Appearance and design

Over the course of many appearances in games and other media, Sonic's design has undergone some changes, however, compared to other characters in the series, they have been rather minor.

Appearance

Sonic again, together with Tails, frees the inhabitants of the island's animals, chasing Eggman and collecting the Chaos Emeralds. Since then, Sonic entrusts Tails with piloting his plane, and the team on it finds Eggman in his air fortress called Wing Fortress. As they approach the base, Eggman fires a laser at the plane, and Tails, short of reaching the fortress, makes an emergency landing on the island. Sonic manages to get to the fortress and tracks down Eggman. After defeating his next controlled machine, Robotnik retires on his shuttle to the Death Egg, which, apparently, has already taken off and is functioning. Tails picks up the hedgehog on the repaired plane and sends him after Eggman to the flying station.

On the Death Egg, Sonic faces a copy of himself, but not as good as Metal Sonic - Silver Sonic. After defeating the replica, Giant Mech is next, a giant combat-controlled robot with Robotnik's face. With difficulty defeating him, Sonic, using the power of the Chaos Emeralds, turns into Super Sonic and leaves the exploded base, where Tails meets him on a Tornado.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3

Sonic and Tails on Angel Island

Quite a lot of time has passed, after which Sonic and Tails go to Angel Island, known to many for the fact that the island is able to soar in the sky. Tails discovers an energy similar to the Chaos Emeralds on the island. Sonic retells the story of the island to Tails, and lo and behold, they are on their way to it. In addition, the heroes know that the Death Egg destroyed by Sonic also fell on the island. The fall caused Angel Island to stop floating and fall into the ocean.

Barely setting foot on the island, Sonic is attacked by Knuckles the Echidna, the island's lone defender. He takes away the Chaos Emeralds collected by Sonic and hides. A little later, Sonic and Tails find out that Eggman is also on the island. In addition, he again takes the animals into his capsules, and also makes his robots out of them. Sonic and Tails continue to traverse the Angel Island zones, fighting Eggman and getting tricked by Knuckles (Knuckles was actually tricked by Eggman). The doctor assured the echidna that this couple was going to steal the Master Emerald - the same stone, similar in energy to the Chaos Emeralds and holding the island in the sky).

Episode 2

After completing this level, Knuckles will attack the team, demanding to give the Emeralds to him. Sonic fundamentally disagrees with him and enters into a fight, during which he drops them, after which Eggman immediately picks them up and re-feeds the monster named Chaos, and now, he absorbed the power of the four Emeralds. As it turned out, Knuckles again deceived Eggman, saying that Sonic was also collecting pieces from the Master Emerald, thereby directing them against each other.

After trying to stop Chaos, Sonic watches with Tails and Knuckles as Eggman retreats to his flying fortress called Egg Carrier. Knuckles goes about his business, and Sonic, along with Tails, on the Tornado plane, begin to chase the departed Egg Carrier to stop Eggman. Everything goes badly: Egg Carrier opens fire on the plane and the team crashes. Sonic crashes onto the beach at Station Square and some time later, he discovers Amy Rose, who takes him to Twinkle Park. After a walk in the park, Amy is kidnapped by Eggman's robot and taken away with him, and Sonic goes to look for Amy all over the city.

As it turns out, the robot took Amy along with it to the Egg Carrier, and through Red Mountain, Sonic begins chasing the flying fortress. at the end of the journey, Tails picks up the hedgehog on a new plane, Tornado 2 and the heroes go on a second air chase, this time successfully. After landing, they are looking for Eggman, who specially paved the way to himself through the outer side of the base, the most dangerous. However, Sonic finds Amy, fights the E-100 Elite series robot, and again encounters Chaos, who has already absorbed six Emeralds. Upon landing, Sonic studies Chaos in the temple of the Mystical Ruins, after which he goes to the Eggman ground base, where the scientist himself retired. After defeating Robotnik, Sonic returns to the Mystic Ruins and celebrates with Tails.

