"What is profanity?"

1. Opening remarks.

foul language- this is a speech filled with indecent expressions, obscene words, abuse. This phenomenon has many definitions: obscene language, unprintable expressions, swearing, obscene language, vocabulary of the “corporal bottom”, etc. But since ancient times, swearing in the Russian people has been called foul language, from the word “filth”.

According to V. Dahl's dictionary, “foulness is an abomination, disgusting, dirty trick, everything vile, disgusting, disgusting, indecent, that disgusts carnally and spiritually; impurity, dirt and rot, decay, carrion, eruptions, feces; stench, stench; indecency, debauchery, moral corruption; everything ungodly."

What is foul language - a vice or a disease? Shame or national pride? “Great and mighty is the Russian language,” we read in books. And what kind of "literary" speech do we hear around: on the street, at school, in an apartment, from TV screens?

The phenomenon of foul language like no other characterizes the flagrant moral degradation of our society. If earlier swearing was mainly the specific language of criminals, drunkards and other degraded persons, now everything has changed radically. Young people swear freely in the presence of girls, and this does not offend them at all. And in purely girlish companies, the use of unprintable words has become commonplace. Foul language has embraced almost all ages.

2. The history of the origin of foul language.

The history of the origin of the mat goes back thousands of years, to distant pagan antiquity. In the days of paganism, only a priest had the right to pronounce these words-spells at holidays, when the conception of the existing world was imitated. And it never occurred to a single person to utter these words mentally or aloud. Then people knew what powerful energy these words were endowed with, what danger they carried if they were used unnecessarily. Bad words were included in spells addressed to pagan deities, and in pagan times a fertility cult was widespread, so all bad words are associated with the sexual sphere. Thus, the so-called mate is the language of communication with demons. Our ancestors uttered these words, calling on the help of the demons of evil. Witches and sorceresses used foul language in their slander, sending a curse. It is with this that the mechanism of the influence of foul language on a person is connected. The mat awakens in his subconsciousness the "psychoviruses" that he inherited along with the gene memory. Using the mat in conversation with friends, relatives, modern people, without suspecting it, perform a secret ritual, invoking evil day after day, year after year, on their heads and on the heads of their loved ones. The number of swear words turns into quality. At first, people have minor troubles, then major ones, then health problems arise, and, finally, life itself breaks down.

We are responsible for every idle word, especially the bad one. Nothing passes without a trace, and by insulting the mother of another person, sending curses to him, we thereby bring trouble on ourselves. Let us recall the words of St. John Chrysostom: "Whoever is chosen obscenely, exposes himself to a curse on that day."

It is a misconception that the generally accepted opinion is that mat is a Slavic tradition. Foul language in Russia until about the middle of the 19th century was not only not common even in the countryside, but was also a criminal offense. Later, the foul-mouthed person was publicly flogged.

During the time of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich Romanov, it was simply impossible to hear swearing on the street. And this is explained not only by the modesty and delicacy of our ancestors, but also by the policy pursued by the state. According to the Council Code, for the use of obscene words, severe punishment was imposed - up to the death penalty.

In the decree of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich of 1648, the inadmissibility of foul language in wedding ceremonies is emphasized: so that “demonic songs should not be sung at marriages and no shameful words should be spoken.” It also mentions Christmas swearing: “And on the eve of the Nativity of Christ and Basil’s Day and Theophany ... so that they don’t sing the song of demons, swearing and scolding all kinds of indecent barking.” It was believed that a swear word offended, firstly, the Mother of God, and secondly, own mother man and, finally, mother earth.

There was an idea that swearing was punished by natural disasters, misfortunes and diseases. Even under Tsars Mikhail Fedorovich and Alexei Mikhailovich, foul language was punished with rods in the streets.

Under Peter I, the book "Youth Honest Mirror" was published, where it was written that decent behavior of people can be recognized only with complete abstinence from swearing.

3. What are the reasons for a person to use foul language?

The reasons:

poor education, low level of culture, lack of vocabulary, inability to speak differently;

the negative influence of others and the inability to resist it;

malice, anger, hatred, inappropriate behavior, aggression;

striving to be a leader, demonstrating belonging to “their own”;

bad temper, bad habits;

disrespect, humiliation;

lack of internal self-control;

for emotional release in difficult situations;

misinterpretation of the concept of "freedom of speech".

4. Is foul language dangerous?

Foul language has become the "norm" for the modern, if not the bearer of the "great and mighty Russian language", then its uncomplaining "listener". Think about the facts! Over the past 20 years, the number of children with mental and physical retardation has increased 10 times, more than 80% of newborns are sick, only every 10 school graduates are healthy, the number of girls with chronic diseases has increased, and these are future mothers, carriers of the nation's gene pool; the daily mortality of the population of Russia is more than 2,500 people a day. In terms of total life expectancy, Russia ranks 133rd in the world among men and 100th among women, 54% of young people born in the 80s are not able to graduate from high school. There are many reasons for this misfortune, but not the last role among them is played by our verbal promiscuity. Today, schoolchildren, young people, adult men and women speak obscenities. "Mat" comes from the TV screens. Is this bad habit really harmless?

The culture of speech is degrading.

In the lexicon of the younger generation, the expressionless, meaningless mate, as well as the constantly mutating language of abbreviated computer terms, sounds more and more.

It destroys the dignity of a person.

It limits and humiliates a person.

Foul language corrupts souls, especially those who are unwitting listeners, including children.

5. But how does mate affect a person?

It must be said that the problem of foul language, the study of its effect on the human body, on its spiritual and physical health, has been and is being dealt with by many scientists and researchers. different countries.

