Training and exams

After passing the examination with specialists such as an ophthalmologist and an otolaryngologist, you will have to put a mark with a psychiatrist and narcologist. Installing a safe

According to the law, rifled weapons can only be issued by those who have a smoothbore tenure of 5 years, that is, in order to hunt with a rifle, you must have some experience behind you.

If you decide to apply in the traditional way, you must come to the permit department along with the documents collected from the list. There you write an application, give documents and wait for a decision. If denied, you will be notified. By the way, the notification will be received in case of consideration of the application. The above method of filing an application has gradually become obsolete. A more popular way is to contact the MFC. Finally, the third way will allow you not to leave the house at all. The application can be made on the portal of public services. All documents in scanned form are attached to special form. • a copy of the technical passport for the gun.

Where and how is the permit issued?

Licenses for the purchase and possession of weapons are issued special units Ministry of Internal Affairs - departments of licensing and permitting work (LRR). 1. medical certificates from a psychologist and a neurologist;
2. statement;

Obtaining a permit for hunting weapons: what needs to be done before submitting documents?

Permit renewal

Passing a medical examination

A license to purchase weapons requires passing a medical examination and issuing a certificate in the form 046-1.

The certificate received will be valid for six months. During this time, you should have time to submit an application to the LRO, otherwise it will lose its validity and the medical examination will have to be repeated.

The necessary examinations can be done in a public medical institution or in a private clinic licensed to provide such services. In this case, all expenses will have to be paid from their own funds.

Checking the precinct

To get their opinion, you need to undergo chemical and toxicological studies for the presence (absence) of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their metabolites in the human body. You also need to visit an ophthalmologist.

With the following diseases and conditions, a citizen will be denied a medical certificate for weapons:

Drug addiction, alcoholism, substance abuse;

Epilepsy;

Absence of 3 or more fingers on at least one of the hands (or index and thumb);

Lack of visual function or mean less than 50% in both eyes.

In the case of a successful medical examination, a note is made on the form about the relative suitability of a person to carry a weapon.

The final certificate can be obtained from the therapist at the clinic. It is important to note that a new medical certificate for weapons is now being issued in the form 002-O / y (previously 046-1). Its validity period is 1 year. During this time, you must complete training in weapons skills.

Training in the initial skills of owning weapons is carried out in specialized educational institutions (schools or shooting clubs).

To get trained, you need to choose a shooting range with suitable conditions (schedule, cost, etc.). Training will cost about 5000 rubles.

At the end, you need to pass a test, which consists of 10 questions on knowledge of the law "On weapons" (you can only make one mistake), and a practical part.

When extending a permit for civilian weapons once every five years, a citizen must also receive a credit for knowledge of the rules proper handling with weapon. This can be done at the educational institution where the diploma of initial education was issued.

In 2019, the law “On weapons” was amended, according to which citizens of the Russian Federation who have a permit for rifled weapons are required to take a course on the safe equipment of cartridges.

Previously, it was possible to independently equip cartridges only for hunting smooth-bore weapons.
