both directions. So, every 15 minutes, regular buses run between these two settlements, as well as minibus No. 109. But for a change, you can sail to the village on a boat or a passenger ship. Pleasure boats and small passenger ships regularly run from Anapa and Novorossiysk to Bolshoi Utrish.

In the village itself, there is no transport network as such, and entry by car is completely prohibited into the territory of the reserve. The car can be left outside the reserve, in a paid parking lot. From this we can conclude that rest here is suitable for those who are not afraid of walking or at least cycling.

Accommodation in the village

Since Bolshoi Utrish is a protected area, there are not a large number of hotels or guest houses here. Therefore, most tourists stop in Anapa, and come here in the morning and leave in the evening. Whoever is more lucky, he manages to rent a house or a room in the private sector. Therefore, it is better to take care of accommodation in Bolshoi Utrish in advance if you do not want to tire yourself with trips to the sea from Anapa.

However, there is another way out of the situation - living in a tent. If wild tourism and Spartan conditions do not disgust you, then you may well come here with your tent and settle down for free right on the seashore, in a campsite.

As for the benefits of civilization, there are very few of them in the village. There are several shops, vegetable tents. You can buy the freshest, freshly caught fish and other seafood from local fishermen. However, you will have to stock up on drinking water, as there are some problems with it here. There are no pharmacies, ATMs and post office here either. But at the pier there are cafes and restaurants where you can eat very decently. The menu is dominated by dishes from fish and other marine life, however, meat dishes are not alien to these establishments.

Where to have fun and what to see

There are no noisy discos and nightclubs in the village. Tourists go to Anapa for such entertainment. Here you can also have fun in a different way, for example, spearfishing. You will enjoy not only swimming in crystal clear water, but also the process of hunting flounder, sea ruff, croaker, mussels and other underwater inhabitants, which are apparently invisible here.

lighthouse and chapel

Fans of historical and architectural monuments are recommended to go to the lighthouse, which stands on the island of Utrishonok. This islet is connected to Bolshoi Utrish by an artificial embankment-lintel, along which you can walk to this attraction. This lighthouse is a monument erected in 1975 in honor of the feat of the crew of the ship "Jan Fabricius". It is installed next to the lighthouse that was already in operation at that time, in which a small chapel was made in the 1990s.

Dolphinarium

This is one of the most popular and visited places not only in Bolshoy Utrish, but throughout Anapa. Moreover, this dolphinarium is one of the best in Russia. It was opened in 1992, and since then, year after year, its wonderful inhabitants have been giving performances that delight both children and their parents. The uniqueness of this dolphinarium is that the enclosures with dolphins and other marine animals are located in the open air, in a lagoon with sea running water. This creates more comfortable conditions for dolphins, as they are as close as possible to the natural habitat of these amazing animals. Thanks to this, dolphins feel more relaxed and comfortable here, and they are happy to perform the most difficult tricks.

In addition to the Black Sea dolphins - bottlenose dolphins, other wonderful "artists" perform before the guests: the northern sea lion, the northern fur seal, the beluga whale. After the performance, for a fee, you can take pictures with dolphins, feed them with fish or swim with them. If you are planning to visit the dolphinarium, be sure to bring your swimsuit, hat, sunscreen and, of course, your camera.

SOLDIER MOUNTAIN
Mountain height of 186 meters, located in the village of Sukko. It got its name because of the frontier post, located right at the foot of the mountain. The frontier post existed here until the early sixties of the last century.
Now here, at the foot of the mountain, there is a children's camp "Change", which combines recreational and educational functions. It is this summer camp that the film crew of the Yeralash film magazine visits every summer in order to shoot seaside stories for the year ahead.

Soldier Mountain is the natural end of the Sukko Valley, but the path to it is somewhat difficult, harder than Economic Mountain. The fact is that not so long ago there was a forty-meter collapse of the coast into the sea and the road now runs over the cliff. Those who have come down will have a wonderful view of the sea from a bird's eye view - specifically the flight of swallows, which fly right next to tourists in the summer. You can get here by minibus from Anapa, going to the village of Sukko.

MOUNTAIN MARE
The highest point in this part of the Caucasus Range. The height of the Mare is 531.6 m. The forest rises along the slopes of the mountain to the very top, on which a metal triangulation sign is installed. And the village of Sukko in the Dry Liman is a dirt road that runs along the northern slope of the mountain. In dry weather, you can even drive a car here.

