The project method in teaching preschoolers is preparatory stage for children to go to school. The main goal of the design method in kindergarten is the development of free creative personality. It gives the child the opportunity to synthesize the acquired knowledge, develop creative abilities and communication skills, which allows him to successfully adapt to the changed situation of schooling.

For children of older preschool age, it is advisable to single out cognitive- research activities, directly aimed at comprehending the structure of the world (things, phenomena that are in certain relationships and connections), streamlining, systematizing ideas about the environment.

The origins of cognitive research activity are found in the free experimentation with objects and phenomena characteristic of a preschooler, in search activity that answers the questions: why? why? how is the world? Why should we take care of the environment?

Satisfying his curiosity in the process of active cognitive research activity, the child, on the one hand, expands his ideas about the world, on the other hand, he begins to master the fundamental cultural forms of cognition - the means of differentiating and ordering experience: cause-and-effect, spatial and temporal relationships that allow connecting individual representations of a holistic picture of the world. In addition, cognitive research activity develops his attention, thinking, speech, arouses interest in the world around him, forms the ability to make discoveries and be surprised by them, and also improves such necessary later life qualities like observation, diligence, accuracy.

Our project "Underwater World" began with the children's question about why they began to bring water from the store to the group for drinking, why can't they drink water from the tap? Where does the tap water come from and why does it never run out? Where does the dirty water that we pour down the sink go?

After talking about water, how water enters houses, how a person pollutes water bodies, and how water is cleaned for drinking, the children thought about the fact that their inhabitants suffer from pollution of water bodies. A problem arose: how can people help underwater inhabitants?

The environmental issue is one of the most important modern world. The future of mankind depends on the level ecological culture each person, his competent, active position in solving urgent problems. Therefore, it is important to lay the foundations of ecological culture in preschool childhood, when children learn about the world, emotionally respond to the troubles that occur in nature and around them.

Objective of the project: to introduce children to one of the components of nature - water, without which life on planet Earth is impossible, to form a conscious, careful attitude to water as an important natural resource.

Project type: research and creative, medium duration (1 month), integrated.

Project objectives:

 • clarify children's knowledge about water, its basic properties, significance in the life of living beings, clarify children's knowledge about the class of fish, deepen their understanding of the reservoir as a habitat for fish, clarify the idea of the living conditions of aquarium fish;
 • encourage children to compare, search for similarities and differences, connections between things and phenomena, verbal analysis-reasoning, develop observation skills, the ability to use evidence and defend their point of view;
 • to develop the cognitive initiative of preschoolers (curiosity), independent research activities through partnership with an adult;
 • to expand the horizons of the child, taking him beyond the limits of direct practical experience into a wider spatial and temporal perspective;
 • arouse interest in the life of fish, a desire to learn more about them, cultivate a desire to care for aquarium fish.

Stages:

 1. Drawing up a plan - a scheme of the project.
 2. Immersion in the project (Appendix 1, 2, 3).
 3. Practical part(album "Water element", children's drawings, compendium complex lesson"Rivers, rivers and seas").
 4. Presentation of the project (Appendix 4, composition "Seabed").

At the first stage, we drew up a project plan. To this end, the following questions were discussed with the children:

 • What knowledge will help in solving the problem?
 • How can this knowledge be obtained?
 • What can be done to solve this problem.

The task of the teacher at this stage is to unobtrusively guide the work of children:

 • help to choose the most relevant and feasible task for children for a certain period of time;
 • suggest what items and accessories can be used;
 • plan what activities, games and other activities for children can be included in the project plan.

During the discussion, the children suggested various options activities, games, activities that will answer the questions that interest us. All proposals of the children were drawn up in the form of a plan-scheme.

Results of the project "Underwater World".

By the end of the "Underwater World" project, the children of the preparatory group learned:

 • that water in nature exists in various forms: reservoirs, precipitation (rain, snow, hail, dew), icicle, cloud, etc.;
 • the main properties of water are liquid, transparent, colorless, odorless and tasteless, dissolves some substances, has density, pressure;
 • water in nature can pass from one state to another (ice - water - steam), there is a water cycle in nature;
 • there are causes of water pollution, the simplest ways to clean it;
 • how animals and plants adapted to live in water, learned the classification of fish, habitat, their structure, habits, nutrition, the difference between marine and river inhabitants.
 • independently explain the connection of facts (they use simple causal reasoning because: objects are visible in the water, because the water is transparent);
 • independently establish the simplest cause-and-effect relationships and relationships (if ..., then ...: if it is cold outside, then the water freezes; if the water is well cleaned, then it can be drunk);
 • do the simplest experiments according to a verbal description or according to a model; at the end of the experience, draw appropriate conclusions;
 • notice changes in the aquarium that worsen the life of its inhabitants, take care of aquarium fish.

