Air and water temperature from the beginning to the end of the month

It is worth noting that last month autumn in Vietnam is located on the border between the wet and dry seasons. It may rain in some places, but in general, dry weather prevails. The air temperature ranges from +25 to +30°C, the water warms up to an average of 26°C.

At the same time, the weather conditions in Vietnam have serious differences in the northern and southern parts.

This applies especially to winter months, the first of which is November. And if in the south tropical showers give way to dry weather, then the north feels the proximity of winter.

In this way, south in Vietnam the first half of November is usually rainy and the thermometer on some days can be in the range of 20-25 degrees. Further, in the second half of November, there is less rain in the south of Vietnam and the days become warmer, the temperature can reach 30 degrees on some days.

In the north in early November, about 25-27 degrees and then every day there comes a gradual decrease to 22-24 degrees.

Coldest of all in the mountainous regions of Sapa. Even during the day, the temperature here barely exceeds 20 degrees. Well, the nights are even cooler.

It is not so cold in Hanoi and Halong, but the sweltering heat is no longer here - daytime temperatures are a comfortable 26 degrees. Sometimes typhoons come to Hanoi, bringing downpours, but this is a rather rare occurrence.

In general, one should consider november holiday in vietnam and water and air temperature for each resort separately, this aspect will be covered in more detail in the following paragraphs.

And also, visit the capital of Vietnam - the contrasting city of Hanoi, and the bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City.

Such pleasant memories and moods will be remembered for for a long time!

Where is the best place to relax?

The lands of Vietnam have an elongated shape. Throughout the year, you can find wonderful places to relax here. The weather differs depending on whether the northern, central or southern region of the country.

Beach holidays are provided for tourists, because each region has its own resorts.

Northern Vietnam is known for Hongai, Haiphong and Hanoi. There are very interesting excursions here, rich nature and great beaches. Da Nang, Da Lat, Hue are the famous resorts of Central Vietnam. Well, in South Vietnam you can visit Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon, Phu Quoc Island or the resorts of Nha Trang and Phan Thiet.

southern part

To begin with, let's focus on the southern part, which is most favorable for beach tourism.

For those who like to soak up the hot sun in November, it is better to visit the south coast.

Temperature sea water plus 29. The south of Vietnam will delight tourists with wonderful beaches. Excursions and trips around the region will also be exciting. The south of Vietnam is dominated by sunny weather no precipitation. Occasionally there are typhoons.

Tem who is afraid of typhoons and similar natural phenomena Nha Trang should be advised, as this area is protected by rocks from the winds, is located away from volcanic activity and is not subject to typhoons. Rainy days can occur in early November (November is the rainiest of the year), but in general there is often the opportunity to swim and bask in the warm rays.

Phu Quoc Island enjoy the dry climate. During the day the sky is cloudless. Showers are occasionally possible at night. The thermometers show 30 degrees Celsius.

In Phan Thiet warmer compared to Nha Trang and the water often warms up to 27 degrees. There are about four completely cloudless days, and about eight rainy days in November. However, if we continue to compare with Nha Trang, then, according to meteorologists, there is less rain in quantitative terms.

Center and North

In November, the central regions of Vietnam do not please with good weather. At this time, frequent cyclones strong wind and rain cause floods. As a rule, tourists rarely visit the central part of Vietnam. Therefore, the price of a ticket to this region is low.

In Hoi An and Hue November is very rainy. The air warms up to 27 degrees. The water temperature in the sea is +26. If the typhoon does not interfere, then you can enjoy swimming.

Plus 26.5 degrees. Such a temperature in Da Nang. The water also warms up to almost 27 degrees. But, weather conditions are unfavorable for frequent rest. Sea water in this region is cloudy, and precipitation is very frequent.

Clear and windless in Ho Chi Minh. In the daytime, the air temperature is 31 degrees Celsius. At night + 24.5. There are very few cloudy and rainy days. Only 5 per month.

Not sultry at all Dalat resort. During the day, the thermometers show + 22, at night up to + 17.

What to choose?

In fact, you yourself can draw these conclusions for yourself from the above. If you want to save money and go on excursions, then you can choose the central regions and go to the coast on some days. If you want to swim and sunbathe enough, then you should look for some resort in the south.