Waterfall gap (valley)

It is located in the southwestern part of the Abrau peninsula. It is cut into the slopes of the Navagir ridge (North-Western Caucasus). The mouth of the valley opens to the Black Sea, two kilometers southeast of Cape Bolshoi Utrish.

The boundaries of the valley are the crests of the Navagir ridge in the segment between the marks of 485.2 m and 531.6 m (Mount Kobyla) and its spurs extending from these marks to the sea. It is a natural monument, area 4 sq. km.

The river flowing through the valley is called the Pearl. It reaches 3 km in length. Dries out periodically. In the mouth part, the river breaks down in three or four jets from a waterfall ledge 5.2 m high directly onto a pebble beach.

In the fall zone of the waterfall streams, forest grapes grow abundantly, descending in lashes onto the coastal ledge. Willow, elm, ash, field maple and Norway maple, white poplar, carcass grow along the Zhemchuzhnaya River. All tree species are abundantly intertwined with vines - clematis, grapes, common ivy, and sage. The slopes of the river are steep, steep, open. Rare Red Book species grow on them.

Waterfall Pearl

The most western of all known described waterfalls of the Krasnodar Territory. Located in the Anapa region, 2.5 km from the village of Bolshoy Utrish, on the Vodopadny stream. Height 5.5 m. The jet of water falls directly onto the rocky beach. This is a rare natural phenomenon when the mouth of a watercourse is expressed as a 5-meter ledge. The waterfall is located on the route of the ecological path laid by local ecologists. From the bridge over the Sukko River (the beginning of the pedestrian part) to the waterfall is 6.5 km.

Lake Serpentine

It is connected to the sea by an artificially dug channel. The area is 22.5 hectares, the depth reaches 8 meters. The lake is used as a bay, a harbor for fishing boats to enter here. Many snakes find food and shelter here, which is why the lake was nicknamed so. The lake owes its origin to a powerful collapse that once occurred here. It is located 0.8 km north of the village of Bolshoy Utrish.

Bay "Snake Lake"

Near the village of Bolshoy Utrish there is a picturesque bay "Snake Lake". Once it was a really fresh lake, fed by underground sources. Many snakes have always lived in its vicinity. Then the jumper between the lake and the sea was blown up, turning it into a bay for fishing boats. And the snakes have adapted and now swim in lightly salted water. Behind the lake there is a beautiful pebble beach, where it is good to spend a fine day. Fortunately, there are almost no people here. And there is such beauty all around. True, recently it has not been easy to get here from the village along the lake. The fact is that the lake was chosen by the owners of expensive yachts, the area around is fenced and guarded. Therefore, it is most convenient, after going along the road towards Sukko to the observation deck, then go down to the sea. When you leave, don't leave any trash behind.

The winery in Sauk-Der has existed since 1956. It was founded on the site of the former shell stone mines, which are extensive underground galleries, the depth of which is 23.5 meters, and where the wine storage is now located.

African Village
In the Sukko Valley, next to a mountain lake, there is an excursion and tourist complex African Village, which over the years of its work has become the brightest and most exotic place in the Anapa resort.

Diving
Sukko has a very convenient sea shelf for diving: clear water, an abundance and variety of underwater flora and fauna. All this makes diving in Sukko one of the unforgettable adventures.

Utrish Dolphinarium
Located a few kilometers from Sukko. The performance lasts about an hour. The stands from which the audience watches the performance are in the open air. Shows of fur seals and Black Sea dolphins are shown in the natural sea pool.

Adventure Park Braveheart
The park is located in the Sukko Valley, on the border with the Big Utrish Reserve and Sukko Lake. A special area with ditches, fortifications and towers for playing paintball, a rope city with various obstacles, a crossbow and archery shooting range, an equipped pond for sports fishing and gazebos with barbecue facilities. There are activities for the whole family and a large company.

Climate
The village is located in the temperate continental climate zone. Due to the proximity of Varvarovka to the Black Sea, the climate of this area is endowed with characteristics that are inherent in the Mediterranean type, namely: snowless and very mild winters (the air temperature during this period does not fall below + 2 ° C) and warm long summers (the temperature stays at within +25°С). During the swimming season, which begins in May and ends in October, the water in the sea warms up to +24°C. Precipitation for the year is extremely small - about 564 mm. Sunny, clear days in the village - as many as 280 a year.

