There is one thing that makes aikido so powerful, it uses the strength of the opponents to win the fight.”

― Toba Beta

“If you are trying to learn aikido with your head, it is much more difficult to acquire knowledge at a deep subconscious level. The mind, choosing something, says: I don't want this, I want this. But when you just keep training, something changes. What changes will be deeper: your intellectual perception? What is deeper - the mind or the heart?

But when you just keep training, something changes. And you understand what changes are deeper than your intellectual knowledge, deeper than the mind or the heart.”
― Motomichi Anno-Sensei

My teacher, o-Sensei, died not too long ago. continued my practice, although I found it difficult in many ways. Don't rely on other people. Do your best, practice Aikido wherever you are."
― Motomichi Anno-Sensei

"Now is the most important time. Today the world is chaotic - you know that. But the age of the heart will come. O-Sensei emphasized that we must return to the heart. To firmly grasp the philosophy of O-Sensei is the heart of Aikido - and integrate it into your technique, on train hard and well, as long as O-Sensei trained, as long as the light from your heart shines. That which will give itself a natural outlet from you is Aikido."
― Motomichi Anno-Sensei

It was a powerful reminder that for the o-sensei, and therefore for all who sincerely accepted his art, Aikido was much more than a physical technique.”
― Motomichi Anno-Sensei

― Motomichi Anno-Sensei

“Suddenly, it seemed to me that the heavens were descending. The earth was popping up like a fountain of golden energy. This hot energy surrounded me, and my body and my mind became very light and very light. I could even understand the singing of small birds around me "At this moment, I could understand that my life's work in Budo was really based on the love of God, and that it is about the laws of the universe. I could not hold back my tears, and I cried without hesitation. From that day, I realized that this the greater Earth is my home and my hearth. The sun, the moon and the stars are mine. From that day on, never again have I felt any attachment to property and possessions."

Aikido starts in you.

Work on yourself and on the challenges that life in the spirit of aikido sets before you.

Everyone has a spirit that needs to be perfected, a body that needs to be trained, and a path that needs to be walked.

Always keep your mind clear and unclouded like the vast sky, the great ocean, or the highest mountain peak. Get rid of all thoughts.

Always keep your body light and radiant.

Fill yourself with light and wisdom.

In aikido, we do not rely on weapons or brute force to achieve a goal, instead we act in accordance with the laws of the universe, preserve the world around us, preserve life, and prevent destruction and death.

The purpose of training is to fight weaknesses, strengthen the body and improve the spirit.

Iron contains many impurities that make it fragile; in the forging process, it turns into steel from which a razor-sharp sword is made. Man is perfected in a similar way.

Aikido is the principle of non-resistance. Aikido is not belligerent, so it wins from the start. Those whose intentions are full of malice and aggressive thoughts are forced to retreat. Aikido is invincible because it does not compete with anything.

We exist for nothing other than to realize our true enlightened self. Establish peace in your life and then apply this art to everything that comes your way.

The art of aikido is a cure for a sick world. Evil and disorder reign in the world, and all this is because people have forgotten that all things come from one beginning. Return to this beginning and leave behind all selfish thoughts, primitive desires and anger. Those who own nothing, own everything.

Life is growth. If we stop growing technically and spiritually, then we are like the dead.

A good stance and posture reflect the right state of mind.

Life, by its very nature, always tests us. In training, you must constantly overcome and improve yourself in order to overcome any trials in life. Stop thinking in terms of life and death, and then you can go through all obstacles calmly and without harm to yourself.

Be grateful even for difficulties, failures and unkind people. Overcoming these obstacles is a necessary part of aikido training.

Failure is the key to success.

Every mistake has something to teach us.

In aikido we never attack. An attack is proof that a person has lost control of himself. Never run away from a challenge, but never try to restrain or control your opponent with force. Let the attacker move as he wants and immediately form one with him. Never catch up with your opponent. Redirect every attack and get behind it.

Even the strongest man has a limited scope for his power. Bring him out of this sphere into your own, and his power will melt.

In the process of your training, take your time, it takes at least 10 years to master the basics and advance to the first level of development. Never think of yourself as an omniscient, perfect master; you must train daily with your friends and students in order to progress in aikido.

1 The Art of Peace begins with you. Work on yourself and on the tasks assigned to you with the Art of Peace. Everyone has a spirit that can be cleansed, a body that can be trained in some way, and a suitable path to follow. You are here for the sole purpose of realizing your inner divinity and manifesting your primordial enlightenment. Grow peace in your own life and then apply the Art to everything you encounter in it.