In November, in our latitudes, the close breath of winter is already felt with might and main. Low temperatures and bare tree branches make you sad and despondent, which is why many tourists have a desire to spend a week or two in a hot country. In this article on the Tour-Calendar, we find out how comfortable a vacation in Vietnam is in a given period of time.

Weather in Vietnam in November

Vietnam has an impressive meridional extent, which is why its territory experiences different weather conditions in the same period. Predicting them is quite difficult, but still give general characteristics is quite real. For the convenience of presenting the material, we divide the country into three climatic zones: northern, central and southern. So, in November, the northern provinces lay the transitional bar to a cool winter. First of all, this is expressed in a significant drop in daily extremes and a gradual end bathing season(The last to close it in Ngean and Hatin). In general, the temperature gradient here is +17..+23 °C. However, if there is a bright sun in the sky, the air can warm up to +25..+26 °C. The luminary burns barely perceptibly. You can even say that it is "hacky", so everyone who is tired of the exhausting heat comes here. It should be noted that compared to other regions, the amount of precipitation in the north is almost zero. The vast majority of the month are clear or partly cloudy days. Rains, as a rule, are marked only 5-7 days. And even then, they go mostly at night. The only thing is that sometimes because of the fog, the lowlands twitch with a light haze. But it also happens in a different way. Sometimes the unpredictable temper of nature is fully manifested. This happens mainly when a typhoon strayed from the Philippines comes here.

Hanoi Nha Trang Phu Quoc Phan Thiet Ho Chi Minh City Hue

Why deluded? Because, at this time, it is mainly the central regions with coastal cities that are attacked by him. Inseparable in all weather forecasts, the "trinity" - Da Nang, Hue and Hoi An - is experiencing the most unfavorable time of the year. Destructive winds often rage here, accompanied by heavy rains (almost two-thirds of the month), which often lead to serious floods. Settlements and fields are at the mercy of huge flows of water. This, for example, turned out to be 2013: the violence of Typhoon Haiyan is still remembered by the Vietnamese. But such chaos does not always reign. Often between turbulent periods there are breaks without snowstorms, downpours and giant waves. In general, without any ups and downs that prevent the reception of sea baths. At noon, the air heats up to +27..+28 °C. Evenings remain quite warm - +21..+23 °C, so long sleeves are not needed here. They will also be an extra load in your suitcase in the south, where a truly summer weather situation persists. In Mui Ne and Nha Trang, up to +29 °C is expected during the day, and at least +23 °C after sunset. It is unlikely that you will be able to enjoy a good rest at these resorts, since it will occasionally be overshadowed by intense rainfall. Yes, and typhoons sometimes come here. It is better to give preference to the neighboring Phan Thiet, Vung Tau or the island of Phu Quoc. Although the heat there is perceived much “sharper” (up to +32 ° C), it is drier and there is some kind of stability.

What to do in Vietnam in November?

Despite all this colorful weather symbiosis, a November vacation in Vietnam can be bright and memorable. Due to the fact that the northern part of the country got rid of annoying mosquitoes, stuffiness and heat, it will finally be possible to explore it without any haste and fuss. And there is something to see there: a truly impressive number of attractions declared by UNESCO world heritage humanity. We are no longer talking about natural creations that are breathtaking. November also contributes to sports pastime - mastering surfing, scuba diving, paragliding, viewing the area on bicycles or ATVs.

beach holiday

First of all, people go to Vietnam in the late autumn to properly fry in the rays of the passionate southern sun. A wide coastline covered with the finest "platinum" sand with warm turquoise waters flowing on it, slender rows of tall palm trees and picturesque landscapes that appear to the eye - all this was created by the "hands" of mother nature. The enterprising Vietnamese only supplemented this splendor with an excellently developed infrastructure, a wide range of entertainment and high-quality service, thanks to which the local beaches acquired thousands of their fans. As mentioned above, the most successful resorts for swimming and sunbathing are located in the south. The sea water temperature here is kept at +26..+27 °C. Be prepared for the fact that the South China Sea will meet you not with an idyllic smooth surface, but with a hefty surf.