Among the first scientists who dealt with this issue closely was Ivan Borisovich Belyavsky, Doctor of Biological Sciences. He tried to figure out how the human body is affected not by some huge blocks of information, but by simple monosyllabic words.

Belyavsky's seventeen-year study, which was gradually joined by a large group of his colleagues, was crowned with a real discovery. Scientists have been able to prove that every word we utter has a very distinct effect on our genes. The result of this influence with persistent (positive or negative) impact after some time is not just the transfer of modified genes to offspring, but also a change in a person’s own genetic code regarding the rate of aging and life span!

In a dissertation on this topic, it was proved with mathematical precision that not only a person has some kind of energy, but each of his words carries its own energy charge. And this very word affects our genes, either prolonging youth or bringing old age closer. It turns out that different words are differently charged, and just like in physics, there can be only two charges: positive and negative. Any swearing comes with a minus sign.

Already in the early 90s, this group of scientists published a book with many examples related to long-term observations of specific people. All these people were of the same age, but only one part of them was principled foul language with experience, and the second - opponents of strong expressions. Studies have shown that swearers very quickly manifest age-related changes at the cellular level, which lead to all kinds of diseases. In the second group, the results were opposite. In a word, the mat contributes to rapid aging.

At the Institute of Control Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Candidate of Biological Sciences Petr Petrovich Goryaev (the author of the new science "wave genetics") and Candidate of Technical Sciences Georgy Georgievich Tertyshny are dealing with this problem.

Researchers have invented a machine that translates human words into electromagnetic vibrations. And they are known to affect DNA molecules.

It turned out, - says Peter Garyaev, - that some words can be worse than mines: they "explode" in the human genetic apparatus, distorting its hereditary programs, causing mutations that lead to degeneration. During selective battles, chromosomes are twisted and torn, genes are swapped. As a result, DNA begins to develop unnatural programs. Mat has the quality of blocking creative processes in the human body.

And so the program of self-destruction is gradually passed on to offspring. Scientists have recorded that swear words cause a mutagenic effect similar to that which gives radioactive exposure with a power of thousands of roentgens.

Not risking experimenting on humans, exposing them to abuse, scientists conducted research on plants. The seeds of the plant Arabidopsis were subjected to experiments. For several weeks, regularly - for three or four hours a day - a tape recorder near them "recited" rude phrases. As a result, most of the seeds died, and the survivors became genetic freaks. These monsters, having suffered many diseases, passed them on by inheritance, and after several generations they degenerated. Interestingly, the mutagenic effect did not depend on the strength of the word, they could not be pronounced either loudly or in a whisper. On this basis, scientists concluded that certain words have an informational effect on DNA.

The reverse experiment was also carried out: scientists “blessed” the seeds killed by ten thousand roentgen radiation, prayed over them, and then the confused genes, broken chromosomes and DNA helices fell into place and grew together, the dead seeds came to life.

Someone may doubt: how can ordinary words affect the hereditary program? The fact is that the idea of a genetic apparatus consisting only of chemicals has long been outdated.

Wave genetics shows that a gene is not only a cell. The human program is encrypted in the so-called junk part of DNA, and not only in chemicals, but also in physical fields that are formed around chromosomes and have a holographic structure. All information about the past, present and future of the organism is contained in a folded form at each point of the wave genome.

DNA molecules exchange this information using electromagnetic waves, including acoustic and light. Our speech is also energy waves. So: in their structure, human speech and the genetic structures of cells are very similar. Scientists have come to a stunning conclusion: DNA perceives human speech, its wave “ears” are downright adapted to picking up sound vibrations. Prayer words awaken the reserve capabilities of the genetic apparatus. The curse destroys wave programs, which means it disrupts the normal development of the organism.

Another interesting fact. If a person, when ejecting negative energy, remembers the genitals, this has a negative effect on them. Therefore, swearers become impotent early and acquire urological diseases. The trouble is that it is not necessary to scold yourself, it is enough to accidentally hear swearing, because of which people who live surrounded by foul language also suffer from diseases.

Another interesting observation is connected with swear words. In those countries in whose national languages there are no curses indicating the reproductive organs, Down's disease and cerebral palsy have not been found, while in Russia these diseases exist. It is also interesting that animals do not have many diseases just because they do not know how to talk and, moreover, swear. A swearing anti-word makes a person much worse than an animal that never swears.

Pushkin once wrote to his wife: "Don't stain your soul with reading French novels," and for good reason. The molecules of heredity receive both acoustic and light information: silent reading reaches the cell nuclei through electromagnetic channels. One text heals heredity, the other injures it.

The well-known psychophysiologist, doctor, member of the World Ecological Academy Leonid Kitaev-Smyk claims that the abuse of obscenities slowly but surely leads to hormonal disorders, especially in women. Cosmetologists have noticed that those of their clients who cannot live without a mat suffer more than others from increased hairiness of the limbs, they have a lower voice. The fact is that the mat contributes to the production of male sex hormones.

Experiments with water have been carried out for a long time. It turns out that in water it is important not so much chemical composition how much structure.

Under the influence of sounds, including human speech, water molecules (and our body consists of about 80 percent of it) begin to line up in complex sculptures. And depending on the rhythm and semantic load, these structures can heal or, conversely, poison the body.

