In what program do the letterhead. Letterhead and seal of the organization - samples for LLC

Many companies and organizations spend a lot of money to create branded paper with a unique design, not even realizing that you can make a letterhead yourself. It will not take much time, and to create you will need only one program, which is already used in every office. Of course, we are talking about Microsoft Office word.

Using Microsoft's extensive text editor toolset, you can quickly create a unique design and then use it as the basis for any stationery. Below we will talk about two ways in which you can make a letterhead in Word.

Nothing prevents you from immediately starting to work in the program, but it will be much better if you sketch out an approximate view of the heading of the form on a piece of paper, armed with a pen or pencil. This will allow you to see how the elements included in the form will be combined with each other. When creating a sketch, the following nuances must be taken into account:

  • Leave enough space for the logo, company name, address, and other contact information;
  • Consider adding a company slogan to your letterhead. This idea is especially good when the main activity or service provided by the company is not listed on the form itself.

Creating a Form Manually

MS Word has everything you need to create a letterhead in general and recreate the sketch you created on paper in particular.

1. Run Word and select in the section "Create" standard "New document".

Note: Already at this stage, you can save the still empty document to a convenient place on your hard drive. To do this, select "Save as" and give the file a name, for example, "Lumpics Site Blank". Even if you do not always have time to save the document in time as you work, thanks to the function "Autosave" this will happen automatically after a set period of time.

2. Insert a header and footer into the document. To do this, in the tab "Insert" press the button "Running title", select an item "Page header", and then choose a template header that suits you.

3. Now you need to transfer everything that you sketched on paper into the body of the footer. To get started, specify the following parameters there:

  • The name of your company or organization;
  • Website address (if any and it is not indicated in the name / logo of the company);
  • Contact phone and fax number;
  • Address Email.

It is important that each data parameter (item) starts on a new line. So, after entering the name of the company, click "ENTER", do the same after the phone number, fax number, etc. This will allow you to place all the elements in a beautiful and even column, the formatting of which still needs to be adjusted.

For each item in this block, select the appropriate font, size, and color.

Note: Colors should be in harmony and blend well with each other. The font size of the company name must be at least two units larger than the font size for contact information. The latter, by the way, can be highlighted in a different color. It is equally important that all these elements harmonize in color with the logo that we are about to add.

4. Add a company logo image to the header area. To do this, without leaving the header area, in the tab "Insert" press the button "Picture" and open the appropriate file.

5. Set the appropriate size and position for the logo. It should be “conspicuous”, but not large, and, no less important, it should be well combined with the text indicated in the header of the form.

    Advice: To make it easier to move the logo and resize it near the border of the header, set its position "Before the text" by clicking on the button "Layout Options", located to the right of the area in which the object is located.

To move the logo, click on it to highlight it, then drag to Right place footer.

Note: In our example, the text block is on the left, the logo is on the right side of the header. You can place these elements differently if you wish. And yet, they should not be scattered around.

To change the size of the logo, move the cursor over one of the corners of its frame. After it transforms into a marker, drag it in the direction you want to resize it.

Note: When resizing the logo, try not to move its vertical and horizontal edges - instead of the reduction or increase you need, this will make it asymmetric.

Try to choose a logo size that matches the total volume of all text elements that are also located in the header.

6. As needed, you can add other visual elements to your letterhead. For example, in order to separate the contents of the header from the rest of the page, you can draw a solid line along the bottom edge of the header from the left to the right edge of the sheet.

Note: Remember that the line, both in color and in size (width) and appearance, must be combined with the text in the header and the company logo.

7. In the footer, you can (or even need to) place some useful information about the firm or organization to which this form belongs. Not only will this visually balance the header and footer of the form, but it will also provide additional information about you to someone who is getting to know the company for the first time.

    Advice: In the footer, you can specify the company motto, if there is one, of course, phone number, field of activity, etc.

To add and change a footer, do the following:

Note: The company motto is best written in italics. In some cases, it is better to write this part in capital letters, or simply highlight the first letters of important words.

8. If necessary, you can add a signature line to the form, or even the signature itself. If your form's footer contains text, the signature line should be above it.

    Advice: To exit the header and footer mode, press the key "ESC" or double click on an empty area of the page.

9. Save the letterhead you've created by previewing it.

10. Print the form on the printer to see how it will look live. Perhaps you already have where to apply it.

Create a form from a template

We have already mentioned that in Microsoft Word there is a very large set of built-in templates. Among them, you can find those that will serve as a good basis for a letterhead. In addition, you can create a template for permanent use in this program yourself.

