The development thread is here. New versions of full tank trees of all nations

A newcomer to World of Tanks, having opened the research section in the hangar for the first time, will get lost in the endless rows of tanks. He will have a reasonable question: “Where to start?”. We will answer this question in this article.

What to download?

About 450 production and experimental vehicles from eight nations are represented in World of Tanks. USSR, Germany, USA, France, England, China, Japan, Czechoslovakia. Soon, the collection will be replenished with vehicles from Sweden and Poland. The time frame of WoT covers the period from the 20s to the end of the 60s of the XX century. All equipment is divided into 5 classes: heavy tanks, medium tanks, light tanks, anti-tank self-propelled guns (PT-ACS) and artillery (ACS). All of them are divided into 10 levels.

They rank combat vehicles in terms of strength, which, with rare exceptions, also corresponds to the time period when this or that machine was in service or the project was under development. As you might guess, the division into classes and levels builds "branches" of development, where the icing on the cake is the "top" - a level 10 tank. The first three nations that appeared in the game, the USSR and Germany from the release, and the USA a little later, have the most development branches. For three, this is more than 20 tops, the rest are content with fewer branches.

In World of Tanks, each vehicle has its own style of play. Conventionally, they can be divided into: tanks with armor and "cardboard" tanks without armor; small and "barn"; fast and slow; accurate and oblique; rapid-fire and with a large alpha strike (damage per shot). Also, tanks can have traditional reloading and the so-called drum loading, thanks to which you can fire several shells in a short time, but pay for it with a long reload.

Tanks with different styles games place different demands on the skill of the player. So, slow tanks with armor forgive the mistakes of their tankers, but a fast light tank or cardboard medium tank painfully punishes for sloppy play. To understand which tanks should not be researched ahead of time, let's try to divide all the vehicles in the game into the appropriate categories by class. Let's start with heavy tanks.

Heavy tanks

If you came to World of Tanks to dominate the battlefield and crush everyone with your steel tracks, then heavy tanks are your choice. They combine strong armor, powerful guns and are able to push through directions, "tanking" damage while less armored CTs come in from the flank and rear. But it's not all that simple. In WoT, there are TTs that do not fit the description above.

For example, the French AMX 50 100 and AMX 50b will give odds to many fast tanks in terms of dynamics and do not have armor. But they have a cannon with a drum for 6 and 4 shells, respectively. This is the choice of experienced players, they can show impressive results on these machines. Whereas a beginner who has opened AMX 50 100 may get disappointed after playing several unsuccessful fights. And the thing is that in the head of an inexperienced player the thought sits: “Hey, I have a fast tank, I need to go to that hill in the center and take it!”. This usually leads to unfortunate consequences.

More good example branches are not for beginners - the British top-end TT FV215b. The path to it is long and thorny - from level 5 to 7 you will have to roll almost the same Churchill with different guns and armor. At level 8, a deplorable, against the background of classmates, Caernarvon (don't break your tongue!) awaits with mediocre armor, dynamics and damage of 230 units per shot. And what does a player who opens a British level 10 TT get? And he gets the most comfortable gun among heavy classmates, good turret armor and slipper-like layout, which imposes its own difficulties on the game. Add to that a 76mm NLD and two HUGE tanks just behind the armor, which leads to fires two or three times per battle. Then you will understand why this tank is so disliked by beginners. But, players with experience, despite all the disadvantages of the car, use it in clan battles on the global map and are very pleased with it.

An ideal option for mastering the TT class is the Soviet and German branches of the IS-7 and E 100. The IS-7 is a legend of the World of Tanks, the longed-for dream of any tanker. It has an impenetrable turret, good armor, a 130 mm cannon and the famous Soviet "vertukhan" (the ability to hit on the move and without aiming). E 100 is 130 tons of gloomy German genius. It has good armor and 750 damage. If he does not stand in an open field, he is able to live for a long time and reflect a hail of shells that fly in his direction. On the way to both vehicles, you will have a pleasant game on such iconic tanks as KV-1, IS, IS-3, T-10, Tiger, Tiger 2 and E 75.

medium tanks

ST is a universal class in WoT. Favorite class of good players. They can deal damage, repel projectiles, perform reconnaissance and illumination, carry out raids on the rear, return and knock down the capture of the base, and some can do everything at once. Outstanding representatives are three twin brothers from the Soviet tech tree - T-62A, Object 140 and Object 430. An inexperienced player will not see a difference in the performance characteristics of these machines, although there is a difference. The T-62A has an impenetrable turret and better gun stabilization, while Ob. 140 slightly better UVN (vertical aiming angles) and driving dynamics. About. 430 has higher damage per minute. T-62A should be opened first, then Ob. 140.

German E 50 ausf. M and Chinese 121 good cars with armor and powerful guns. They can also be pumped instead of Soviet tanks, but the E 50 has a difficult branch, and it is very large, and self-propelled guns like to shoot at it. Chinese 121 is good for everyone, except for the UVN: and you can only shoot at the sky. The gun leans down only a couple of degrees.

Many will pay attention to the French ST Bat. - Chatillon 25t. He rightfully bears the title of one of the best ST tanks in the world. Speed, drum for 5 shells, universal love. But do not rush, because "batchat" is a very demanding fighting machine in terms of the ability to play. Inexperienced players, having opened "batchat", fights end ingloriously, which often causes a storm of curses from the allies. Fast Tank Syndrome in action. The branch up to it consists up to level 8 entirely of light tanks, which we will talk about below, which does not contribute to comfortable pumping. In general, we advise you not to take on the MT of France until you learn how to play the medium tank class. A similar situation with the "Czech" TVP T 50/51.