Of course, somewhere he is stronger, and somewhere, on the contrary, weaker. I must admit, this is a great alternative to anti-cellulite massage, and even free! Surfers who are eager to plunge headlong into the speed and beauty of the sea are advised to go to Phan Thiet, Mui Ne

Or Phu Quoc. The latter also opens the diving season. Amazing conditions are created there for observing cold-blooded animals. On other diving sites, it is better to wait: the turbidity of the waters adds to the ghostly movement of the fish.

Entertainment and excursions

Vietnam is an amazing place Earth Globe, promising a lot of new discoveries and a bunch of unforgettable experiences. Excursion tourism here received great development. The number of educational programs offered amazes even experienced travelers. Since the bulk of the objects of tourist display are focused in the northern regions of the country, and the weather is amazing there, it is more expedient to start your acquaintance with it from there.

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Chua Mot Cat Pagoda, Lake of the Returned Sword with Tap Ryu Tower (be sure to watch the puppet theater performance played on it), Le Mat snake village, the old French quarter with shopping centers, offices and the opera house - only a small part of the "must see" of the capital. Be sure to visit Halong Bay. This is an emerald chain of islands (each of them with its own legend), scattered across the blue expanses of the bay. You can swim on them (however, already at +20..+22 °C), admire the surrounding landscapes and taste sea delicacies. Fans of excursions with the tag "ethno" are recommended to visit the town of Sapa, where rare tribes and nationalities live. The surrounding area is famous for its magnificent waterfalls, caves and bizarre stone statues. Of this kind of wonders, the Marble Mountains and the Mekong River Valley with an extensive network of man-made canals also deserve attention, allowing you to learn the intricacies of rural life in Vietnam during boat trips on sampan boats. Bad weather is great for shopping and having fun in SPA-complexes.

Climate

It should be noted right away that the climate of the northern part of Vietnam is different from the southern one. And if you describe the climate, here is the weather in Vietnam in November:

The waves are often very high. But still periodically come quiet solar periods. At this time, you can soak up the beach and sunbathe.

In Da Nang there are city beaches. But they are not very popular among foreign tourists. Mostly locals spend their time here. But in the vicinity of the city there are recreation areas with all the necessary tourist infrastructure. The quality of service here is very high, but the price is appropriate. Prices for hotel accommodation start from three, four hundred dollars per day. In general, the most wealthy tourists rest here.

There is also a beach in Nha Trang, on which there are practically no waves, since breakwaters work there. This is something like a large natural pool. So if the water temperature allows, then this will be a great option for tourists with children.

Halog bay

For those who like to admire the beauties in the central part of Vietnam, there is Ha Long Bay. There is something to do here regardless of the weather. You can spend several days traveling on a cruise ship and viewing the local beauty. Go on a tour of the caves. Phan Thiet

Phan Thiet is a relatively inexpensive resort. The main part of the hotels are cottages on two or three floors, which are located along the sea coast. The beaches here do not resemble anthills. Phan Thiet will be a great option for a family holiday. Large-scale events are not often held here. The rhythm of life is more moderate and unhurried, the prices are quite loyal.

There are no outstanding sights nearby. Therefore, Fantier is primarily for those who like to swim in the warm sea, lie on the beach and enjoy the pleasant sea breeze.

Condao

For lovers of quieter rest is suitable Condao island. This is one of the southernmost resorts in the country. The number of tourists here, as a rule, is less in comparison with other, more popular resorts.

Accommodation prices here are quite low. One of the most affordable hotels not only in Con Dao, but in the entire Southern region is Thien Tan Hotel. As you probably already know, the climate in this Asian region is quite variable and differs in different parts of it. In November at northern regions In Vietnam, the first signs of winter appear, and it rains systematically at this time of the year. Of the pleasant moments, it is worth noting that the sun continues to pamper tourists with its presence. The average air temperature ranges from 15 to 23 degrees. Accordingly, if you see the swimming season as the main purpose of your visit to this country, you should opt for other resorts. The only exceptions are such resorts as Nghe An and Ha Tinh, on the coast of which you can still spend several weeks basking in the sun.

The resort of Hanoi is not worth choosing for a trip, because very often in November there is a huge amount of precipitation. This is due to the proximity of the Philippines, from which typhoons often enter the region. A good option would be the town of Halong, on the territory of which the weather is sunny throughout the month and there is not much rainfall. The air warms up to 22 degrees, and only occasionally clouds appear in the sky. At the same time, you should not hope that you will be able to spend a full-fledged swimming season. But to look at local attractions - you are always welcome!