2 You don't need houses, money, power or position to practice the Art of Peace. Heaven is where you are now, and this is exactly the place where you can train.

3 All things, material and spiritual, come from the same source and are related to each other, like members of the same family. Past, present and future are contained in the life force.

The entire universe came from a single source, and we came into being through a perfect process of unification and harmonization.

4 Aikido is the cure for a sick world. There is evil and disorder in the world because people have forgotten that all things come from the same source. Return to this source and leave all selfish thoughts, petty desires and anger. He who owns nothing, owns everything.

5 If you do not establish a connection with true emptiness, you will never comprehend the Art of the World.

6 The Art of Peace operates everywhere - from the vast expanses of space to the smallest plants and animals. Life force penetrates everywhere, its power knows no bounds. The Art of the World allows us to feel it and get in touch with this huge reserve of universal energy.

7 Eight forces support the universe: movement and immobility, hardness and fluidity, expansion and contraction, union and division.

8 Life is growth. If we stop growing, technically and spiritually, we can be considered dead. The Art of Peace glorifies the connection of heaven, earth and humanity. This is all that is true, good and beautiful.

9 From time to time it is necessary to seclude yourself among high mountains and secluded valleys in order to restore your connection with the source of life.

Breathe in and let yourself soar to all ends of the universe; exhale and collect the cosmos within you. Then breathe in all the fertility of the vibrating earth. Finally, mingle the breath of heaven and the breath of earth with your own breath, and let it become the Breath of Life itself.

10 All the laws of heaven and earth live in you. Life itself is truth, and that will never change. Everything in heaven and on earth breathes. Breath is the thread that binds the whole universe together. When you can feel the countless variations of the universal breath, then the individual techniques of the Art of Peace are born.

11 Look at the waves of the sea. Approaching the shore, they rise and fall with noise. This is how your breath should be. With each breath, take the entire universe into your belly. Know that four treasures are available to everyone: the energy of the sun and moon, the breath of heaven, the breath of the earth, and the ebb and flow of sea waters.

12 Practitioners of the Art of Peace must protect the realm of Mother Nature, this divine creation, and keep it beautiful and unfading. The condition of a warrior gives rise to natural beauty. The subtle techniques of a warrior manifest themselves as naturally as spring, summer, autumn and winter naturally succeed each other. The state of a warrior is nothing but the power that sustains all life.

13 When life triumphs, birth occurs; when life is hindered, death occurs. A warrior is always fighting for Harmony, and the stakes in this fight are life and death.

14 Contemplate the structure of this world, listen to the words of the wise and take everything good and good as your own. Based on this, open your own door to the truth. Don't overlook the truth that's right in front of you. Study the flow of water in the stream, smoothly and freely bending around the stones. Learn also from holy books and wise men. Everything around - even mountains, rivers, grasses and trees - should become your teacher.

15 Every day create yourself anew, dressing yourself in heaven and earth, washing yourself with wisdom and love, and placing yourself in the heart of Mother Nature.

16 Do not miss the opportunity to learn from the clear voice of a mountain stream splashing among the stones.

17 Harmony is born in the course of things, its heart is like the movement of wind and waves. The path is like veins that carry blood through our bodies following the natural flow of life force. If you are even slightly separated from this divine essence, it means that you have gone off the path.

18 Your heart is full of seeds ready to sprout. As the lotus flower grows out of the mud to reveal its bright beauty, so the cosmic breath causes the flower of the spirit to open and bear fruit in this world.

19 Comprehend the teachings of pine, bamboo and plum blossom. Pine is evergreen, firmly rooted and solid. Bamboo is strong, flexible, indestructible. The plum color is bold, fragrant and elegant.

20 May your mind always be bright and clear, like the boundless sky, the great ocean and the highest mountain peak. May your body always be filled with light and warmth. Fill yourself with the power of wisdom and enlightenment.

21 As soon as you begin to look for "good" and "bad" in your loved ones, a hole opens in your heart through which malicious thinking enters. If you test others, compete with them, criticize them - this leads to your weakening and defeat.

22 Penetrating sparkle of blades,

Forged by those who follow the Way,

Defeats the evil enemy

Crouching deep inside

Their souls and bodies.

23 The Art of Peace is not easy. We must fight to the very end, we must kill the evil desires and all lies in ourselves. Sometimes the Voice of the World sounds like thunder, bringing people out of their stupor.