The Leopard 1, AMX 30 B, STB-1, M48A1 and Centurion Action X are among the undesirable for pumping in the first place. The first three have no armor, and the American and the British also have impressive sizes. All tanks, except for the M48A1, have complex upgrade paths. These machines are best left aside until you have some experience with the game.

Light tanks

By right it is the most difficult class of tanks in the game. In the "sand" most tanks are light, and therefore play fun and without problems. But, starting at level 5, they have an important role as the eyes of the team. Not all newcomers understand this and merge into a "rush in the center", depriving their team of "light". You should start pumping high-level LTs only when enough battles have been played and an understanding of the various game mechanics of the World of Tanks comes.

tank destroyer

Anti-tank self-propelled guns - snipers in the world of tanks. At high levels, they have the best weapons among other vehicle classes. Two subtypes of PTs can be distinguished: glass cannons and assault self-propelled guns.

Glass cannons are combat vehicles with accurate penetrating guns placed on the chassis, in which the armor will protect only from rain and wind. Typical representatives are the Waffentrager branch with Rhm.-Borsig Waffentrager, aka Borsch, and Grille 15. This type of AT relies on camouflage and its painfully hitting guns.

Assault anti-aircraft guns, in addition to powerful cannons, also have good armor, but they pay for this with slowness and the absence of a tower. Jagdpanzer E 100 and Т110Е3 can compete with heavy tanks at the front line. But players don't really like to climb forward on them, preferring to stand in a nearby bush with glass cannons.

In general, any branch of tank destroyers is friendly to beginners. The gameplay is simple and clear - stay in the bushes, shoot at the tanks. Except maybe Grille 15 due to the lack of armor, there are no particularly difficult branches, so you can download any of them. Moreover, at low and medium levels there are a lot of nice cars that you want to leave in the hangar, such as T67, M18 Hellcat, SU-100, ISU-152.

Art SAU

How many copies have been broken around the question of the need for Art SPG in battles. And while Wargaming thinks about what to do with it on its test servers, we will try to understand whether a beginner should start with "art" and which branch to explore first.

If you look impartially, you can understand why the art is so popular with the players. It allows you to deal damage with impunity without moving far from the base. With a successful hit, you can kill the enemy in one shot. It does not require strong tension and concentration. On the other hand, after several nerfs, the game on the art became very uncomfortable. Long reload, long mixing, huge dispersion. The gameplay on the self-propelled guns is reminiscent of roulette: you can avoid hitting a standing enemy for the whole battle and then send it to the ST or LT hangar, which rushes at full speed, not being reduced to the target at all.

As an introduction to the class, it will not be superfluous to play a self-propelled gun, but it is highly not recommended to download any of the branches to the end. Firstly, except for top-end self-propelled guns, passing vehicles, with rare exceptions, are very uncomfortable. Secondly, leveling is slow, you need to earn a lot of experience, but it doesn’t work out consistently. Thirdly, after researching level 10 art, it is very difficult to sit down and learn how to play normal tanks.

So where do you start?

Which branch to open first entirely depends on the player. Someone out of a sense of patriotism starts with the tanks of the USSR. Someone, being an ardent German, opens Maus and E-100. In this article, we have given only general information about the branches of development, which are difficult to master for beginners and do not forgive mistakes. Carefully approach the choice of the first branch. Perhaps you choose your favorite tank, on which you will bring terror and sow destruction in the camp of the enemy.

Players pay special attention to the Soviet branch Tanks World of Tanks of various types, because many choose this technique not only for the unique and enjoyable gameplay, but also for the historical attachment to this technique.

Almost all tanks of the Soviet Union have a low chance of engine fire, which greatly increases the survivability of these vehicles, and the variety of gameplay will allow you to choose the type of vehicle that will bring the player maximum pleasure.

The main task light tank- detection of the enemy and assistance to the team by transmitting intelligence on the movement of enemy forces.

This type of tanks has a rather complex gameplay, because all tanks that belong to this type have a relatively low margin of safety, lack of strong armor, and in most cases have a gun with low damage per shot.

But at the same time, players who choose to play on light Soviet tanks get excellent mobility, camouflage (which remains consistently high when moving and in a stationary vehicle), as well as an excellent vision indicator.

Light tanks of the Soviet research branch have excellent speed and power-to-weight ratios compared to similar vehicles from other nations. Most of the light tanks of the USSR have excellent camouflage, which, if played correctly, allows you to remain unnoticed and confidently transmit intelligence to allies throughout the battle.

With relatively low damage per shot, the guns of these tanks have high damage per minute, which is often decisive in a duel with enemy light tanks or when breaking through to artillery.

The Soviet medium tank research branch features a wide variety of vehicles that are quite different from the medium tanks of other nations.

The main tasks of the machines are flank breakthroughs in the rear of enemy forces and the application a large number damage to enemy vehicles.

But the uniqueness of Soviet medium vehicles lies in the fact that all high-tier tanks have excellent turret armor, which makes it possible to fight on equal terms with enemy heavy tanks, while hiding the vehicle's hull in the terrain.

Another important advantage is excellent guns that have excellent damage per minute. This fully compensates for the relatively low armor penetration parameter of the base projectile and allows you to confidently fight even against several vehicles at the same time.