In Southeast Asia, work was underway to create the strongest type of biological weapon. And so, in 1956, at a meeting, there was a discussion of the properties of this biological weapon. Suddenly - a break: the meeting participants are taken to the hospital with signs of severe poisoning. Scientists did not drink anything but water. It was checked: no chemical impurities were found. That is, scientists were poisoned by plain water. Then they wrote that: ordinary water became the cause of poisoning. A film was even made about this incident and it was shown on TV.

Next, scientists began to test how words affect water. They conducted various experiments: they cursed at one, prayed at the other. Then we examined the structure. And the structure of the water over which they cursed was deformed, while that of the water over which they prayed, on the contrary, improved.

Experiments were also carried out: they watered the plants with water over which they cursed, and over which they prayed, and this was reflected in the germination of seeds. Those seeds over which they cursed did not germinate or became moldy, and those over which they prayed germinated better than those over which they did not swear and did not pray. There are already special institutes in which they try to influence the seeds with kind words in order to increase the yield.

In the 20th century, the Japanese scientist Masaro Emoto, using the latest equipment, was able to freeze and photograph water under a microscope.

What he saw at the molecular level amazed him. The photo showed mainly crystals of various shapes and clarity - they look very similar to snowflakes.

Before freezing, the water was told different words in many languages or influenced by music. It turned out that the shape of the crystal reflects the amazing properties of water. It can be concluded that praise affects water better than a request or demand, and foul language is not capable of generating harmonious beauty.

A sheet of paper with words printed on it was wrapped around a water bottle. The result was a crystal of perfect shape. This indicates that love and appreciation are the basis of life.

As you can see, words with a negative meaning do not even form a shape, and positively charged water has beautiful, clear crystals.

But a person consists of 80-90% of water.

It's scary to imagine if thoughts and words can do this to water, what then can they do to a person.

That's why there are so few healthy people left, that's why children get sick, whose parents constantly swear.

Obscene language is more and more overwhelmed modern society: swearing is rushing at us from buses and taxis, from radios and television screens, from theater and variety stages, from the pages of various printed publications, from high stands.

Everyone admits that foul language in the modern world has become an epidemic. Psychologists notice that the use of a mat forms an addiction similar to alcohol, nicotine, and drugs. There are 3 stages in this process:

the first stage, when a person first hears an obscene word, he experiences shame, disgust, disgust;

the second stage, when a person first uses such a bad word - for company, for relaxation or feigned prowess;

the third stage - a person gets used to this word, he is no longer ashamed to use it. In the future, a person already uses these words without noticing it. Even later - he can no longer express himself without swearing at all, he forgets other words.

Obscene language, obscene language, dirty, offensive words - they used to be used only in the lower strata of society, now we hear all this on the streets, in yards, on playgrounds, in cinemas, on TV shows, from the lips of politicians and artists. You involuntarily recall an oriental proverb: "There is nothing more contagious than a word."

Modern medicine claims that careful, careful handling of the word is a necessary sign of a healthy lifestyle. Otherwise, diseases will arise. This disease is called "coprolalia". The name comes from the Greek kopros - kala, dirt and lalia - speech. So in medicine they call a painful, sometimes irresistible attraction to cynical and obscene abuse without any reason.

4 stages of disease development:

Stage I - a person feels shame, disgust, disgust;

Stage II - a person uses such a bad word for the first time - for the company, for relaxation or feigned prowess;

Stage III - a person uses these words without noticing it.

Stage IV - can no longer express himself without a mat, forgets other words.

And this is the attraction we have seen in recent years among many of our compatriots.

Is it necessary to deal with foul language and how?

What ways of combating foul language were proposed?

· Increasing the general level of literacy and culture.

· Deep study of the Russian language and literature.

· Cultivate love for people.

· Tougher laws, fines, censorship.

· Leading by example in the family from an early age.

· Promotion of healthy lifestyles.

· Make comments to each other.

Punish boors with contempt.

Final part.

According to the conclusion of WHO experts, the state of health of the population is determined by 10% by the level of development of medicine, as a science and the state of medical care, by 20% by hereditary factors, by 20% by the state of the environment and by 50% by lifestyle. The only way leading to the health of each person is a change in the attitude of a person towards himself. The one who swears has 2 ways: the first is knowing that it is bad, continue to use foul language, thereby turning on the self-destruction program. And, the second path is the path of spiritual growth, self-improvement, the path of beauty. The law of free will gives the right to choose which way to go.

L.N. Tolstoy wrote: “The word is a great thing. Great because a word can unite people, a word can also separate them. Words can serve love, words can serve enmity and hatred. Beware of a word that divides people."

No religion encourages the habit of swearing. This is considered a grave sin.

"Woe to every blasphemer - slanderer" (from the Koran)

“Harlots, drunkards and foul-mouthed people will not inherit the kingdom of God” (from the Bible).

The words

Words can kill

words can save

In a word, you can lead the shelves behind you.

In a word, you can sell

and betray, and buy,

The word is possible

pour into crushing lead.

"Every word is rotten

let it not come out of your mouth…”

Innovative approaches in patriotic education and civic development of the personality of a child, adolescent

Modern libraries are unique repositories of various knowledge, including on issues related to patriotic education, which covers almost all areas of the library:

study and formation of information needs of certain categories of users;

· formation and use of funds (historical, artistic, local history, etc.) of literature to help patriotic education;

· coordination of activities of libraries with other institutions and organizations;

· development of local history as an integral part of historical and patriotic education.

The library, having huge information resources, is able to contribute to familiarization with the native word, history and modern life of the country. Given the "advancement" of the younger generation in matters of informatization, libraries need to regularly improve the effectiveness of the forms and methods of work on the patriotic education of youth. The palette of events held should be diverse not only in subject matter, but also in form.