ATTRACTIONS NEAR BOLSHIK UTRISH

A little about the village of Sukko, which lies in a picturesque place!
It is worth visiting at least once, as there is a very clean sea and wonderful air, very picturesque views, and many interesting places nearby!
Expanse for those who like to walk in the mountains on foot!
The village is located in the river valley. Sukko, surrounded by mountains, 13 kilometers south of Anapa. The Caucasus Mountains begin here, but in the area of the village they are low, about 300-400 meters. The surrounding mountains are covered with broad-leaved forests, consisting mainly of oaks and beeches. In the Sukko Valley, there are also groves of pine and relic juniper, which release aromatic resins on hot summer days. Thanks to them, the air in the valley acquires beneficial properties.
The village has a developed infrastructure for servicing and entertaining vacationers.

Anapa is a resort city, where we highly recommend going to see all the sights, but still, we recommend living in Sukko or Utrish, because from mid-July the water in Anapa begins to bloom, and has an unpleasant look and smell.
In Anapa, it is worth relaxing in June and in the first half of July, as the water warms up faster here, there are good beaches, and there are not so many people.
Anapa is located in the southwestern part of the Krasnodar Territory of Russia, on the Black Sea coast. Anapa is located 1691 km from Moscow, 170 km from Krasnodar, 360 km from Sochi at the junction of the Greater Caucasus and the Taman Peninsula.
Here, the wooded Caucasian foothills are replaced by flowering valleys, and the Taman plains are interspersed with sea estuaries. The summer heat is softened by a cool wind from the sea.

Sea of Azov. Estuaries, the mouth of the Kuban River, sandy spits, therapeutic mud and numerous melons.
This is a separate song, it is also good to go here to understand the difference between the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
Near the city of Temryuk, famous for its vineyards and wineries.
Here the wine can be tasted and bought in reserve!
The city is located on the right bank of the Kuban River (Petrushin sleeve), which, near Temryuk, flows into the Temryuk Bay of the Sea of Azov near Temryuk. Near the city, to the northeast of it, lies the Kurchansky Estuary.
Temryuk is famous for its mud volcanoes. Mud clinics were opened on the coast of the Sea of Azov, 11 km from the center of Temryuk in the village of Golubitskaya. One of the largest volcanoes is located almost in the center of Temryuk. At the entrance to Temryuk, from Krasnodar, in the area of the 14th stop, there is Rotten Mountain, famous for a large colony of mud volcanoes.

Near Varvarovka:
Varvarovka is a village on the way from Sukko to Anapa, it is behind Varvarovka that the last (first) pass lies, where the Caucasus Mountains begin (end), and an amazing view of Anapa and the entire Black Sea coast opens up.
Varvarovka, by the way, is known for its local winery and brand store, where you can buy this wine at very reasonable prices! Whoever visits these parts, I strongly advise you to stop by this store, because the wine here is real! Unlike many shops where they can sell you "powdered wine" or chacha from alcohol flavored with additives. Who drank, he knows!

We will tell you what entertainment and attractions await tourists during their holidays in the village of Utrish. Read before your trip.

Utrish is a single geographical name for a peninsula, a cape, a mountain, two settlements and a dendrological customer. All these facilities are located southeast of Anapa. On the Bolshoi Utrish peninsula there is a village of the same name, across the strait from it is the island of Utrish with a lighthouse, and another 6 km to the southeast on the peninsula is the village of Maly Utrish.

Why tourists come here

First of all - because of the landscapes and beaches. There are dense juniper and pistachio thickets, high banks, clear water without an abundance of algae, and a lot of marine life. Lovers come here to watch dolphins and relax among the picturesque landscapes, connoisseurs of the pristine beauty of forests and groves.

The beaches of Bolshoi Utrish are lively and well-maintained. There are small cafes and restaurants, water equipment rental is open. Most of the coastline is not sandy, but pebbly. About a kilometer south of the well-maintained beaches, naturists and lovers of "wild" recreation are usually located.