The disadvantages of medium machines of the USSR include mediocre gun depression angles and mediocre maximum speed.

The most popular tanks of the Soviet Union are heavy tanks. These machines have so many advantages that they are ideal for those new to the game. At the same time, experienced players can show simply breathtaking results on this type of technique.

A feature of heavy tanks of the USSR is strong armor, relatively excellent mobility and good performance one-time damage to guns. Almost all heavy tanks in the Soviet branch World of Tanks are famous for their impenetrability and are capable of holding back entire directions alone.

High-level Soviet heavy tanks have simply impenetrable turret armor and, if played correctly, are capable of record-breaking blocked damage. Also, some vehicles have hull armor of the "Pike nose" type, which allows, with the correct positioning of the hull, to repel enemy shells, even of colossal calibers.

The disadvantage of this arrangement of armor is the impossibility of tightening the body of the machine due to a sharp drop in the value of the reduced armor. The guns of these vehicles are rather inaccurate, but this is more than compensated by the huge one-time damage, heavy tanks of level 7 can take a third of the strength of an enemy of their level in one shot, and such legendary vehicles as the KV-2 can send most targets to the hangar with one shot, especially the weak ones.

The role of tank destroyers on the battlefield is to destroy all enemy tanks in the player's field of vision. Tank destroyers of the Soviet Union are best suited for this task. Machines of this type have cannons with huge one-time damage and armor penetration.

The excellent camouflage of Soviet vehicles allows you to destroy enemy vehicles without the risk of being detected. Often the players Soviet tank destroyers remain undetected throughout the battle.

The disadvantages of this type of technology include a very poor review, but the correct selection additional equipment and a properly trained crew can make up for this deficiency.

Weak armor and, in some cases, lack of mobility also make this vehicle somewhat inconvenient, but all this is compensated by the pleasure of the weapon. It's so nice to fire at an enemy who has no idea where it's coming from.

Thanks to such features of Soviet technology, players often inflict mind-boggling amounts of damage.

Soviet self-propelled guns have a gameplay that is very different from other types of vehicles. They have the ability to fire at almost any point on the map, while remaining safe in the vicinity of their base.

The main projectiles of such equipment are high-explosive fragmentation, which have a high chance of incapacitating the internal modules and crew members of the enemy vehicle. The large calibers of the guns make it possible not only to disable several enemy vehicle modules, but also to hit several vehicles at once.

As the Soviet self-propelled guns branch is researched, the player will have the opportunity to play with vehicles with relatively good mobility, guns with high one-time damage, or guns with high damage per minute. The disadvantage of this technique is the almost complete lack of armor, which makes it vulnerable in close combat, poor gun accuracy and projectile speed.

Also a significant drawback is the lack of a good overview.

Premium vehicles in the World of Tanks game include a set of vehicles of different types, which have an increased profitability compared to similar tanks of the same levels.

The owners of such equipment almost never have problems with the in-game currency - silver. Also, such vehicles have an accelerated time for upgrading crew perks and do not need to retrain the crew when transferring it from a non-premium vehicle.

Soviet premium tanks are represented in almost all classes except for artillery. Such a variety of machines will greatly simplify the speed of development in the game. In addition, most of the Soviet premium tanks have a preferential level of battles, which will allow you to best reveal the vehicle in tank battles and earn a lot of silver from each battle.

Good day, dear guests, players, fans of the most popular toy ‘World of Tanks’.
Today I offer a small overview of all the branches of tanks in the game, their general idea, advice on which tanks to start with, and how to learn how to decide the outcome of the battle.

Let's start from overall picture: 8 nations are represented in the game (so far) and in most there are 5 types of military equipment, Lt ( Light Tank), ST (Medium Tank), Tt (Heavy Tank), Fri-SAU (Anti-tank Self-propelled Artillery Installation) and SAU (Self-propelled Artillery Installation).
Each of the tanks has its own characteristics, purpose, game tactics, and each has its own favorite class.

Lt is the essence of a firefly tank, it shines through the map for the whole team, makes it possible to shoot at them, detects the enemy's route, ambush places, and the like. But the most important of his tasks is to break through to the rear, drain the enemy sau (art) and return, inflicting a strong blow on the enemy (after all, the sau has a very important purpose)
St- this class is the most multifunctional, because some sts play the role of lt, others pt, the third even the role of tt, but their main goal is to help all other classes, cover lt, tt, quickly break into the flank, deal damage and retreat. I say right away this class is not for beginners, you need to understand it, because often st have the worst penetration and damage among classmates!
TT is the main trump card of the team - TT tasks are holding, a slow breakthrough of the flank, blocking damage with armor, covering allied lt, st, pt. TT is, on the one hand, the easiest class due to its great strength, armor, good guns (classic TT), but an experienced TT player is the most terrible enemy!

Pt - just like st - a multifunctional class, but their purpose is basically just damage, they are the main damage dealers of the team, pierce everything and everyone (well, this is ideally). I also advise beginners, but remember one thing - this is a weak class in terms of strength, and mainly in terms of armor, so they all have a hull merged with the tower - that's why we don't climb first, we don't play ourselves!
SAU (art) is perhaps the most difficult class, the reason for this is a completely different control, the huge influence of the VBR (great Belarusian random) and often art itself is not worth anything.
I advise you to master only experienced players, or at least if you feel the full power of the game!