Along with the traditional forms of work, libraries should also use new, non-traditional forms of promoting historical and patriotic books: library seasons, role-playing games, visiting reading rooms, biblio-tours, hours of reading pleasure, historical collage.

In order to increase the interest of young people in reading historical books, to make it more meaningful, intellectual reading salons are being created, a military stagecoach, a literary carousel, a historical kaleidoscope, an educational and entertainment program, etc.

No less significant and attractive to readers are the Weeks of Historical Memory. For example, the program of the Week of Historical Memory “The Immortal Feat of Defenders of the Fatherland” should include: an exhibition-view “Lines Scorched by War”; quiz game "In the footsteps of courage and steadfastness"; an hour of historical messages “I am your soldier and son, Motherland!”; local lore mosaic "From the memory of old-timers".

It can also be a set of events that make up the historical and information program "Patriots of the Fatherland", including: interactive exhibitions, photo exhibitions; loud reading circles; hours, lessons of courage (lesson-reflection); themed evenings; Open days, meetings with veterans, evenings of Remembrance; literary and musical compositions; club meetings; theatrical performances, performances; festivals and forums; scientific youth conferences; events using the latest telecommunication technologies: virtual tours, film festivals, presentations, media reviews, Internet broadcasts and video bridges.

In the practice of libraries with children and youth, complex forms boldly enter: video screenings - in parallel with reading and discussion, slide - stories, media and interactive capabilities of electronic media are used. Patriotic events include:

Dialogue forms of mass work: discussion of the book, conversation, debate, historical discussion, civil forum, literary and historical bridge, reader's conference, press conference, round table, evening dialogue, historical journalism, evening of meetings, etc.

Historical readings- this is a cycle of various mass events related to the main theme of "readings" and in a certain system acquainting readers with literature on a current historical issue or a chosen topic. The main condition of this form of work is the periodic holding of events within a predetermined period of time: from three months to a year.

The "readings" are based on specially developed scenarios. Their participants can be librarians and readers, artists and members of amateur art activities. The readings consist of two parts: a lecture (a report, an hour of history, a lesson in courage, etc.) and an illustrative part (demonstration of excerpts from a film, performance, concert, showing drawings, slides, reading excerpts from works, review of literature, performance of musical works ).

The cycle of events “We are faithful to this memory” contributes to the awakening of interest in reading military history literature, in which literary evenings, theatrical performances, loud readings, memory hours, and history lessons will become fundamental. The best literary works about the war can be presented at the exhibitions: “Read the best books about the Great Patriotic War” (electronic texts of fiction); “A book about the war that I advise my friends to read…”, etc.

Proverbs and sayings related to the Patriotic War of 1812

"Moscow fire".

Today this expression is used to characterize the events that took place in Moscow in September 1812, immediately after Napoleon's troops entered the city. In the middle of the XIX century. this proverb had a slightly different meaning. “Moscow fire” is all the events of the summer of 1812 that developed in Moscow and around it. This is the anxious expectation of the Napoleonic army, and preparation for defense, and the departure of residents from the city, and the Battle of Borodino, and the excesses of the French in Moscow, and fires, and the return of Russian troops, and the restoration of the city. For Moscow, the era of "fire" has become a historical milestone and a new starting point. In 1820, the concepts of “pre-fire Moscow” and “post-fire Moscow” came into general use.

"Kutuzov came to beat the French."

On August 17, 1812, Emperor Alexander I appointed M.I. Kutuzov. A student and colleague of A.V. Suvorov, he was able, in the opinion of Russian society and the army, to stop the French offensive and achieve a turning point in the war. Therefore, the appointment of M.I. Kutuzov was greeted with enthusiasm.

So, artillery officer I.T. Radozhitsky witnessed the first meeting of a talented commander with the army in Tsarevo-Zaimishche. “Everyone was waiting for a decisive battle ... when suddenly the news of the arrival of a new commander-in-chief, Prince Kutuzov, ran electrically through the army. The moment of joy was inexplicable: the name of this commander produced a general resurrection of the spirit in the troops, from soldier to general. Everyone who could, flew to meet the venerable leader, to accept from him the hope of saving Russia. The officers cheerfully congratulated each other on the happy change of circumstances; even the soldiers, walking with boilers for water, as usual sluggishly and lazily, having heard about the arrival of their beloved commander, with a cry of "Hurrah!" ran to the river, imagining that they were already chasing the enemy. Immediately they had a saying: "Kutuzov has arrived to beat the French!"

“Moscow is behind us!”

An expression used as the last argument, after which there can be no retreat, no compromise. For the first time these words were heard during the Battle of Borodino. According to eyewitness F.N. Glinka, they were said by General D.S. Dokhturov. “In the heat of the battle itself, Dokhturov received a note from Kutuzov drawn in pencil: “Keep to the last extreme.” Meanwhile, one horse was killed under him, another was wounded. He traveled calmly, telling the soldiers about Moscow, about the Fatherland, and thus, under the unheard of fire from Borodino, even, as we saw, for some time in one of his squares, he spent 11 hours. F.N. Glinka remembered the exact words of D.S. Dokhturov, with whom he addressed the soldiers: “Moscow is behind us! Everyone should die, but not a step back!”

"The Frenchman set himself on fire".