Weather in the central region

The middle part of Vietnam in November is completely covered by heavy rains. Only during this month, up to 600 mm of precipitation falls in this area, and in the mountainous parts this figure is even higher. Floods often occur here. Although, for the sake of justice, it is worth noting that in the intervals between showers, it keeps very comfortable weather. The air temperature often rises above 25 degrees, and the water warms up well. This gives everyone the opportunity to have a good time on the coast.

Weather in the south of the country

AT southern regions Vietnam at the end of autumn is the beginning of the swimming season. The rainy season gives way to a comfortable dry period, the temperature of air and water rises to 29 and 28 degrees, respectively. Although the risk of typhoons should not be completely ruled out.

Holidays in Nha Trang can be spoiled by typhoons and floods. It's connected with geographic location resort, which is located in close proximity to the central regions of the country. Rains here, although they happen less often and have an average intensity, can still “tarnish” the reputation of the resort town. The water often becomes cloudy due to passing storms, and garbage, clay, etc. are thrown onto the coast.

But it’s better to relax on the coast of the resort of Mui Ne or Phan Thiet, on the territory of which the least amount of precipitation falls, and storms are very rare here. The air temperature reaches 30 degrees Celsius, and sea water is angry up to 27 degrees. Accordingly, it is these cities that numerous tourists choose to spend their holidays.

Even better, you can relax in the resorts of Ho Chi Minh City and Fukuoka. This is where the full dry season begins in November. On the coast you can see a huge number of beach lovers. Precipitation in November is very rare here, although there are exceptions.

As you can see, the weather in Vietnam in November is different in different regions of the country. Therefore, it is worth planning your trip with a calendar and taking into account the peculiarities of the local climate.

November weather in southern Vietnam

☂ ☀ In the south of Vietnam, November is a transitional month from the wet to the dry season. The amount of rain is significantly reduced compared to October. The weather is warm, calm, but the arrival of typhoons is not excluded at all. Average air temperature is 24-29 °C, water temperature is 25-28 °C.

In the dunes near Mui Ne resort in November

November is the worst month in Nha Trang (as well as the first half of December). Of course, this does not compare with the November of central Vietnam, but compared with the rest of South Vietnam it's worse here. All this is due to the fact that Nha Trang, of all the resorts in the south, is closest to central Vietnam with its November typhoons and floods.
The rains are of moderate intensity. Monthly precipitation (250-280 mm) is about the same as the previous month. The number of rainy days is 16-18. Air temperature 24-29 °С (night-day), water temperature 25-26 °С.
Quite often it storms. The frequency of storms and typhoons in different years different. In addition, the rivers carry sand and clay into the coastal strip of the sea, the water becomes muddy. But, even in the worst year, the sun often shines between periods of stormy weather and rainy days, and the sea is calm.

It is worth looking at the November weather in Nha Trang in more detail, by decades over the past two years.
November 2015 and November 2016 in Nha Trang, as always, were the rainiest and wet months in a year. It was warm at night, moderately hot during the day. Compared to the Octobers of the indicated years, the daytime temperature dropped by a couple of degrees, and in 2016 it was a couple of degrees cooler during the day as well. Compared to October, the air humidity also slightly increased.
In 2015, the wind was light to moderate. The exception was the day of November 21, when the wind speed reached 166 km/h. In 2016, the wind was from light to moderate, occasionally to strong; there was a calm.
Further, in decades, the air temperature at night and day, as well as the average air humidity and rainfall. Early for November 2015.
1st decade: at night it was 23-25 °C, in the daytime 25-31 °C, humidity 82%, 8 days with rain, 3 of them with thunderstorms.
2nd decade: at night it was 24-26 °С, in the daytime 29-31 °С, humidity 77%, 7 days with rain.
3rd decade: at night it was 23-25 °C, in the daytime 25-30 °C, humidity 83%, 9 days with rain, 1 of them with a thunderstorm.
Now for 2016, by decades, the air temperature at night and during the day, as well as the average air humidity and rainfall.