Now I will briefly talk about each nation.
If you look at the general branch of research, the British are the first to go: this is a complex nation, since each class is multifunctional (that is, it is difficult to find an LT as a firefly, and not a half st (tt) heavy as a heavy (and not a half st (pt)) , but the British are still famous for their weak damage but penetrating guns (that is, hole punchers) (lt, st, pt, tt), arts also have weak guns and penetration at the beginning
The armor is strong (pt, tt) but without special declination angles. The branch of light tanks ends at level 5... That is, summing up the nation is not for beginners, you need experience, knowledge and understanding of both the game and classes.

Next come the French, if you look at it this way, this is the opposite of Britain - they have strong damage weapons, drums, but in many techniques there is no sensible armor.
Lt is like Lt here (some are faster, some are slower, but after 6 to 8 all Lt are drummers - that is, semi-st tactics are already on).
St is not enough, they are at the beginning and at the end of the development branches, but still without armor, but with good speed and guns.
Tt- the same st only bigger and stronger, there is almost no armor.
Fri is a thunderstorm of the nation, the best Fri in the game because they have everything (armor, angles, excellent and terrible weapons, speed, agility...)
And arts are considered one of the weakest in terms of damage (after lvl 7), but the most terrible because of speed, accuracy and their native projectile flight path.
As a result, I can advise beginners to class fri and lt, and the rest when you already gain experience).

Next comes Czechoslovakia - this is the new and crudest branch of tanks (light ones up to 3 tons, medium ones from 4 to 10) - there is no armor, there are almost no corners, everything that flies into them - everything enters and damages, at first there are generally no guns ... In As a result, I advise you to download the last branch!

The Germans are next, this is one of the 3 "nations - giants" in the world of tanks, since all classes end (8 ur light, and 10 others) and start as expected (from 1-4 ur) a huge variety. But the main "motto" of the Germans is with us the best guns in Game! The Germans are famous for their excellent guns in terms of accuracy, penetration, and later in damage, but in armor, the Germans are weak up to 8-9 ut (tt, pt) and in general they also have weak armor and corners.
Lt is average in speed, fri is damage, there are 2 types of branches (plywood and armor), many transitions between classes, arts are considered the most terrible (7-10 ur (another nickname is coffin carts)).
In general, the nation is pleasant, but for those who have learned to hold back projectiles or precisely to sew in the bushes.

Next comes the second nation - the giant Soviet Union, our past.
The nation is famous for armored Bands, because with excellent armor, because with corners - 2 parallel branches, damage points, fast lt, excellent st (they are considered the best among all nations - because they have everything you need for st), and scary but the most crooked ( terribly inaccurate, except for a few copies) art.
I highly recommend this nation to any novice player!

Now let's get back to China - in fact, China is licked tanks of the USSR and some specimens from America and Japan.
All lt, st, tt from lvl 6-8 differ only in guns, hull, armor, and mass (and therefore speed).
In appearance, they are almost identical - a round ricochet tower, good angles of the forehead and sides.
I can advise you to download after the advice, but remember, China has a terribly lack of penetration for some important tanks up to lvl 7!

Let's go further - the 3rd giant nation America.
This nation is famous for the best Fri among all, there are 2 branches, a good choice, damage arts, although similar to the tips - oblique, excellent LT (from lvl 6 parallel to the head bar French) there is also a huge choice between 2 branches of LT, interesting TTs (they are considered the best towers in the game (from level 7 impenetrable by peers in the forehead), st many functional, although not as interesting as the Germans or the Soviets.
As a result, I will advise the PT-nis branch from T 40 to T 25 AT to any novice player)).

And the last branch (for now) Japan.
This is a rather strange branch, with strange tanks: st plywood is full, but they have weapons exactly like the Germans, tanks from lvl 6 are hard to break through by peers, have terrible weapons, but the sides are full of cardboard, they are sewn by everyone.
The nation is not for the faint of heart and for experienced players!

That's it with nations, until wargaming has created more, let's talk about the choice for beginners:
For all beginners, there are 2 options - for going through sweat and blood along the line Soviet bands, and then the game will fly in your hands, if you don’t give up (I started it myself and I’m glad about it) then walk around America, the French, if you are interested in art, start only with the French (the chance to get many times higher in the tank) and it’s better to switch from Lt 6 ur (12 t) there are already interesting arts, because you can start from ur 2))
The second option is easier, but as a result there is little experience, no hard core and pleasure (in my understanding) America, the French or Germans, but I say right away that after them it will be very uncomfortable to drive vehicles that have little penetration, because they are slow ...

In general, I’ll tell you one thing - a technique is a technique, but the battle is decided by the player and the WBR, so get up stronger than the WBR and decide for yourself the outcome of any battle!
Good luck to you!…

World of Tanks game is the most popular online game Europe. This guide was written for her novice players and contains tips on leveling up Soviet branches of technology, as well as recommendations on how to fight for them.

General about Soviet technology.

It's no secret that the USSR vehicles are the most popular on the Russian game server, and it's clear why =)) But this is not the only reason. The developers of the game really made the tanks of the USSR really strong, and better than their German and American counterparts. A detailed comparison of the best technique will be below.

Beginner's set.

The Beginner's Pack is a small package of files that any beginner player should have - they make the game much easier and more convenient. All of the following files are installed by replacing the files in the game folder.

Attention! - This method is officially allowed by the game developers.

Soviet Technique

Armed with the necessary software, you can begin to directly familiarize yourself with Soviet technology. We will consider 4 main branches: the Heavy Tanks (TT) branch, the Medium Tanks (ST) branch, the Tank Destroyers (PT) branch and the SPG (artillery) branch.

