For women whose dream is Philip Kirkorov, his personal biography will seem unnecessarily modest. His first relationship began in 1988 with graceful dancer Maria Shatlanova. Philip Bedrosovich Kirkorov (Bulgarian Philip Bedrosov Kirkorov; April 30, 1967, Varna, NRB) is a Soviet and Russian pop singer, composer and producer. People's Artist of Russia (2008).

Eight-time winner of the Ovation award, five-time winner of the World Music Awards as the most popular performer in Russia, multiple winner of the Golden Gramophone, One Stop Hit, Silver Galosh awards, laureate of the annual Song of the Year festival. At the Kinotavr Film Festival in 2002, Kirkorov won the Best Actor nomination for his role in the musical Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka.

Biography

From the age of five, he went on tour with his parents. As a child he lived in Moscow. It is believed that for the first time Kirkorov entered the stage at the age of 5. Philip was present at the concert of his father, B. Kirkorov, in the theater of Petrozavodsk. Bedros sang his autobiographical song "Son", dedicated to Soviet tankers whom he met in 1944 in Varna. At the end of the song, Philip went on stage and presented his father with a carnation, after which Bedros introduced him to the audience and the first applause in Philip's life was heard.

He graduated from school number 413 with a gold medal. After school, he tried to enter the Theater Institute, but failed in the exams.

1985-1989: Early career

November 1985 - the first television shooting in the program "Wider Circle" with the song "Alyosha" in Bulgarian.
In the “Wider Circle” program, Kirkorov was noticed by the director of the Blue Light, S. I. Anapolskaya, and invited him to act. The leadership of "Ogonyok" refused this shooting, arguing "He's too handsome." Anapolskaya writes one statement to the editor-in-chief that if she is not allowed to film F. Kirkorov in Ogonyok, then she will not film this program. And the second statement is that if she does not shoot "Spark", then she asks to be released from work.

1987 - an invitation to work from the "Leningrad Music Hall" under the direction of I. Rakhlin, a foreign tour to Berlin in the world famous show theater Friedrichstadtpalast. Leaving the music hall, Philip met the songwriter I. Reznik, who became one of the first professionals to help him.

April 1988 - the first meeting of A. Pugacheva and F. Kirkorov at the opening day of I. Reznik. In October 1988, Philip received an invitation from her to take part in the first "Christmas Meetings". By this time, Kirkorov graduated from the Gnessin School, successfully performed in Yalta at the first competition in his life, shot the first video for the song "Carmen" and held free concerts in Mongolia in Soviet military units

In preparation for the "Christmas Meetings", the singer met with the poet L. Derbenev, who later wrote songs for Kirkorov that became hits: "You, you, you", "Heaven and Earth", "Atlantis", "Day and Night" and a lot others.

1989 - tour as a partner of A. Pugacheva in Australia and Germany, the first solo tour in Perm. In the same year, Kirkorov reached the final of the Song of the Year festival for the first time.

1990s: Rise in popularity

1990 - Grand Prix at the Schlager-90 competition in Leningrad with the song "Heaven and Earth".

1992 - a video clip for the song of the composer A. Lukyanov "Atlantis" was recognized as the best clip of the year. The singer released two solo programs - "Heaven and Earth" and "Atlantis"; the latter was subsequently voted the best show of the year. In the same years, Kirkorov's first tour took place in the USA, Canada, Germany and Israel.

1993 - the Ovation award in the nomination "The Best Singer of the Year" and the award of the Golden Orpheus international competition. At the same time, there were successful tours in Australia.

1994 - the release of the solo program "I'm not Raphael", the main part of which was hits from the repertoire of E. Humperdinck, T. Jones, F. Sinatra, P. Anka and E. Presley. Recording of the song "I raise my glass." In November 1994, Kirkorov and Pugacheva held a joint grand concert in Atlantic City, in America's largest casino, the Taj Mahal, and in May of the following year they made a joint concert tour of Israel. Participated in the Rush Hour program with V. Listyev on July 18, 1994 and with A. Razbash on February 20, 1997, together with A. Pugacheva.

In 1995, Kirkorov received 2 more Ovation awards - “For the best program” and “Best Singer”, shot video clips of 3 hits - “Bird”, “Look what a summer” and “Honey”. Unexpectedly, a week before the international Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, Philip found out that he would represent Russia in this contest; took only 17th place on it with the song "Lullaby for the Volcano". Participated in Valdis Pelsh's Guess the Melody program together with Igor Nikolaev and Laima Vaikule.