The proverb points to the guilt of the soldiers of the French army in the Moscow fires. But even today, historians argue who burned Moscow in 1812 - the French or the Russians. In the memoirs of the French written many years after the war, one can read how Napoleonic soldiers in the very first days in the captured city were engaged in robbery, setting fire to houses. On the other hand, there is evidence that the Muscovites themselves acted as arsonists. These were mostly merchants who did not want the enemy to get their shops with goods. At the end of September, preparing to leave Moscow, Napoleon gave the order to blow up the Kremlin, St. Basil's Cathedral and the remaining stone buildings, which also caused a new wave of fires.

"The Frenchman entered Moscow to visit and left his bones there."

After the departure of the Russian army from Moscow, a real guerrilla war broke out in the city. A contemporary said: “When the city was turned to ashes by fire, and therefore, after extinguishing it, it was not lit by lanterns, then on autumn, deep and dark nights, the inhabitants of Moscow killed a great many French ... Our Frenchmen were beaten at night; and during the day they either hid in the dungeons, or were killed in turn by the French. They only say that Bonaparte was missing more than 20 thousand people in Moscow.

"A hungry Frenchman is happy with a crow."

The expression testifies to the plight of the Napoleonic army after the capture of Moscow. According to the recollections of eyewitnesses who managed to get out of the occupied city, the French daily went hunting to shoot crows and could not boast of their soup from these birds. This story served the artist I.I. Terebenev as a plot for the cartoon "French crow soup". It depicts four ragged, miserable-looking French soldiers; one greedily tears apart a crow, another looks at him with an outstretched hand, a third sucks on a crow's bone, and a fourth licks the cauldron in which the soup was boiled. The artist provided the caricature with verses:

The trouble is with our great Napoleon:

Feeds us on a campaign of bones with broth,

In Moscow, our tooth whistled to feast;

Not here! Let's sip some crow's soup!

"Father Paris will have to pay for Mother Moscow."

The proverb emphasizes the natural desire of the entire Russian people to pay off the French for all their crimes committed on the territory of Russia.

"The earth trembled from the Borodino cannon near Moscow."

The proverb reflects the impression of the thunder of the cannonade of the Battle of Borodino. Everyone understood perfectly well that the fate of the ancient city depended on the success of the battle.

"He was unburned, but he came out of Moscow scorched."

The proverb reflects the game of Russian words. The name "Napoleon", unusual for the people, was comprehended and Russified, becoming more understandable for the Russian people. The meaning of the proverb is clear - the French emperor fled from Moscow after the fires.

New terms and interesting forms of mass work in the library

Dear colleagues!

In connection with the introduction of the latest technologies in the work of the library, librarians are increasingly encountering new terms. Some concepts are borrowed from other branches of knowledge, introducing their own specifics into the work of libraries, and some from the practice of colleagues working abroad, etc. Librarians in their professional activities try to keep up with the times, using innovative forms in their work.

I included in the post some well-known forms of mass work that are relevant today, expanding the range of forms of work with readers. We are talking about both traditional, historically established forms of events, as well as promising, innovative ones that are just emerging in connection with the development of the information needs of society, the changing place of libraries in the information and leisure markets.

All terms are listed in alphabetical order.

When compiling, various sources indicated at the end of the post were used. There are also a number of interesting useful links on the topic.

Reader's Academya cycle of events (lessons) dedicated to teaching users the basics of information culture.

Art - space (exhibition hall)- art action(creativity), actively taking root in real space, while the space itself acts as an art object, or serves only as a frame for it.

Assembly - a kind of literary evening, stylized as an era of the 18th century. In Russia, the assembly was planted by Peter I. At the assemblies, people danced, played chess, drank coffee and, unlike the salons of the 19th century, practically did not have smart conversations. In library conditions, creative performances of both readers and librarians are possible.

Assorted— an event with a set of various themes and forms of work.

brain attack ( brainstorm) intellectual game, requiring participants to offer ideas (options) for solving a specific problem in the shortest possible time. Intellectual entertainment. At the auction, a question or a prize is “sold” and it can be “buyed”: a “purchase” is made by presenting any knowledge requested by the “seller”. In fact, this is an open competition for the best knowledge of the topic - the prize is received by the one who answers last.Game Attributes: lectern, hammer, bell. By ringing the bell, the presenter (auctioneer) starts the auction and each new task. First, the “goods” are considered, then the payment is announced and the first installments are accepted. You can use a system of tokens awarded for each answer. Then the winners in the auction will be those who collect the largest number tokens.

The first question should encourage the child to show his attitude to the book or to remember the most liked places in it. For example, asking questions such as “What did you like about the book help you strike up a conversation with a younger reader? When were you most worried and worried? In a conversation with older children, one should avoid leading questions that can alienate the reader and cause unwillingness to conduct a conversation. Questions can be prompted by the title of the book: “Do you think the title of the book is a good one?” If it is possible to compare the characters of the book you read, the following question is possible: “Which of the characters in the book did you like best and why?” Sometimes a question about the attitude of the author to his characters helps to start a conversation. If the librarian is not sure that the reader will enter into a conversation about what he has read, he, without waiting for the reader's response, shares his impressions about the book himself, thereby causing the reader to have a conversation. During the dialogue, the librarian finds out what the reader has learned from the book, how he evaluates it, whether he used the acquired knowledge in practice, why the reader was not satisfied with the recommended book, etc.