General scheme of branches (click on the picture to enlarge)

A branch of Soviet heavy tanks.

FROM "MS-1" on "T-28" we accumulate game experience, learn to shoot, memorize maps and the most convenient places for defense / attack. It is worth noting here that for this period you can do without a premium account. But starting with a tank of level 5 and above, you need to take a premium. It is also worth noting that each time you purchase a new tank, you should transfer and retrain its crew in order to upgrade the crew's skills. The crew that has completed at least 2-3 thousand battles will have maximum skills, and the commander will have highest rank in the game for the tanker of the USSR - "Senior Lieutenant".

"KV"- Tier 5 tank of the USSR TT branch. This tank will be remembered for a long time. It is from him, armored and clumsy, that we begin to learn how to play for TT. If before there was no point in hiding behind houses, now you will be in dire need of it. When playing for him, you remember that this tank is bad in attack. very slow and in open areas easy prey for artillery, and in close combat easy prey for CTs that will pick at your stern (rear of the tank) while you turn the hull and turret. And not only STs, but also light tanks (LT) with a good gun and nimble antitanks. Try to keep your distance from the enemy. Learn to be patient and sit on the defensive and anyone who jumps into your line of fire will very quickly turn into a pile of burning metal!

About the KV and about any tank of level 5, I also note that it is very easy to earn credits on them. And it's not that shells and repairs cost little. If you go to http://www.wotdb.ru/ and right-click on "HF", you can see the 4th tab "Advanced", which, by the way, is not in the game. It has an indicator "Credit Ratio" which is equal to 0.99. This means that you get 99% of the total indicator for a battle on the "KV". For example, for "MS-1" this coefficient is 0.69. All levels have a different coefficient, but for tanks of level 5 it is the highest. To feel the difference, here is a summary of the USSR TT branch:

Tank / Credit Ratio
1ur. MS-1 / 0.69
2ur. "T-26" / 0.69
Level 3 "T-46" / 0.69
4ur. "T-28" / 0.86
Level 5 "KV" / 0.99
6ur. "KV-3" / 0.76
7ur. "IS" / 0.76
8ur. "IS-3" / 0.69
9ur. "IS-4" / 0.68
10ur. "IS-7" / 0.70

(This coefficient is even higher for tanks for gold).

Thus, you can thoroughly linger on "KV" in order to earn as many credits as possible (you can earn 1kk of credit per day with a premium). Moreover, while you are earning, you will be able to open not only all the improvements and make the KV from the stock state (a tank in the native store equipment) to the top (when all the best equipment has been studied and installed), but also open the next KV-3 tank , as well as, if desired, gain experience on the S-51 and KV-1s.

Also, take this opportunity to purchase non-removable equipment for your main tank. It is expensive, but it was bought once and will remain with your main tank forever. Of the non-removable equipment, the best:

1) Large caliber gun rammer - increases reload speed by 10%
2) Reinforced aiming drives - increase weapon aiming speed by 10%
3) Large anti-fragmentation lining - reduces damage by 15% from explosions (for example, when an artillery shell explodes nearby) and rams.

For TT this is the best set. When changing the main tank, they can be dismantled for 10 gold, which is equal to 1.1 rubles, which, in fact, is not money =))
Also, starting from the next tank, we accumulate "Free experience" and do not spend it on various improvements. This experience will be used to upgrade the branch of Soviet tank destroyers.

"KV-3"- Tier 6 tank of the USSR TT branch. A worthy heir to the KV tank. You will have more HP, and in top condition you will have a turret with 130mm frontal armor. Thus, hiding behind a low barrier, you can fire to kill without fear that any of the opponents below level 5 will be able to break through you.

"IS"- tank of the 7th level of the TT branch of the USSR. Compared to the KV-3, you will feel a loss. the tower will become less durable, but this is more than compensated by its maneuverability. Also, compared to other Tier 7 tanks, the "IS" will dominate significantly. It is also worth noting here that shells will cost from 1k credits per shot, and the game without a premium account will be at a loss. This is the cunning calculation of the game developers so that no one can reach a level 10 tank without buying a premium account.

"IS-3"- tank of the 8th level of the TT branch of the USSR. This is a wonderful tank. By switching to it, you will begin to feel more confident. compared to the IS, you will again have a strong forehead near the tower, but if the KV-3’s forehead could be penetrated by opponents above level 6, then the forehead of the IS-3 will be pierced only by tanks of levels 9-10 with top guns. It opens completely new opportunity, which previously could not be used: On the "IS-3" you go to the enemy in the forehead to the ram, so that you stand face to face, while not letting the enemy move back so that the distance between you does not increase. If the enemy is stupid, he will try to break through the forehead of the tower for you. when the tanks stand up, the sight cannot be lowered head-on below the enemy's tower. If the enemy is below level 9 and shoots you at the tower, he will not break through it. And as soon as he makes his shot, you move back on the IS-3 so that the front body of the enemy is visible in the sight, and inflict damage on him, then again press the enemy in the forehead. You repeat the procedure until the enemy is completely destroyed, while if the enemy is squeezed, for example, between the city ruins, then he will not even have a chance to escape. With this tactic, you can defeat many opponents, and even level 9 tanks, without losing HP. About the "IS-3" I will also say that this is a breakthrough tank. Its main task is surprise attacks from the flank. The later the enemy detects you, the more effective your attack will be. For direct attacks, the IS-3 is still rather weak. This initiative will still belong to tier 9 and 10 tanks.