24 Crystal clear,

Sharp and bright

sacred sword

Doesn't leave

Not the slightest loophole for evil.

25 To practice the Art of Peace, you must:

Calm your spirit and return to the source.

Purify the body and spirit by removing all malice, selfishness and passion.

Be eternally grateful for the gifts you received from

Universe, from your family, from Mother Nature and from people close to you.

26 The Art of Peace is based on the four Great Virtues:

Courage, Wisdom, Love and Friendship, symbolized by Fire, Sky, Earth and Water.

27 The essence of the Art of Peace is in cleansing oneself of malevolence, in harmonizing with one's environment and in removing all obstacles and barriers from one's path.

28 The only cure for materialism is the purification of the six senses (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind). If the senses overlap, your perception is suffocated. And the more it suffocates, the more the feelings are distorted. This is how the order of the world is disturbed, and this is the greatest evil of all. Purify your heart, release the six senses so that they can work without hindrance, and your body and soul will be inflamed.

29 Every life is a manifestation of the spirit, a manifestation of love. And the Art of Peace is the purest expression of this law. A warrior must put an end to all disputes and passions. Universal love operates in many forms; each of its manifestations must be free to express itself. The Art of Peace is true democracy.

30 Every Master, at all times and in all countries, heard the call and achieved harmony with heaven and earth. Many paths lead to the top of Mount Fuji, but this peak is one - love.

31 Loyalty and devotion lead to courage. Courage leads to sacrifice. Sacrifice gives rise to faith in the power of love.

32 The economy is the basis of society. When the economy is stable, society develops. An ideal economy combines the spiritual with the material, and the best goods are sincerity and love.

33 The Art of Peace does not rely on weapons or brute force; instead, we bring ourselves into harmony with the universe, maintain peace in our realms, nurture life, and prevent death and destruction. The true meaning of the word samurai is "one who serves and follows the power of love."

34 Nurture and purify the spirit of the warrior,

Doing service in this world;

Light the Way

With your inner light.

35 The Art of the World is extremely broad, it reflects the grand structure of the hidden and manifest worlds. A warrior is a living temple of the Divine, one who serves a great purpose.

36 Your mind must be in harmony with how the universe works; your body must move in time with the movements of the universe; body and mind must be linked together in the activities of the universe.

37 Although our path is different from the martial arts of the past, it is not necessary to abandon everything old. Take the venerable traditions into our new art and dress them in fresh clothes; on the foundation of the classic styles of the old new, better forms.

38 Daily practice in the Art of Peace will allow your inner divinity to shine brighter and brighter. Don't care if others are right or wrong. No need to look ahead, no need to act unnaturally. Focus on the Art of Peace and do not criticize other teachers and other traditions. The Art of the World never limits anyone or anything. It is all-encompassing and all-purifying.

39 Practice the Art of Peace sincerely, and then evil thoughts and deeds will disappear by themselves. The only desire that should remain is the thirst for more and more exercises on the Path.

40 Enlightened ones never stop working on themselves. The achievements of such masters cannot be described in words. The most perfect actions inherit the patterns contained in nature.

41 day by day

Train your heart

Mastering Your Technique:

Use the One to defeat the Many!

Such is the discipline of the Warrior.

42 Way of the Warrior

Can't be expressed

Words or hieroglyphs;

Capture its essence

And go forward to the Accomplishment!

43 The purpose of training is to tighten the weakened, strengthen the body and polish the spirit.

44 There are many slags in iron ore that weaken its properties; by melting, forging and tempering, iron is turned into steel, and then it is shaped into a razor-sharp sword. Human beings develop in the same sequence.

45 From ancient times

Diligent study and valor

They have always been two pillars on the Path.

By the power of constant exercise

Enlighten both body and soul.

46 Instructors can only give a fraction of the teaching. Only with persistent personal practice will you comprehend the secrets of the Art of Peace.

47 The Way of the Warrior is based on humanity, love and sincerity; the heart of military prowess is true courage, wisdom, love and friendliness. It is pointless to rely only on the physical aspects of militancy, because the power of the body is always limited.

48 A true warrior is always armed with three things: a shining sword of peacemaking; a mirror of courage, wisdom and friendliness; and the jewel of enlightenment.

49 The heart of man is inseparable from the soul of heaven and earth. In your practice, always remember the interaction of heaven and earth, water and fire, Yin and Yang.