Conversation about read books (group)- talking with a group of readers about the read work is held after the guys have read (listened to) a work that greatly excited them, causing conflicting opinions. Tact requires a discussion of the moral issues posed in the book. If possible, everyone should be allowed to speak out, answer all the questions that have arisen in children, clarify incomprehensible things, and not scold them for the so-called “wrong” answers. A conversation about a popular science or science fiction book gives the librarian the opportunity to determine the degree of accessibility of cognitive material to readers, to highlight points that require special explanations.
During the conversation, the librarian uses a variety of techniques: attracting feedback from other readers, book reviews, commented reading of passages, tips, illustrations for the text, and much more. It is advisable to focus the reader's attention on individual elements of the book, on information about the author, artist, author of the preface or afterword, place of publication of the book, genre, presentation features, etc. Along with the story about the book, the librarian introduces the reader to pre-selected excerpts or illustrations from the book .

Book discussion- collective analysis and evaluation of works of fiction and industry literature by a group of readers together with a librarian, author, critic, etc. in the form of a free discussion. Readers participate in the discussion voluntarily, with varying degrees of activity and initiative. The choice of book for discussion is important. You need to know the readers well: their age characteristics, interests, needs, level of preparation.
The next stage in the preparation of the discussion is the development of questions.
The content is divided into questions: helping to reveal the plot (“Where and when does the action take place ...”); deepening the understanding of the content of the book and forming the reader's ability to analyze what they have read ("Which title is more consistent with the content of the book?"); encouraging readers to express their thoughts, judgments about the characters, about the literary works themselves (“Which of the characters does the author like best? And you?”); helping to identify the relationship between problems real life and the problems of literary heroes (“Which episode do you think is the main one?).
To establish contact with the audience, they usually start with questions: Are you familiar with the works of this author? Which of his books did you find the most interesting? In what mood did you read it? The nature of the questions can be very varied. The older the readers, the more often questions are raised that require a comparative description of the heroes of different works, highlighting the common in their behavior, choosing the right solution in the situation that has arisen. Questions should activate the imagination of readers, cause a desire to reflect. Each subsequent question should be logically connected with the previous ones and with the statements of the guys. To attract the attention of readers to the upcoming discussion, a special poster-announcement is drawn up., which gives brief information about the book, the date, time and place of the discussion. The announcement should not contain the questions provided for by the discussion program. Preparing readers for discussion is to ensure that all participants read the book so that they have a need to discuss it. To do this, the librarian has many tricks: to talk about the author, about his other works, to organize a book exhibition dedicated to the writer's work, to refer to the opinion of the children's peers, etc. An important role is played by individual consultations for all those preparing for the discussion. 10-15 people can participate in the discussion, but no more than 25-30. The leader usually adheres to a pre-designed program, but this does not mean that he should not deviate from it. A number of additional questions may arise during the discussion. The presenter must not only listen very carefully to the speakers, but also follow the audience in order to pick up someone's remark in time, collide different opinions, notice and correctly use the reaction of readers. The facilitator may ask someone to speak, ask questions, but this should not be in the nature of an official call and “pulling out” an answer. This would be contrary to the very nature of free and voluntary conversation. You should not inform the guys in advance about your attitude to the work. Concluding the discussion, the librarian may dwell on the trends in the writer's work, continued in his new works.

As a rule, the organization of well-known events is being reorganized without introducing any new elements into them. This significantly reduces interest in visiting institutions. As a result, libraries are gradually beginning to turn into archives. Meanwhile, one of the priority tasks of the cultural and educational sphere is the development of love and respect for books. Let us consider further some types and forms of library events.

information day

During it, various forms of library activities for children and adults can be used. Organization of the day of information involves the development of an exciting program. Its main goal is to inform readers about new arrivals. The frequency of the event will depend on the volume of incoming literature. If it is small, then it is advisable to organize an information day once a month. The institution notifies readers of the date through posters, advertisements, local press, or special letters. The messages contain specific names and forms of library events that will be carried out within the framework of the information day. The program may include familiarization with art publications, critical notes. During the information day, the authors themselves can speak, presenting their works. This form of library activities has many advantages. First of all, readers are among the first to get acquainted with the works. If the authors themselves are present at the presentation, you can get an autograph from them, ask questions of interest.

Specialist Day

It acts as a special form of library methodological activities. The organization of the specialist's day also involves the preparation of a comprehensive program. It includes a direct demonstration of primary and secondary documentation, familiarization with advanced scientific achievements in the cultural and educational sphere. By its nature, the specialist's day acts as an intermediate form of work. There are many library activities. However, the specialist's day has a special practical significance among them. In the course of it, the employees of the institution themselves receive methodological information, explanations for certain instructions. As part of the specialist's day, it is advisable to organize seminars and discussions. They can discuss innovative forms of library activities.

Review

This form of library activities has a number of features. The review involves familiarization with the documents, a summary of their content. It can be themed. For example, the forms of library events on ecology involve familiarizing readers with the latest scientific articles on the protection of nature, a visual demonstration of publications dedicated to the natural habitat. As part of the review day, specialists and experts can speak. They give comments on articles, notes, explain the significance of certain discoveries. Such forms of library events on ecology instill a craving for knowledge, an understanding of the importance of the topic and the role of each person in protecting nature.

Book discussion

As part of this form of library activities for children and adults, different points of view regarding a particular publication are considered. Its substantial and artistic advantages and disadvantages are discussed. In the conversation, attention is focused on the relevance of the problems raised in the book, the subject matter, the way the material is presented, and so on. This form of library activities is characterized by a phased organization. The first stage is preparation. In particular, the work and the topic of discussion are chosen in accordance with the interests of the audience. After that, information is collected and processed - the opinions of critics, literary critics, reader ratings. After that, abstracts are prepared and a discussion plan is drawn up: introduction to the problem, posing questions. During the conversation, it is important to organize a dialogue, exchange views and conclusions, summarize everything that has been said and evaluate the result. Any work of art, including those studied at school, can be submitted for discussion. Such forms of library events on Lermontov, Tolstoy, Pushkin and other classics will be very informative.