"IS-4"- tank of the 9th level of the TT branch of the USSR. A decent example of a tier 9 tank. In the stock state, it will seem extremely slow and not agile (I immediately recall the clumsy "KV"). But in top condition, this is an excellent vehicle with a high armor rate (the IS-4 has more armor than the IS-7). The IS-4 also has a relatively slow speed, which is why it is often compared to the German Maus. Moreover, in one of the future updates, they want to make the IS-4 a tier 10 tank. That is why even now many people do not even switch to IS-7, but remain to play on IS-4. Another important factor here is that the repair of the IS-4 costs 17k credits, and the repair of the IS-7 costs 30k credits. That is, if it is still possible to earn money on the IS-4, then on the IS-7 it will no longer work even with a premium account.

"IS-7"- Tier 10 tank of the USSR TT branch. The strongest heavy tank presented for the side of the USSR. As already mentioned, he has less armor than the IS-4. But this figure is insignificant. But his speed and maneuverability are head and shoulders above. So If the "IS-4" accelerates to a maximum of 35 km per hour, then the "IS-7" can accelerate to 50 km per hour. By the way, this is the highest speed among all Soviet TTs. And that will save him. Given the importance of the IS-7 on the battlefield, it will always be the main target of enemy artillery. And good speed will be a tangible salvation.

Comparisons:

"IS-7" vs "Maus"
In the open field, the Mouse will be easy prey for the IS-7. they pierce each other in the same way, but only the IS-7 has high maneuverability. Mouse is good against low-level opponents who are not able to break through it, but not against the IS-7, and even more so not against the American T30, which will not only pierce Mouse with a bang but also deal higher damage.

"IS-7" vs "E-100"
"E-100" - new german tank Level 10 Has less HP and armor than Mouse, but his speed is higher. In a duel with the IS-7 will have an equal chance of winning.

"IS-7" vs "T30"
In this battle, the T30 will have an advantage. it has higher damage. But nevertheless, it is significantly inferior to the IS-7 in terms of armor, which makes it an easy prey for lower-level opponents, so the IS-7 is preferred in this comparison.

A branch of Soviet tank destroyers.

FROM "AT-1" on "SU-85" we level only on the free experience accumulated during the period of leveling on the TT and immediately get on the SU-85.

Starting from the "SU-85" we ride up to ISU-152. When playing as these vehicles, remember that Soviet ATs have the weakest armor, which makes them easy prey for any enemy, but at the same time the best gun which allows them to inflict not weak damage to the enemy. So it is worth remembering that Soviet anti-tank guns have the highest stealth rate in motion and in a standing position.

Anti-tank Stealth Ratio [Moving/Standing]
2ur. "AT-1" - 0.35/0.55
Level 3 "SU-76" - 0.38/0.53
4ur. "SU-85B" - 0.4 / 0.5
Level 5 "SU-85" - 0.2 / 0.6
6ur. "SU-100" - 0.2 / 0.6
7ur. "SU-152" - 0.1/0.37
8ur. ISU-152 - 0.1/0.37
9ur. "Ob.704" - 0.2/0.3

That is, playing as Soviet anti-tank units, you should acquire a camouflage net that will reduce the visibility of the tank by another 25% and you will become invisible even if the enemy is at a distance of 20 meters from you. From which it follows that your main role will be ambushes and attacks from the bushes at long distances. Such a game will be for all Soviet PTs up to the ISU-152, and it will not change much when you move from car to car. But everything will change when you get to Ob.704...

"Ob.704"- Tier 9 tank destroyers of the Soviet branch of the tank destroyer. Possesses one of the strongest guns in the game. The damage from its shells is 2 times higher than that of any tank of level 9 and 1.5 times more than that of tanks of level 10. 2 of his shots are enough to kill the IS-4. 1 shot is enough to send any enemy of level 6 and below to the dump. But high damage isn't everything. At first glance, it may seem that Ob.704 has too little armor (frontal armor of Ob.704 = 120 mm), but in fact it is enough. The fact is that "Ob.704" has a rational angle of inclination of the frontal armor that ricochets most enemy shells. And the armor of "Jagdtiger" and "T95" can be penetrated by knowing the weak points (for this you need to use the skins of penetration, which were mentioned at the very beginning of the guide). It is also worth noting that "Ob.704" will be more maneuverable than "Jagdtiger" and much more maneuverable than "T95" whose maximum speed is 13 km per hour, (slower than the Mouse) while Ob.704 has a maximum speed of 37 km per hour. Thus, with an equal amount of hp and with an equal penetration rate of each other, it turns out that Ob.704 has the highest damage and the highest maneuverability - which makes it not only the best anti-tank gun in the game, but also one of best tanks Level 9

A branch of Soviet medium tanks.

This branch can be downloaded in two ways:
1) Directly through "BT-2"
2) Bypassing through "KV"

Personally, I recommend through "KV" because. as already mentioned earlier, earnings are going very well on KV. In addition, it will already be top-end, which will make the game even easier.
But if you want to download a direct branch of Soviet medium tanks, then it is worth noting that the game for them will be interesting and different from driving a TT.