Fishing and spearfishing, diving, windsurfing, and yachting flourish in these places. You can rent a boat, scooter, catamaran. For tourists, hiking, horseback riding, boat trips are carried out - both within the limits of Bolshoi Utrish, and with a visit to Anapa and Novorossiysk.

How is the weather

Thanks to forests, groves, an abundance of reservoirs, and coastline features, the climate of Bolshoi Utrish is milder than in Novorossiysk, although they are located nearby. Summer air temperature usually does not exceed +30 °C, although the water warms up to +25 °C. In the bay and in shallow water in summer, the water can be quite warm - up to +30 °C, although at a depth it remains quite cool - about +20 °C.

There are 280 sunny days a year on average. The most favorable time for recreation is the season from August to when the air warms up not so much - up to a maximum of +24 ° C.

Are you planning a trip? That way!

We have prepared some useful gifts for you. They will help save money at the stage of preparation for the trip.

A bit of history

The Bolshoi and Malyi Utrish peninsulas were supposedly formed as a result of an earthquake and subsequent landslide within 5,000 years ago. The name "Utrish" - most likely, from the name of the tribe of Utrigurs who lived in Taman, Kuban, in the Sea of \u200b\u200bAzov in the III-VII centuries AD. There is also a version that "utrish" - in Turkic "collapse".

It is on it that Big Utrish is freely located, which is a seaside resort actively visited by domestic and foreign tourists. And its uniqueness lies in the fact that it is part of a landscape floristic and marine reserve, which was created back in 1994, and since 2010 has received an official status - Utrish State Nature Reserve.

It occupies an area of 5112 hectares, along the Black Sea coast stretches for twelve kilometers. More than 60 percent of its territory is occupied by plants of the Mediterranean flora. Among them is an iron tree, which, if it falls into the water, instantly sinks in it; Pitsunda pine skumpia; the rarest species are juniper and pistachio. But in general, more than one hundred and seven species of trees and shrubs, about eight dozen herbaceous plants grow on Bolshoi Utrish. Six dozen species of representatives of the flora are listed in the Red Book. Among the oak forests there are oaks - old-timers, which are over a thousand years old! And the bird world here is quite rare - there are a serpent eagle, a white-tailed eagle, a black vulture, a vulture, a peregrine falcon famous all over the world. In the same places and nowhere else among the Anapa resort area, the Mediterranean tortoise and the Mediterranean butterfly are found. Let's add to the above - 227 species of seaweed grow in the water area of the Big Utrish. Migration routes of mackerel, horse mackerel, anchovy, bottlenose dolphins pass through its waters. From the north, Bolshoi Utrish protects the Novagir Range of the Great Caucasus Mountains from piercing cold winds. Therefore, the climate here is milder than in the same Anapa, which is approached by sultry, especially in summer, steppes. When tourists get off the sightseeing buses or on the pier, the surroundings fascinate them - better than vaunted Switzerland! Therefore, we can say with full confidence that the main attraction of Bolshoi Utrish is the landscape floristic marine reserve of the same name we mentioned. From acquaintance with it, we recommend sightseeing in a unique resort village!

Dolphinarium in natural marine environment

This is not on the entire domestic Black Sea coast! Yes, and on Azov too! You can sail to it on pleasure boats, which during the high season several times set sail from the Anapa, Dzhemetinsky or Vityazevsky berths. And you can get there either by sightseeing or regular regular buses. The distance is only eighteen kilometers. And the view from the window of the bus, minibus or taxi!

The highway runs along a high bank. Above you is a bottomless blue sky with white-winged gulls, petrels and other sea birds. And below is the endless emerald-blue sea with yachts, sailboats and other vessels, in front of which bottlenose dolphins swim swiftly, jumping out of the water. By the way, they also perform in the dolphinarium along with seals, seals and other inhabitants. In an open-air theater and, as expected, with stands and a roof over them. Marine artists live in their natural environment. The dolphinarium is fenced off from the sea with only nets - the water is running, bright and always fresh. You and the children will be completely delighted with the concert program - dolphins suddenly synchronously and masterfully jump out of the water in pairs, glide along its smooth surface on their tails, jump through hoops, show class in handling the ball, and perform other tricks merrily. And at the same time they slyly look at you - well, weakly! And under the curtain they slip out of the water onto the platform, and here they are already at your disposal - you can stroke them, hug them, kiss them, they willingly and with visible pleasure pose with you for a camera or video camera. You can even swim with them in the waters of the dolphinarium, in an embrace! All performances of marine animals are practically sold out!