Reader's Benefit

As part of this form of library activities for young people, acquaintance with the best visitors of the institution is carried out. Benefits are designed to strengthen the authority of readers, improve their social status. In the course of its holding, other visitors get acquainted with the biography of a person, some aspects of his life. The best readers, in turn, can show their favorite books, introduce them to the content and their opinion about them. As part of the benefit performance, musical compositions can also be listened to. The main task of this form of library events is to illustrate the role of the book in the formation of a person's personality, his destiny, and the acquisition of knowledge.

Bookcrossing and flashbook

Recently, completely new forms of library activities have been used in practice. The list of them today is still small, but among them one can note those that have already become popular. First of all, it is worth mentioning bookcrossing. It is, simply put, the process of releasing various books. A person, after reading a work, leaves it in public place. It can be a metro station, a cafe, a park, and so on. Another person can take this book and, having read it, also leaves it in some place. At the same time, the publication receives its unique number, by which it can be tracked on special sites.

The second popular form of library events today is the flashbook. This term is called a book flash mob on the Internet. Those wishing to participate in the action create a page in social networks ("Odnoklassniki", "VKontakte", "Facebook", etc.) in the name of the work. After that, the initiators begin to invite users to their community. On the page, you can post bright quotes from the work, illustrations, biographical information, an excerpt from the author's correspondence, etc. Modern forms Library activities require, as a rule, the presence of a PC and the Internet. At the same time, people who belong to one group or another often meet in real life.

Literary karaoke

New forms of library events should be exciting first and foremost. It is important to provide an atmosphere in which readers can freely express their opinions, demonstrate their abilities and talents. New forms of library events include various competitions and promotions. Literary karaoke, for example, can become very exciting. It is a competition of readers to the music. The melody is matched to the rhythm, meter, or mood of the poem. The reader does not know what kind of work he will get. The task is to catch the rhythm of music and verse and connect them.

Literary vernissage

Many poets and writers dedicate works to outstanding figures of art and culture as part of their work. Literary Opening Day - a game in which two teams participate. The first presents such "portraits". For example, a short annotation to the biography is given, poetry or prose is read. The task of the second team is to guess the person they are talking about.

shock lesson

This form of events is prepared on a specific topical topic. For example, a shock lesson may be devoted to drug addiction, smoking, AIDS. Letters from people who are addicted or have diseases, their revelations can serve as a basis. At the same time, the source material is not edited, but presented in its original form with the preservation of vocabulary and content. As part of such classes, it is advisable to show videos. During the lesson, statistics are presented.

Evening divertissement

It is a small concert. As part of the evening, poetry and prose are read, music is played, including live. The program may include works of completely different genres. It can be popular songs, classical melodies, comic skits, serious monologues. In such a relaxed atmosphere, communication takes place.

Evening of questions and answers

During the event, readers are involved in an increased interest in industry and fiction. Questions may focus on a specific topic or on multiple subjects. The choice will depend on the interests of readers. Readers preliminarily make lists of questions from which a certain number of them are selected. The evening can, for example, be spent on the topic of local history. Specialists, historians, museum workers are invited to the institution. As part of the form of local history library events, readers will learn many interesting facts about their region from the lips of experts.

Games

These forms of library activities have become very popular in recent times. Traveling games are organized to familiarize readers with the culture, history of the region, and traditions. Activities are held in imaginary conditions. All participants receive certain roles. They can write letters, diaries from the scene. Activities like this stimulate the imagination. Before the game, participants prepare, collect and study information on the topic, maps, reference books, and more.

"Pecha-heap"

The name of this event comes from the Japanese word for "talk". "Pecha-heap" involves the presentation short reports limited in content and form. As a rule, this form of events is used at informal conferences. The speaker makes a presentation, consisting of, for example, 20 slides. Each of them is shown for 20 seconds. After the last frame, the report of the next participant starts automatically. The number of such presentations can vary from 8 to 12.

"5 minutes with art"

This event is a flexible and easy form of familiarization with the beautiful. It implements the principle of "small dosage". Such events are designed for people who are not accustomed to artistic thinking. In this regard, communication with art is small and short. For several minutes, one or more works are perceived. There is no analysis or evaluation involved. The essence of the event is to express their own impressions about the shown work. In this case, there should be no imposition of anyone's opinion.

Organizing and holding such an event requires careful preparation. In this case, different aspects are taken into account. Attention is drawn to the arrangement of chairs, the interior, the demonstration place. A short introduction should be required. It will provide the necessary mental attitude. The final point concerning the direct communication of the participants is also important.

Experts recommend periodically holding such events. For example, you can make a cycle of showings of the works of an author, timed to coincide with the anniversary. It is very effective to use a double artistic row. Works of various types can be shown, with one serving as the background. For example, when a picture is shown, Vivaldi's music is turned on. In this case, two psychological channels will be activated: auditory and visual. Some impressions will reinforce others.

Particular attention should be paid to the content of the material. It should be understandable and informative. Positive emotions caused by such five-minute sessions contribute to the awakening of interest in art.

Bibliotherapy

Literally, it means "healing with books." The official definition of bibliotherapy was given by the Association of Hospital Libraries. Such treatment involves the use of specially selected works as therapeutic agents in psychiatry and general medicine. With the help of directed reading, various personal problems are solved. Initially, a sage, a thinker, an impeccable ascetic ascetic who devoted his life to studying the spiritual side of the world, was called a therapist. In the modern sense, he can be considered an "information worker who heals with a word."