"BT-2" , "BT-7" and "A-20" you will like them for their speed. The main thing here is to watch where you are going and not who you are shooting at. After all, if you crash into an obstacle, they will immediately bite you. In order to both roll and shoot, it is enough to attach the sight to the enemy by right-clicking on it, and constantly press fire while not stopping to follow the road. Here the software that was posted earlier will help us. Having moved the map to the skies, we can see where to go and where to shoot, and where the opponents are, and how to maneuver so as to remain inaccessible to enemy fire. That is, the task will be greatly simplified. It is also worth remembering one rule of the game for the "A-20" when you get into battles against opponents that are head and shoulders above you. The A-20, like the German Leopard, are light-carrying tanks. That is, intelligence that detects enemies. Many novice players make the mistake of thinking that they can do something to help by being in the rear and hiding behind obstacles playing for fireflies. This is a gross mistake. The task of fireflies is one - to shine. As the battle begins, immediately drive to the enemy's base to discover as many enemies as possible. And it doesn't even matter that you are immediately killed. The mechanics of the game is such that experience and credit are given to everyone not only for the damage done and kills, but also for those who first discover enemy tanks. Thus, by spotting more than 9 opponents, you will not only receive the Scout medal, but also get a lot of experience and credits - by the way, a very good income in just 1 minute of the battle. Difficulties will begin with the T-34 ...

"T-34"- tank of the 5th level of the ST branch of the USSR. Unfortunately, the legendary tank is not shown in the game. in the best way. For most opponents, you will be easy prey. Actually, for this reason, I recommend downloading the ST branch through "KV". But as soon as you switch to the T-34-85, it will become much easier.

"T-34-85"- tank of the 6th level of the ST branch of the USSR. Unlike its level 5 counterpart, it has significantly higher damage. Properly maneuvering, you can remain inaccessible to enemy attacks. Actually, on the T-34-85 you will learn the basics of playing for ST and this style will continue until the T-54

"KV-1s"- Tier 6 tank of the USSR TT branch. If you still decide to download the ST branch through the "KV" then you will like this tank. It will surpass the "T-34-85" in armor, which will be rare, but all the more dumb to save, despite the fact that the speed is not much less.

"KV-13"- tank of the 7th level of the ST branch of the USSR. The final transformation of the KV into a medium tank. And although after it you will have to spend a little more time to transfer to another ST 7 level "T-43", it will be worth it. the armor of the KV-13 essentially remained the same as that of the KV, and the speed was a cut above.

"T-43"- tank of the 7th level of the ST branch of the USSR. Perhaps, this tank will seem terrible to many. Painfully lacking armor. Any opponent will punch you, and the game will be extremely difficult. Of course, a new powerful gun will ease the situation, but nevertheless, while the quality is on. to "T-44" will be one of the most difficult.

"T-44"- tank of the 8th level of the ST branch of the USSR. After the T-43, it will seem to you a very good car. The main thing to remember. STs drive in a small pack of 3-4 cars. They are also called "Wolf Pack". Such a flock can easily destroy any TT without loss or damage. Pack tactics are simple. While the first one distracts the enemy’s attention to himself (the enemy’s muzzle should look in the direction of the distracting one), the rest are picking the back side of the enemy’s tower (by the way, many tanks have an ammunition rack there). If the enemy starts to turn the muzzle in the direction of those picking it, the one who distracted it will immediately begin to beat. This is the main combat tactic of ST. Therefore, you should make loyal friends and, together with them in a platoon, coordinating your actions through voice communication, go on a steel hunt!

"T-54"- tank of the 9th level of the ST branch of the USSR. As soon as you transfer to this tank from the T-44, the game will go into a real pleasure! "T-54" will mark the crown of ST Soviet tanks in the game. It is fast maneuverable, and the rational slope of the armor makes it not yet penetrated. The main thing to remember is the rule: 1 is not a warrior in the field. You only need to ride the T-54 wolf pack with faithful associates. It is also worth noting that the T-54 is not only the best Soviet CT, but also the best CT in the entire game. You can verify this by comparing the main characteristics of ST 9 level of different nations. The German E-50 will be a little faster than the T-54, but it has a much slower turn rate, making the T-54 much more manoeuvrable. In addition, it is much larger than the T-54, which makes it an easy target, but about the fact that the E-50 has weaker damage, it finally puts an end to the dispute. Comparing the T-54 with the American Patton, one can only note that the Patton is even less maneuverable than the T-54, and maneuverability is the main factor in comparing the ST. Therefore, the verdict is simple - the best CT in the game is the T-54.

Branch Soviet artillery.

A branch of Soviet artillery can be pumped either directly, or again through the "KV". If we take the branch of the Soviet artillery, then it is worth noting that the first Soviet self-propelled guns will be relatively fast-firing (up to 9 rounds per minute on average), but towards the end, the shots will become less and less frequent. But the damage will increase significantly.

General recommendations for all self-propelled guns: Your task on the battlefield is to take a rear position in order to reach the largest part of the map. It is worth noting that many people make the mistake of not following where your allies will go. You need to take a position in that rear part where more allies went to the front line so that it doesn’t work out so that you go where you want and are left alone without forward cover. Having taken a position, remember the same - your goal is the strongest enemy tanks. Be patient, don't waste time reloading on small things. Wait for the main tanks of the enemy to appear and strike at them. A few direct hits on them and you will ensure your team wins.