The end of 1995 - the release of the double CD "Say the sun:" Yes! "" on the label "Polygram". The release of the album coincided with the premiere of the program "The Best, Favorite and Only for You" at the State Variety Theater, which was then successfully held throughout the country.
1996 - World Music Awards (World Music Awards) in Monte Carlo for a record circulation among Russian performers (2 million sound carriers). Joint performances

F. Kirkorov has more than 150 duets, trios and other joint performances with various performers in his repertoire. More than 36 of them were published on some of the artist's albums and DVDs with his solo concerts. The most famous of them to the public are with M. Rasputina, A. Netrebko, A. Pugacheva, A. Stotskaya, S. Rouvas. Most of Kirkorov's joint songs have not been published. Many of them exist only in "live" sound, not recorded in the studio.

The first duet of F. Kirkorov was the song "Alyosha", performed with his father, singer Bedros Kirkorov in the program "Sing, friends!" 1985. On May 17, 2000, at a solo concert in Kyiv, Kirkorov first performed 2 duets with Dana International. In 2000, a duet with Lou Bega held a joint concert "Mambo in the style of Hit-FM".

In 2004, Kirkorov published a special album "Duets", where he selected 21 joint compositions. Five duets of Kirkorov received various Russian awards. Duets with M. Rasputina and A. Netrebko were recognized [by whom?] as the best duets of the year in 2003 and 2011, respectively.
Eurovision

F. Kirkorov is called "Mister Eurovision". He participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1995 as a representative of Russia, placing 17th. After that, he decided to become a producer and composer of songs for Eurovision participants from other CIS countries. The first experience as a producer was not very successful: the singer Anzhelika Agurbash at Eurovision 2005 took only 13th place in the semi-finals. At the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, Kirkorov wrote a song for D. Koldun, who represented Belarus, and was preparing his performance at the contest. The sorcerer for the first time in the history of Belarus' participation in the competition went to the final of the competition and took 6th place.

In 2008, Kirkorov wrote the song "Shady Lady" for the representative of Ukraine Ani Lorak, which eventually took 2nd place. After that, on May 30, 2008, President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko awarded Kirkorov the title of People's Artist of Ukraine "for significant personal contribution in the development of cultural and artistic ties of Ukraine and Russian Federation, high performing skills and many years of fruitful creative activity.

In 2009, Kirkorov was considered as one of the candidates for the role of the host of the Eurovision Song Contest, which eventually became Andrey Malakhov. Kirkorov headed the professional Russian jury of the competition, but a day before the final, the artist announced his withdrawal from the jury. The singer thus tried to prevent possible accusations of bias. “I take too active part in the life of the competition, and I have many years of friendly relations with some of the contestants,” the singer said.

Scandals
Insulting journalist Irina Aroyan

On May 20, 2004, at a press conference in Rostov-on-Don, shortly after a question from Gazeta Dona journalist Irina Aroyan, “What is the reason for such a large number of remakes in your repertoire?”, the singer insulted the journalist using obscene words. Aroyan filed a lawsuit, which found the singer guilty under Part 2 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (insult in a public place) and sentenced Kirkorov to pay a fine of 60 thousand rubles.
Attack on Marina Yablokova

On December 6, 2010, between Philip Kirkorov and the assistant to the chief director of the Golden Gramophone ceremony, Marina Yablokova, there was a verbal skirmish, after which the singer slapped Yablokova in the face, pulled her hair and kicked her. Yablokova filed an application with the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department to initiate a criminal case under the articles “insult” (part 1 of article 130) and “infliction of light bodily harm” (part 1 of article 115).

F. Kirkorov: “The reaction of some media is an absolute and deliberate lie. I didn’t kick her or make her disabled.” Anna Netrebko, who was present at the rehearsal: “This girl is lying for some reason, it’s not clear why.” Witnesses to the incident clarify what happened at the rehearsal. The organizer of the award "Russian Radio" published "Clarification on the conflict between F. Kirkorov and M. Yablokova."

In an interview with Ksenia Sobchak in the program “Sobchak Live” on the Dozhd TV channel, Kirkorov admitted that Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of Vladimir Putin, provided him with assistance in settling relations with the media.

On December 8, Kirkorov was hospitalized in the psychiatric department of the Israeli medical center“Sheba” (Tel Hashomer Hospital), from where on December 10 in the program “Let them talk” publicly apologized to Yablokova, explained his behavior as a “serious illness”, the attacks of which the singer “suffers twice a year and which is accompanied by unconsciousness”. “Yes, I raised my hand. I offended. But I didn't do what I'm credited with." On December 12, on the Central Television program, after the host announced that there was a video recording of the incident, Yablokova reports that Kirkorov did not drag her by the hair. Yablokova's lawyer asks not to make the video public. On December 13, Kirkorov's lawyer announced a possible appeal to law enforcement about the slander directed against Kirkorov. On December 15, a criminal case was opened. Kirkorov was recognized as a defendant, Yablokova as a private prosecutor and a victim.

On December 16, F. Kirkorov and M. Yablokova entered into an amicable agreement. On December 22, the world court held a meeting to consider the issue of its approval.