The essence of therapy

It has been scientifically established that reading books can have a beneficial effect on a person. Certain works contribute to recovery, maintaining psychological balance. The art of a smart, beautiful, kind word can cause a revolution in consciousness, change a person's views on certain phenomena. The power of works of art is very great.

The birth of book therapy

For the first time, treatment with works began to be used in monasteries. As a rule, these were church publications. The pastor read prayers before people, explained the Law of God. Currently, bibliotherapy is used in the treatment of people suffering from neuroses. At the same time, the influence is carried out not only by the word, but also by music. The latter acts as a background, setting off the tone of the reader. The truth that the word has medicinal properties known in ancient times. Along with music, it had a beneficial effect on all living things, on the mood and feelings of people. The well-known Hippocrates specifically prescribed courses of such treatment to patients. Pythagoras once said that music can save people from madness. During the period of illness, the artistic perception of a person changes. So, some are beginning to be attracted to works filled with despair and pessimism. In such books, a person tries to draw parallels with his own life. It also happens differently. A person, on the contrary, is attracted to works full of optimism and ending well.

Methodology

Librarianship can be done in a variety of ways. The most effective is the cycle of "treatment" hours. Within the framework of each of them, a literary and musical composition with a certain psychological mood is presented. Poems, prose, melody are specially selected. Literary and musical compositions should evoke good, bright feelings in the listeners, help them gain confidence, a point of support in a stressful situation. Book therapy is aimed at correcting the psychological perception of the world around.

The fundamental difference between bibliotherapy hours and traditional events is that only music and words are used for the impact. In such cases, there is no usual propaganda of the book - elements of conversation, review, etc. The key task of the librarian is to act as a skillful performer, reader. Equally important is the correspondence of the content of the book to the chosen melody. The composition can be started with slow, calm music, gradually translating it into a more lively one. You can end the event with a melody that conveys the sounds of nature. Watch themes can be very different. For example, works about happiness, family, love, friendship, communication with nature, art are read.

Additional Information

It is worth saying that today there are disputes about the benefits and harms of certain literary works. The therapeutic effect is undoubtedly provided by a book written by a spiritually healthy author. The mechanism of therapy consists in recognizing oneself in the hero of the work, trying on the lessons that he draws from the events described. It is known that optimistic people recover faster. According to representatives of oriental medicine, treatment will not bring any results if a person is depressed and devastated. Accordingly, one should not give Anna Karenina to a patient experiencing discord in the family. As observations show, reading Brodsky, Shakespeare, Bunin helps to get rid of gloomy thoughts that oppress a person. Dostoevsky's works are mysterious. They awaken in some readers previously unknown experiences and sensations. Some people get tired of Tolstoy's works. The books of Gogol and Chekhov are notable for their unusualness, variety of moods. Among them are both funny and deeply philosophical works.

Conclusion

Recently, the activity of readers in libraries has decreased significantly. This is connected, of course, with the introduction of computer technology. More and more people prefer electronic rather than paper books. Nevertheless, libraries continue to work and attract people, hold various events aimed at instilling a love for literature, activating cognitive interest. To increase attendance, it is necessary to develop exciting programs. At the same time, it is necessary to be based on the interests of readers.

The main visitors to libraries are children. It can be quite difficult to get perseverance and interest in a book from a child. Playful forms of library events are used to attract children to reading. The children of the Ivanovsky microdistrict and pupils came to see the performance senior group MBDOU " Kindergarten№3 "Birch" and their parents. Before the theatrical performance, the storyteller invited the children to solve riddles, with the help of which those present could get to know the heroes of the fairy tale. The performance was liked not only by children, but also by their parents. The guys reacted very emotionally to everything that happened: they worried about the heroes, rejoiced, laughed. from the repertoire of the Barbariki group.

AT Family Reading Library named after S. Ya. Marshak Theater Day opened with a story by the presenter (Galina Sorokina) about the theater and its history. The children were shown a puppet show based on the fairy tale by D. N. Mamin-Sibiryak "The Tale of Voronushka - a black little head and a yellow bird Canary". Young readers really liked the heroes of the tale, especially the Canary, because she is very touching, defenseless, and, of course, the Crow, contrary to popular belief, is not at all harmful, but envious. Then the children enthusiastically answered the questions of an electronic quiz on their favorite fairy tale. In conclusion, the students were asked to draw their favorite characters from this work.

AT library to them. Polorussova-Shelebi a fantasy game "Let's play a fairy tale" dedicated to the International Theater Day was held. The guys living in the library microdistrict came to celebrate this significant day. First, they were given riddles about the theater, about professions related to the theater. The children successfully coped with them and guessed what will be discussed next. The journey into the world of theatrical art began with the display of a poster announcing the performance and a ticket, which is presented at the entrance to the theater. The listeners were told about the celebration of this international day. An excursion into the history of the first mention of the theater in ancient Greece and Russia was made. The librarian told about the milestones in the development of the theater in our country, about the outstanding figures of this art form, introduced the books of the thematic shelf "His Majesty the Theater". After watching a presentation about the theater, they remembered the professions of people involved in the birth of a miracle called "Theatrical production" and the rules of conduct in the temple of Melpomene. The children were especially interested in "Grandfather Durov's Corner" - the Moscow theater of animals. And indeed - this is an unusual house, the like of which is no longer in the world. Here reigns peace and harmony between man and nature. A true story and a fairy tale live side by side here.
