The history of the university began in 1948, when an educational and consulting center of the Correspondence Polytechnic Institute was established.

As of August 1, 2002, 48 departments functioned at the university at eight faculties, training of specialists was carried out at four educational and qualification levels, in 26 areas:

The history of the university began in 1948, when an educational and consulting center of the Correspondence Polytechnic Institute was established.

• Since 1966, it has become a branch of the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute.

In the 60s of the last century, the university had the status of a branch of the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute. Only thirty years later his situation changed somewhat.