2nd decade: at night it was 24-25 °C, in the daytime 27-31 °C, humidity 78%, 4 days with rain.
3rd decade: at night it was 22-26 °С, in the daytime 29-30 °С, humidity 75%, 2 days with rain.
Thus, in November 2016, the air humidity in this resort city was almost the same as in November 2015. The air temperature was slightly higher. There were almost half as many days with rains, and there were no thunderstorms at all. It was less windy.
Further, for 2017 for decades, the same data.
1st decade: at night it was 22-26 °C, during the day 25-30 °C, humidity 80%. 7 days with rain, one of them with a heavy downpour.
2nd decade: at night it was 23-26 °C, in the daytime 27-31 °C, humidity 80%. 3 days with rain, two of them with heavy rain.
3rd decade: at night it was 24-26 °C, during the day 27-30 °C, humidity 78%. 6 days with rain, one of them - with heavy.
The temperature background and air humidity were approximately the same as in the previous two years.

The weather in Mui Ne and Phan Thiet in November differs in temperature and precipitation from the weather in Nha Trang in the direction of less precipitation, and storms are much less frequent here. The air temperature is 24-32 °C (night-day). Sea water temperature 27 °C. The number of hours of sunshine per day is 4, along with October, this is the lowest figure of the year. But, and the number of rainy days is relatively small 8-10.

If we take a closer look at the weather in Mui Ne / Phan Thiet and compare it with Nha Trang, then the picture for 2015-16. next.
November 2015 by decade. Humidity is indicated as average.
1st decade: at night it was 24-25 °С, in the daytime 29-32 °С, humidity 75%, 3 days with rain.
2nd decade: at night it was 24-25 °С, in the daytime 31-33 °С, humidity 71%, 1 day with rain.
3rd decade: at night it was 24-25 °С, in the daytime 29-33 °С, humidity 70%, 2 days with rain.
It can be seen that the night temperature in Mui Ne / Phan Thiet was almost the same as during this period in Nha Trang, but it was a little hotter during the day. The days with rain were much less. The air was drier.
November 2016 by decade. Humidity is indicated as average.

Weather in November in the middle part of Vietnam

☂ In central (middle) Vietnam, November is the rainiest month. The monthly amount of precipitation in the form of rain is more than 600 mm, and even more in the mountains. Rain is brought by typhoons. A typhoon is a cyclone of great depth with strong wind and rain. Heavy rains cause floods. In November 2013, Typhoon Haiyan brought heavy rains and floods as usual, but its strength in this area was even less than in other years.

The average air temperature this month is 20-25 °C. It gets hot during the day. Water temperature - 25-26 °C. After the passage of strong typhoons, a few more days of field and settlements are flooded with water. The sea water is cloudy. When there are no wind waves, the surf from the swell remains for some time (residual waves of large length). In those years when typhoons pass here less often than usual, in November it is quite comfortable to swim in the sea in the “windows” between them because the water in the sea is warm, there is no wind, rain and surf.

In Da Nang and Hoi An, the air temperature is usually in the range of 22-27 ° C, with an average of 24 ° C. The most low temperature November air for the entire observation period here was 7 °C, the highest 35 °C. The amount of precipitation is 370 mm. Air humidity 84%. Less than 5 hours of sunshine per day. Sea water temperature 26-27 °C.

The swimming season is over for the most part. However, in the provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh, it is still comfortable to swim in the sea in November.

In Hanoi total precipitation in November in some years can be almost zero, while in others it can reach 250 mm. Such an anomaly is due to occasional typhoons wandering here from the Philippines. Usually they go through central Vietnam, less often through the Gulf of Tonkin. Their strength in Vietnam is already the same as in the Philippines. Usually, this indicator is in the region of about 50 mm. Air humidity 74%. The number of rainy days (more than 5 mm per day) is 0-6.
Temperature range 18-25 °C, average temperature 22°C. The lowest air temperature in November for the entire observation period here was 10 °C, the highest 35 °C.

Throughout November, the coast of northern Vietnam, including Halong Bay, has clear, sunny weather. Sometimes the sky is covered with a light haze. The water temperature is kept within 20-22 °C.
As a rule, there is no longer a comfortable swimming season in Halong Bay in November. Tourists during this period travel to Halong in order to admire the views of this natural wonder light and weather favor this type of recreation. But, it happens that in warm years swimming in the bay in November is still quite comfortable.