In the final story, Sonic takes on a super form to defeat Perfect Chaos and gains the upper hand.

Sonic Adventure 2

At the very beginning of the Hero story in SA2, Sonic is arrested by government agents and taken to Prison Island, believing him to be the kidnapper of the Chaos Emerald, which was stolen not so long ago. Sonic manages to sneak out of the helicopter, but soon he meets the source of his problems. It was also a hedgehog who introduced himself as Shadow. He had a Chaos Emerald in his hands. Sonic was surprised that the hedgehog could use Chaos Control with only one Emerald. The black hedgehog moves away from the meeting point, and immediately Sonic is surrounded by G.U.N. soldiers.

Arrest Sonic

The next day, Sonic frees Amy, who has arrived on the island with Tails. Sonic escapes from the island and after a while, in the jungle, he again encounters Shadow. There is a fight, and Sonic accidentally overhears from the conversation between Shadow and Robotnik that there is a detonator on the island for 10 minutes, and after this time it will explode. Sonic manages to catch up with Tails and Amy, after which they are removed from the island.

At night, Dr. Robotnik informs the population of the planet that in 24 hours he is going to destroy the Earth if humanity does not surrender to his empire, and shows an example of what will happen to the Earth after destroying half of the moon. It shoots out a huge green beam that comes from some kind of space colony, hidden for a long time under the guise of a meteor.

Super Sonic and Super Shadow

Some time later, Sonic and Tails pick up Eggman's signal from their secret pyramid base in the president's car and travel there. There, in the pyramid, they meet with Eggman himself, who released his golem robot on them. Sonic fights him, and soon they will go on a rocket to the ARC, that same colony.

On the Ark, Eggman kidnaps Amy and demands to give him the last Emerald. Tails replaces the real Sonic with a fake one and sends him to the doctor. Robotnik guessed that the Emerald was fake, imprisoned the blue hedgehog in a capsule and dropped it from the colony. Sonic, who is in the capsule, manages to do Chaos Control and teleports out of it before it explodes.

In the end, a few minutes before the colony's cannon is fired, Sonic disables it.

In the final story, Sonic and Shadow take on superforms to defeat Finalhazard and save the Earth from certain doom.

Sonic Heroes

In Game Sonic Heroes Sonic is a speedy character and the leader of Team Sonic. According to the plot, Sonic receives a letter from "Eggman", in which he outlined his plan to take over the world. Sonic, along with Tails and Knuckles, set off on a journey to thwart their evil plans.

Shadow the Hedgehog (game)

In this game, Sonic plays passive role and only encourages Shadow to take the right path. Sonic is presented here as one of the many partners of the dark hedgehog and does not play a significant role in the plot.

Sonic the Hedgehog (game, 2006)

In this game, the hedgehog has its own storyline, along with two more stories.

The action begins with the Solar Festival of Soleanna, where the entire city, which is called Soleanna, meets the ruler of the city, Princess Elise. Not everything is as good as it seemed. Dr. Eggman's cars attack the city, and a squad of robots surrounds the princess, and soon the dock itself appears in front of her. He forcibly demanded to give the Chaos Emerald, which she had, but then Sonic enters into trouble, who saves the princess from under the guns of the robots and escapes from Robotnik's attack.

However, Eggman still overtakes Sonic on his ship and kidnaps her with the help of the Eggmobile. She, in turn, throws him the Chaos Emerald, which was with her. A little later, closer to the morning, Sonic meets Tails, who told about what happened. Together they go to Wave Ocean in pursuit of Egg Carrier (in the game, the ship is named exactly the same as in SA). In the end, the heroes get to the desert, in the ruins of which Sonic and Tails find the princess imprisoned in a dungeon, and try to rescue her. But on the way, Eggman appears, who sets his "pet", Egg Cerberus, on the heroes. They quickly deal with him, and leave the desert back to Soleanna, after splitting up: Sonic with Elise and Tails separately.