The seabed is full of surprises

Bolshoi Utrish has its own diving club. He has expert instructions. Accompanied by them (equipment can be rented), you can go down into the depths of the sea and admire the fantastic unearthly world.

Myriads of the most diverse species of fish, crabs large and small, majestic stingrays floating overhead, and you can meet the Black Sea shark katran on your way. There is no need to be afraid of her: she does not attack a person, on the contrary, when she sees him, and even in a terrible mask, she strives to swim away from sin away. In the Bolshoi Utrish area, mussels are grown at the bottom of the sea. Then they are served at the table in local and other coastal restaurants. A separate conversation about rapanas - sea mollusks, whose tender meat is a solid protein. In the markets, it is valued dearly - from 600 rubles per kilogram. Delicious salads, pilaf, frying - these and other dishes from tender shellfish. At the bottom of the sea you can find rare artifacts - ancient coins, amphoras and so on, so on, so on. It is not surprising: once Anapa, the resort village of which Bolshoi Utrish is considered, bore the name Gorgippia. The slave trade flourished in it, their own coins were minted, important princes and other rich representatives of the stronger sex came here for slaves for their harems or even in search of white-faced beauties whom they were happy to take as wives. By the way, in Anapa there is an open-air museum Gorgippia, the exhibits of which and the local history museum adjacent to the excavation indicate that the city is no less than two and a half thousand years old.
There are many legends around Big Utrish. One of them is that in ancient times, the hero Prometheus was chained to one of its rocks at the behest of Zeus the Thunderer, who gave fire to people, and a cruel huge eagle flew to him to torment his liver. True, this legend is disputed by the people of Sochi, who even erected a monumental monument to him. But recently, a crypt with frescoes about the exploits of another ancient Greek hero, Hercules, was opened in the Gorgippia. From mythology, it is known for certain that it was he who freed Prometheus from the captivity of strong chains. Who is right, who is wrong - let the experts argue. But the discovery of the crypt speaks in favor of the fact that Prometheus was still chained to one of the rocks of the Big Utrish. By the way, the legendary Argonauts also sailed past it in search of the Golden Fleece!

snake lake

It is picturesque and wonderful! In its own way, this is a bay with an area of more than twenty hectares and a depth of eight meters or more. And once it was a closed reservoir, and there really were a lot of snakes in it. To get rid of them, they decided to connect the lake with the sea, removing the isthmus. Which they successfully did. Now yachts and other small boats are moored in the bay at the berths. On its shores they rest, fish. For the information of tourists - the high season on Bolshoi Utrish lasts from May to October inclusive. In summer it is not as hot here as, for example, on the beaches of Anapa. And in winter, on the contrary, it is warm and comfortable. There are campgrounds here. And in the neighborhood on Small Utrish - a nudist beach. Not a small part of the tourists settles on the banks of the Big Utrish with whole families or young couples, and lives here until late autumn. They themselves take care of food, and are very satisfied with such a rest in the bosom of nature!

It's a sin not to visit the resort of Abrau

Along with the Big Utrish nature reserve, the Abrau resort is practically the main attraction of the Abrau Peninsula.

Directly, by sea, and then by overland route of seven kilometers, you will reach your goal in a relatively short time. But in a roundabout way among the picturesque foothills, the road is longer - 69 kilometers. Somewhere over an hour. But the game, as they say, is worth the candle! Abrau is located off the coast of the largest freshwater lake in the Great Caucasus Mountains. The view of the surroundings is picturesque. After all, it was not for nothing that the royal residence was located here in pre-revolutionary times. And the Grand Duke Lev Golitsyn himself was engaged in the cultivation of vineyards. - the birthplace of Russian champagne, which is not inferior in exquisite taste to French! The magic drink has won many international awards. The factory of sparkling wines operates to this day. It has a museum and a company store. So, leaving the resort, you can buy a couple or another of the magnificent Abrau-Durso champagne. Why such a double name? It is associated with the name of another village of Durso, located on the coast and to which, as we have already mentioned, seven and a half kilometers. In fact, this is one resort. Only its first part (Abrau) is located among the mountains, and the other (Dyurso) is on the very shore of the Black Sea. The royal family rested here and there, as, indeed, did Prince Lev Golitsyn.