50 The Art of Peace is non-resistance. Since it does not resist, it is initially victorious. Those whose intentions are evil and whose thoughts are contradictory are doomed to failure. The Art of Peace is invincible because it does not fight against anything.

51 There is no competition in the Art of Peace. The True Warrior is invincible because he does not fight anyone. When we say "defeat" we mean the defeat of our own conflicting mind.

52 To harm an opponent is to harm oneself. To restrain aggression without causing harm is the Art of Peace.

53 A fully awakened Warrior can freely use all the elements of heaven and earth. A true Warrior learns to correctly perceive the processes in the Universe and turn combat techniques into vehicles of purity, goodness and beauty. The mind and body of a Warrior must be permeated with enlightened wisdom and deep peace.

54 Always practice the Art of Peace with reverence and joy.

55 It is necessary to develop a strategy that would use all available physical conditions and elements. The best strategy is one that relies on an unlimited range of responses.

56 The correct posture of the body reflects the correct state of the mind.

57 The key to good technique is to keep your hands, feet and hips straight and centered. If you are centered, you can move freely. The physical center is your belly; if your mind is concentrated there, you are guaranteed success in any undertaking.

58 Move like a beam of light,

Fly like lightning

Hit like thunder

spin around

Stable center.

59 Techniques require four qualities that reflect the nature of our world. Depending on the circumstances, you must be: hard like a diamond, flexible like a willow, smooth like the flow of water, or empty like the sky.

60 If your opponent attacks like fire, parry like a pod, becoming completely liquid and fluid. Water, by its very nature, can never break into anything. On the contrary, she swallows any attack without harm to herself.

61 The beginning of all techniques is in the harmonious cooperation of the right and the left. The left hand holds life and death; the right hand governs them. The four limbs of the body are the four pillars of heaven; they manifest the eight directions, Yin and Yang, outer and inner.

62 Manifest Yang in your right hand,

balance it

With the Yin that manifests from the left,

And send your partner.

63 The techniques of the Art of Peace are neither fast nor slow, they are neither inside nor outside. They are on the other side of time and space.

64 Be born from the Great Earth;

Rise like the Great Waves;

Stand like a tree, sit like a rock;

Use One to defeat All.

Learn and forget!

65 When the enemy comes forward, go out to meet and greet him; if he wants to go away, see him off.

66 The body should be triangular, consciousness - round. The triangle signifies energy generation and is the most stable physical form. The circle symbolizes serenity and perfection, an inexhaustible source of techniques. The square is strength, the basis of all power.

67 Always try to be in union with heaven and earth; then you will see the world in its true light. Complacency will disappear and you will be able to absorb any attack.

68 If your heart is big enough to receive your opponents, you can see through them and avoid their attacks. And when you accept them into yourself, you will be able to guide them along the path indicated to you by heaven and earth.

69 Free from weakness,

Just ignore

For furious attacks

Your enemies:

Go and act!

70 Do not look at this world with fear and disgust. Boldly face what the gods offer you.

71 Every day of a person's life brings joy and anger, pain and pleasure, darkness and light, growth and decline. Every moment serves the great design of Nature. Do not try to deny or resist the cosmic order of things.

72 Guardians of this world

And guardians of the Ways

Gods and Buddhas

Techniques of the Art of Harmony

Allow to welcome

Every call.

73Life itself is a test. In training, you must test and polish yourself in order to adequately meet the great challenge of life. Go beyond life and death, and then you can go through all crises calmly and safely.

74 Be grateful even for difficulties, failures and for meeting bad people. Overcoming obstacles is an essential part of learning the Art of Peace.

75 Failure is the key to success;

Every mistake teaches us something.

76 Even if you are challenged

One single enemy

Be vigilant

For you are always surrounded

A host of enemies.

77 The Art of Peace is to make up for what is missing.

78 In our technique, we completely enter into the enemy's attack, completely dissolve in it and decisively control it. Strength resides where our Ki is concentrated and stable; confusion and evil thoughts appear when ki stagnates.

79 There are two types of Ki: ordinary Ki and true Ki. Normal Ki is coarse and heavy; True Ki is light and mobile. To be successful, you must free yourself from ordinary Ki and saturate your organs with true Ki. This is the basis of a powerful technique.

80 There is no attack in the Art of Peace. If you attack, it means that you do not control yourself. Never run away from a challenge, but do not unnaturally try to overwhelm or subdue your opponent. Let the attackers approach you however they please, and then merge with them. Never chase an enemy. Take each attack to the side and stay behind the attacker.

