He is the most famous among others and the only one of all the akathists who is inscribed in the liturgical charter: it is read by the whole Church on Saturday of the Akathist of Great Lent, which also has the name "Praise of the Most Holy Theotokos." The name "akathist" means "a song performed while standing", that is, especially solemn. It is divided into kontakia - small prayer texts - and ikos, where the greeting “Rejoice” is repeated twelve times (in Greek “haire”, this is how the Greeks greeted each other) with the end “Rejoice, Unbrideless Bride”.