Even more attractions outside of Bolshoi Utrish

But remember, it's all here. Take, for example, the resort of Sukko. It's only five kilometers away. They can also be walked. Moreover, it is very beneficial for health. And on the Big Utrish, and in Sukko and their environs, there are whole groves of healing relic juniper. His breath instantly destroys germs and viruses in your body. Treats asthma, respiratory tract, good for the heart. You will see the Soaring Eagle stele - a witness to the beginning of the Great Caucasus Mountains near the resort city of Anapa and has now become a landmark, to which a real pilgrimage of tourists during the high season. Everyone wants to capture themselves next to a man-made mighty bird. And in Sukko itself - unique swamp cypressesgrowing in the lake of the same name with the name of the village. Knee-deep in water, and do not rot. Their trunks are impregnated with resin. According to legend, these are not trees at all, but the natuhai warriors turned into them, who stood in the way of the elements that the angry God the Thunderer sent to the tribe for worshiping paganism. And there would be big trouble, but thirty-three brave young men stood shoulder to shoulder on the path of the elements. Their heroism impressed the Thunderer so much that with a wave of his hand he stopped all disasters, but turned the heroes into cypresses. According to another legend, the trees were planted by an American family in memory of their son who died early. For certain, however, it is known that California and Florida are the birthplace of swamp cypresses. They live for more than half a thousand years. So tourists will admire them for a long time. In addition, local authorities are ready to multiply the rows of cypress trees with new plantings.

Anapa and Bolshoi Utrish are practically one whole, Transport runs regularly. The city is at hand. And it is full of attractions - the Gorgippia Museum, monumental

It is located 15 kilometers from Anapa. Getting there is not difficult. If you are driving, follow the signs for Sukko. In Sukko the main road goes to the left, on Utrish we go straight to the end.

View of B. Utrish from the road

On your own, you can get from Anapa by minibus (number 109). They run every 15 minutes.

Places in Bolshoi Utrish are very picturesque. On the way you will have a beautiful view of the sea and mountains. We reach and run into a small area. You are unlikely to be able to park your car, most likely there will be no places. True, for 150 rubles you can stand at a private house opposite, or for 300 you can drive further to the beach.

Central square in Utrish. There are no seats.

Central Beach

The beaches in Bolshoi Utrish are pebbly, boulders in some places, the water is clear. If you are with small children it is not very comfortable. The central beach is well equipped and cleaned. To the left along the coast, wild beaches begin. There are fewer people, you can fish. If you persevere further, you will stumble upon a nudist beach that has existed since the days of the Soviet Union.

Wild beach

On the way from the beach

There is a place for car camping. You can even rent a house on wheels.

Sights of Big Utrish

As mentioned above, the places here are very beautiful and you should not have problems with what to see in Bolshoi Utrish.

Here in the mountains is located. Rare plant species grow on its territory, such as juniper and pistachio trees, various animals and insects. Many plants and animals are listed in the Red Book. Thanks to certain vegetation, walks in the reserve have a positive effect on human health. Thyme grows in the Utrish reserve. This is a fragrant and very useful herb, which is added to tea, compote and much more.

In the nature reserve

There is also a dolphinarium in B. Utrish, built in the open-air sea lagoon. Because of this feature, trish dolphinarium continues its work from May 15 to October 15. There are entertainment programs with the participation of dolphins, seals and beluga whales.

show at the dolphinarium

There is also Prometheus Rock in Bolshoi Utrish. According to one version, Prometheus was chained to the rock here, giving fire to people. And here an eagle flew to him to peck at the liver, until Hercules freed him.

Map

Conclusion. Nature lovers will love it here. Children will be bored here, except for the dolphinarium and pictures with some kind of animal, there is nowhere to roam. Apparently, due to a little competition, housing prices are decently overpriced. As vacationers say, the water in the rooms is salty, the prices in stores are high. In my opinion, it is better to settle in a neighboring village or in Anapa, where you will receive all the benefits of civilization. And in Utrish it is better to come on an excursion.

20 km from Anapa, near the Black Sea coast, there is a natural complex unique in its flora and fauna - Bolshoy Utrish.