81 Seeing me in front of you,

The enemy is attacking

But by this time

I'm already standing

Safe behind him.

82 When attacked, unite the upper, middle and lower parts of your body. Enter, turn and merge with your opponent front and back, right and left.

83 Your spirit is your true shield.

84 Opponents come in a continuous stream, but in fact there is not a single opponent. Run deep into the attack and neutralize it by drawing its channeled power into your own sphere.

85 Even the strongest of men has a limited sphere of power. Pull him out of this sphere and drag him into yours, and his power will dissipate.

86 Left and Right

Avoid any

Sharp blocks and impact reflections.

Capture the minds of your opponents

And scatter them!

87 The real Art of Peace is not to sacrifice a single one of your warriors to defeat the enemy. Defeat enemies, always taking a safe and invulnerable position; then no one gets hurt. The Way of the Warrior, the Art of Politics, is to stop trouble before it starts. Conquer your opponents spiritually by making them realize the futility of their actions. The Way of the Warrior is to establish harmony.

88 Master Divine Techniques

Arts of the World,

And no enemy

Wouldn't dare

Challenge you.

89 Train without undue haste, for it takes at least ten years to master the basics and move on to the first stage. Never consider yourself an omniscient, perfect master; you must continue to train daily with your friends and students to advance in the Art of Peace.

90 Progress is coming

To the one who

Trains and trains;

If you rely on secret techniques,

You won't achieve anything.

91 Just play with that one,

That with that technique -

The job is useless.

Act decisively

Go all out!

92 If you perceive the true form of heaven and earth, then you will comprehend your own true form. If you comprehend any principle, you can take it into service. After putting something into practice, reflect on your efforts. So keep going all the time.

93 The art of peace can be expressed in these words: True victory is victory over oneself; May this day come soon! "True victory" signifies invincible courage; "victory over oneself" is an unremitting effort; and "that day" is the glorious day of triumph here and now.

94 Drop limiting thoughts and return to true emptiness.

Stand in the Great Void. This is the secret of the Way of the Warrior.

95 To truly realize the Art of Peace, you must be able to play freely in the manifested, latent, and divine realms.

96 The techniques of the Path of Peace are constantly changing; each situation is unique and the proper response should come naturally. Tomorrow's techniques will be different from today's. Don't get caught up in the outward form of the situation. The art of the world has no form - it is the study of the Spirit.

97 Eventually you'll have to forget about technology altogether. The further you advance, the less dogma remains. The Great Way is actually the No Way.

98 In the Art of Peace that I practice, there is a place for each of the eight million gods of the world, and I cooperate with all. The God of the World is great, he patronizes everything divine and enlightened in every country.

99 The Art of Peace is a form of prayer that generates light and warmth. Forget your little self, don't get attached to objects, and you will radiate light and warmth. Light is wisdom; warmth is compassion.

100 It is not enough to build temples and chapels. Affirm yourself as a living image of the Buddha. Each of us must become a goddess of compassion or a victorious Buddha.

101 Rely on the World,

To show your

Multifaceted abilities;

Pacify your surroundings

And create a wonderful world.

102 The Divine is not only what is high above you. It and

in heaven, it is on earth, it is within us.

103 Unite with the Cosmos, and then

Morihei Ueshiba is the founder of Aikido. Born in the city of Tanabe in Japan. Known as O-Sensei. Aikido was created by Ueshiba based on elements of the traditional Japanese martial arts Daito-ryu Aiki-jutsu, ken-jutsu and jo-jutsu. The name of aikido consists of three hieroglyphs: ai - connection, harmony; ki - spiritual strength; up - way. The basic principle of aikido as a system of self-defense is the use of the enemy's strength against him. Aikido uses throws, painful holds, and strikes. Also a characteristic feature of aikido are circular movements when leaving the line of attack and removing the opponent from balance.

There is no competition in the Art of Peace. The True Warrior is invincible because he does not fight anyone. To defeat means to defeat our own conflicting mind.

In order to arrive at the highest truth, one must continuously strive for sincerity with all one's heart.

The purpose of training is to tighten the weakened, strengthen the body and polish the spirit.

Each Master, at all times and in all countries, heard the call and achieved harmony with heaven and earth. Many paths lead to the top of Mount Fuji, but this peak is one - love.

In the Art of Peace that I practice, there is a place for each of the eight million gods of the world, and I cooperate with all of them. The God of the World is great, he patronizes everything divine and enlightened in every country.