1. Open MS Word and in the section "Create" in the search bar enter "Blanks".

2. In the list on the left, select the appropriate category, for example, "Business".

3. Select the appropriate form, click on it and press "Create".

Note: Some of the templates presented in Word are integrated directly into the program, but some of them, although displayed, are loaded from the official site. In addition, directly on the site you will be able to find a huge selection of templates that are not presented in the MS Word editor window.

4. The form you have chosen will open in a new window. Now you can change it and customize all the elements for yourself, in the same way as it was written in the previous section of the article.

Enter the name of the company, indicate the website address, contact details, do not forget to place a logo on the letterhead. Also, it will not be superfluous to indicate the motto of the company.

Save the letterhead on your hard drive. If necessary, print it out. In addition, you can always refer to the electronic version of the form, filling it out according to the requirements put forward.

Now you know that to create a letterhead it is by no means necessary to go to the printing house and spend a lot of money. It is quite possible to make a beautiful and recognizable letterhead on your own, especially if you make full use of the capabilities of Microsoft Word.

Sketch out the header for the letterhead. Sketching out the rough look of the hat on paper is a great way to see how the elements fit together. Just draw (in in general terms) your future letterhead on a white sheet of paper.

  • Make sure you leave enough space for the company logo, company name, address, and other contact information.
  • Would you like to add your company slogan to the form? it great idea in the event that the main product or service provided by your company is not listed on the form.

Launch Microsoft Word. Microsoft Word has it all necessary tools for creating excellent sample. It will be enough for you to simply recreate what you have drawn on paper.

Open new document and save it as a template. Name it "Blank Sample 1" or something like that. In the future, this will help you quickly find it and save it in your samples folder. Thus, you can quickly lift the document and print the letterhead at the right time.

Insert header. If you are working in Word 2007, click on the "Insert" menu and "Headers and Footers". Create a footer that will good background for the header.

  • If you are working in Word 2003, you will see the header and footer by selecting the Header and Footer command from the View menu. By default, a box bounded by a dotted line will immediately open to create a header and footer.
  • Enter the text for the heading of the form. In the text box, enter the company name, address, phone and fax numbers, website, and email address for general inquiries.

    • Each time you enter the next line of data, press the Enter key. Thus, all elements will be placed in beautiful rows in a column.
    • You can omit the site address if it is included in your logo.
    • For each element, check the fonts, sizes, and colors. It is better to make the font for the company name two units larger than the address, and also highlight it in a different color. It is highly desirable that the font, size and color of the company name be in harmony with the logo on the letterhead. Phone and fax numbers, as well as an e-mail address, must be typed in the same font as the address, but two units less.
  • Add a logo to the header. To do this, select "Picture" in the "Insert" tab. View a digital copy of the logo, select a .jpg, .bmp, or .png file, and click the Insert button.

  • Choose the size and location of the logo. It should be clearly visible and look harmonious with the text of the heading of the form.

    • Hover over one of the corners of the logo. It transforms into a resize handle. Click on one of the corners and at the same time drag it to the side to zoom in or out.
    • Adjust the size of the logo in the upper left corner of the footer to balance the text information.
    • You can move the logo in this way: click on the image to select it, then click and drag at the same time to the desired location.
  • Consider adding other visual elements. For example, you can visually separate company information from the rest of the page by adding a solid line from the left to right edge of the page at the footer.

    • To do this, click on the arrow at the bottom of the "Shapes" button in the "Insert" tab and select the very first line in the "Lines" menu. To draw a line, click and drag.
    • Right click on the line and select the color and line width to emphasize the logo. Use the Format AutoShape dialog box. Select the Center button on the View tab.
    • Right-click on the line again and make a copy of it. Paste a copy of the line into the document.

We determine the font size approximately as follows - if the main text of the message is typed in 12 pt, then 16 pt is suitable for the title, if the main text is 14, then the title is 18.

    Step 2

    We place the official data of the company and the details of the TIN / KPP. This information is placed on one line. Immediately under no, you can give the PSRN number. The font size with which these data are typed is 8-10.

    Step 3

    We place bank details, current account and correspondent account, name and BIC of the bank.

    Step 4

    We place the contact details of your company: phone numbers with the area code, mailing address with an index, email and the address of a page or site on the Internet.

    When you're done entering data, don't forget to separate the header from the body text with one solid line.