On the way to Soleanna, Elise tells Sonic a little story about what the Calamity Flame is and why a guy like Eggman needs it. Solaris is the god of Soleanna who could express his anger through the Flame of Calamity. 10 years ago, the city's scientists were working on this project, resulting in the death of Elise's father. However, she could not tell everything, as she did not remember much as a child.

When Sonic and Elise arrived in Soleanna, the hedgehog was attacked by a silver hedgehog who introduced himself as Silver. He called the hedgehog Iblis Trigger, and was going to destroy Sonic, motivating this by saving the future. Silver literally squeezed Sonic in a vice, and was ready to get even with him, when suddenly Amy appears between them, who blocks Sonic with herself, allowing him to leave. At this time, Eggman again kidnaps the princess, and Sonic rushes after him.

At the port of Soleanna's New City, Sonic and Tails meet Knuckles. Echidna says that he saw Eggman, and he asked to send a message to Sonic. It stated that Sonic could only get Elise if he brought the Chaos Emerald to his base in the White Acropolis. The three of them get to the base, and hand over the blue stone to Eggman, demanding that Elise be given to them. As it turned out, the Sonic team was transferred to the future, several hundred years ahead. The future was apocalyptic: destroyed buildings, monsters roaming everywhere, and lava everywhere. To the team's surprise, they meet Rouge and Shadow, who somehow end up in this time. They come to the decision to use Chaos Control to return to their normal time. They work together and set off on a quest. While inspecting buildings in the future, the characters overhear a conversation in one of the rooms. In the room were an unknown cat, Silver, and a dark hedgehog that looked a lot like Shadow. The heroes learn that this dark hedgehog tells Silver the reason for such a terrible future. He calls one day the Day of Calamity, the event during which Iblis was released and began to sow destruction on the world. He handed the purple Chaos Emerald to Silver so that he could see who needed to be destroyed. In it, the hedgehog saw a blue hedgehog, which, as he called it, is the Trigger of Iblis. An unknown dark hedgehog opens a portal and sends them back to the time that Iblis' Trigger was alive. After the disappearance of these characters, Sonic bursts into the room with Tails and Knuckles. The fox begins to check the data on the computer, and is horrified to notice that Elise has died on the Egg Carrier. Two days after the Sun Festival, Eggman's ship explodes, killing Elise with it.

Further, Sonic and the guys, along with Shadow and Rouge, meet again. It is revealed that Rouge has found a Chaos Emerald, and with it, the heroes explore the volcano in order to find a second one for a successful time travel. They find the Emerald, but things don't go as smoothly as they should. They fight with a huge flaming monster, and after that, the heroes go back in time, to their own time.

Sonic and Princess Elise

Team Sonic returns to the present, after which the hedgehog reads a newspaper with recent events and sets off in pursuit of Eggman's train, in which he is taking Elise. Sonic manages to save the princess, but after a while Silver pays a visit again, who is ready to deal with Sonic with even greater zeal. Luckily, at the right time, Shadow appears and distracts Silver, allowing Sonic to leave. At the same time, Eggman AGAIN kidnaps Elise. However, this time she decided to save herself, but at the same time relying on Sonic. She just jumped from the huge height where the Eggmobile was, and the hedgehog managed to catch her. A little later, they are given to the conversation, the princess talks about her family and the country she rules.

Later, Dr. Eggman strikes again. This time, he threatens to raze Soleanna to the ground, and asks the princess to surrender. Elise has no choice but to go to Eggman, because she, according to her, could not harm her people. Sonic again goes after Egg Carrier, in which Elise is located along with Eggman, but according to the law of the genre, not everything is so simple. Sonic is attacked by Eggman's robots, which are quite superior to the forces of the hedgehog, and even in quantity. But then Silver is announced, who helps Sonic and deals with the mechanics. He motivates this by a "change in circumstances": he also needs to save the princess. Together, they go to Kingdom Valley in pursuit.

But due to a strange coincidence, Eggman's ship crashes, resulting in the death of Eggman and Elise herself. Sonic falls to his knees in despair.