Directly on specific self-propelled guns, I will note: the first 4 self-propelled guns with "SU-18" on "SU-8" will have a range that does not cover the entire map. But already with level 6 self-propelled guns "SU-14" and "S-51" you can cover the entire map. Actually, this is where the differences between the ACS end. "Ob.212" and "Ob.261" will differ from their predecessors in their weapon aiming speed, rate of fire, damage and amount of HP. But this does not greatly affect. the task of artillery from a safe distance is to fire at the enemy and hit every time. Such indicators as armor, damage, maneuverability do not matter in comparison with self-propelled guns. in close combat, they do not participate by definition. Therefore, it is impossible to determine which of the tier 8 self-propelled guns is the best, by analogy with tanks of other types.

Outcome:

So in the veteran's hangar World games of Tanks you will be able to see all the top Soviet vehicles: "IS-7", "Ob.704", "T-54" and "Ob.261" and "KV" with "Leopard" on which you can earn credits very well . =))

Last year, WG announced that two branches of development are expected to appear in the game: Poland and Italy. The appearance on the test servers of "Progetto" M35 mod 46 showed that the first will be the "Italians", with whom we propose to get acquainted in more detail.

When will the Italian branch be added?

However, the main feature awaits players at level 8. Starting with this vehicle and up to the TOP of the branch, tanks are equipped with fundamentally new weapons that were not in the game. Drum guns with an automatic projectile rammer will be installed here: after a shot, the barrel begins to load the missing projectile, which generally ensures continuous firing.

History of Italian tanks

In general, Italian tanks clearly demonstrate the real evolution of this industry, where three key stages can be distinguished:

  1. Without their own machines and developments, Italian engineers plagiarized, copying the main units of French tanks, the leader in tank building during the First World War. Unlike the prototypes, the Italian armored vehicles featured different-caliber weapons and lighter armor.
  2. During the Second World War, the tone of the tank industry in Europe was set by Germany, which literally crushed opponents heavy tanks. Italy flexibly rebuilt under new concept, but could not produce heavy equipment, focusing on medium tanks.
  3. In the post-war years, another reform took place: Europe focused on mobile equipment with a high potential for firepower, putting the mobility of vehicles above armor. Again, the Italians had to adapt to a new direction.

Overview of tanks 1-7 levels

An interesting point here is the presence of two tanks of the 2nd level at once:

  • M14/41.
  • L6/40.

This is not done by chance. Both vehicles are interesting in their own way and left an indelible mark on the development of Italian tank building. Therefore, the developers give players a chance to try the combat potential of each vehicle. The M14/41 is a classic slow mover, but it more than makes up for its slowness with its high firepower. A 47 mm gun is installed here, which will quickly explain to opponents who is in charge on the battlefield.

The L6/40 is equipped with a 20 mm tank machine gun and, due to its lightweight design, has excellent speed characteristics, which implies diametrically opposed combat tactics.

R.43bis - Level 6 MT
  • P26/40 is a tier 4 medium tank.
  • R.43 - takes an honorable fifth position.
  • R.43 bis - MT level 6.
  • R.43 ter is a transitional “seven” that separates low-level vehicles from the top-end vehicles of the branch.

Each of these tanks is individual and is part of military history. Therefore, even if they are not suitable in terms of performance characteristics, the machines must be tried. Moreover, the final representatives of this branch are a real highlight, which has long been expected in the game.

What is a reloading system?

Guns with such a mechanism are installed on Italian tanks in World of Tanks starting from level 8, and not only new principle firing, but also change the gameplay in general. In fact, players are offered a combination of conventional and cluster weapons, providing maximum variability in randomness.

Having made the first shot, the system automatically compensates for the lack of ammunition by loading a new projectile. It is noteworthy that the loading time is decreasing: the first shell is loaded the longest, for subsequent ones the speed increases. If the player interrupts this process with a shot, the countdown starts again.

The beauty of this loading method lies in its unpredictability. An Italian tank can fire single shells, and the enemy will not be able to guess at what stage the cassette is loaded. At the same time, having correctly calculated his capabilities, the “Italian” will be able to discharge the entire drum, taking the remaining margin of safety from the enemy and leaving for a full cooldown. Definitely, the new way of firing will take some getting used to, but WG specialists are confident that such weapons will quickly find their audience.

Let's get acquainted in detail with the crown of evolution Italian tanks in Game.

P.44 Pantera - 8th position

This is the first representative of the Italian tanks in the World of Tanks, equipped with an innovative drum loading system. According to their tactical and technical characteristics, "Panthers" are considered excellent machines. This Italian project was developed during World War II, where Germany and Italy were allies.

The game model copies the Leopard in terms of external contours and silhouette, and is also equipped with a drum gun with a projectile reloading mechanism. A gun with a caliber of 105 mm is installed here, which allows you to prepare for the transition to the TOP branch. "Nine" will be able to demonstrate itself in close combat and at medium distances, but weak armor suggests a cautious game tactics.

Progetto M40 mod. 65 - TOP

The tank has a rather interesting background, and the development of the project began in 1969, after an Italian delegation visited the exhibition military equipment in Germany. The purpose of the visit was to purchase Leopard tanks, but some representatives of the embassy spoke negatively about the acquisition of export models.

As a result, Italian engineers found themselves in their usual role: the development of their own project began, using the experience of tank building in the USSR and Great Britain. The work was curtailed at the stage of drawings.

Taking this as a basis, the developers have embodied in the game Progetto M40 mod. 65 tank, which has excellent dynamics and weak security. The machine is able to occupy key positions on the map and shoot damage, but in direct confrontation it clearly loses to classmates in terms of armor thickness.