The children in our group began to pay attention to whether the faucet was closed well, and if they notice that water is dripping from the faucet, they report it to adults. We also noticed that children began to pour less water to drink, explaining this by the fact that they did not want to pour the remaining water into the sink.

With great interest, the children began to be on duty in a corner of nature: they are careful when watering flowers, they try not to spill water from a watering can. They carefully monitor aquarium fish, came up with a name for each fish.

Independently conduct simple experiments, tell each other the results of these experiments. They bring new books about rivers, seas, oceans, sea voyages to the group, look at the pictures with pleasure, share their impressions of what they saw.

At the end of the project, the children had a question about what and who else needs people's help, what needs to be done to make our planet Earth better, cleaner. Therefore, we decided to learn more about the life of animals, birds, plants. These topics will become the topics of new projects.

Attachment 1.

Mobile games, etudes.

1. Outdoor game "Carp and pike". One child is chosen as a pike, the rest are divided into “pebbles” and “carp”, which swim inside the circle. At the signal "pike" - she runs into the circle, trying to catch carp. And the “carp” are in a hurry to hide behind the “pebbles”. Caught by “pike”, “carp” leave the circle. The game is repeated with another pike.

2. The game of low mobility "Brook". Children stand in pairs one after another, hold hands and raise them, forming a collar. One child - the leader goes into the gate and chooses any player from the pair, leads him to the end of the corridor. The child left without a couple becomes the leader.

3. Game - modeling “We are droplets”. Distribute paper crowns with droplets to the children. The teacher puts on the same crown with a cloud pattern - mothers, and her children are droplets. The guys surround the mother-cloud, lead a round dance around her. Then she lets them go for a walk on the ground, instructs them to water the plants, wash the ground and return back. Children scatter to the sides, then gather together, stand one after another, forming streams. Then, at the command of the teacher, the streams are connected together, forming a river. The river flows into the ocean (children make a wide circle). Mama cloud reminds them that they are droplets, calls them home. Children circle, one by one they return to the cloud. The circle is closed.

4. Etude "The sea is worried." Purpose: to expand the content of the game, develop imagination, creativity, plasticity of movements.

5. Sketch "In the swamp". Children, according to the teacher, imitate the habits of animals living in the swamp, through the expressiveness and plasticity of movements.

Appendix 2

Cycle of observations of the inhabitants of the aquarium.

1. "Who lives in our aquarium." Purpose: to identify all the inhabitants of the aquarium (fish, snails, plants), their names, to clarify the living conditions of the inhabitants of the aquarium (a lot of water, soil in which plants grow, lighting, compressor, feeder). Refine Features external structure fish.

2. "How fish swim and rest." Purpose: to clarify that fish move in water easily, freely, and can swim in different directions. A streamlined shape, a smooth surface of the body, and fins help them move. With the help of the tail, the fish make turns. Show children that fish need rest, sleep. They rest standing motionless near the bushes of grass, at the bottom, they sleep with their eyes open.

3. "How fish breathe." Purpose: To give an idea that fish need air to live. They breathe the air in the water with the help of gills. Gill wings that cover them are located on the sides of the head. They constantly open and close - this is how the fish breathes.

4. "Clean up the aquarium." Purpose: To learn to notice changes in the state of the aquarium - dirt on the bottom, plaque on the glass, water reduction, dust and stains on the glass, evaluate these changes as a deterioration in living conditions aquatic life. To form the desire to take part in the work of adults, to receive satisfaction from joint work. Cause a sense of responsibility, a desire to justify trust. To cultivate activity, initiative, independence, accuracy, friendliness.

Appendix 3

Experiments with water.

1. “What will we see through the water?”

Purpose: to consolidate children's knowledge about the property of water - transparency, through the consolidation of geometric shapes and colors.

Equipment: basin with water, geometric shapes different color.

Questions to children: what is in the pelvis (water). What can be said about water? Then throw a cube into the basin. What happened to him? (fell to the bottom). Is it visible? What colour is he?

Invite the children to take turns lowering various objects into the water. While one child lowers the object, the other children close their eyes.

Question for children: why do we see all these objects even through the water column? (The water is clear).

2. “How to give Ivanushka clean water?”

Purpose: to get acquainted with the processes of water purification in various ways.

Equipment: paper napkin, paper funnel, rag, rubbish, starch, containers.

Invite the children to see what cloudy water in the bank. It needs to be cleaned so that Ivanushka can drink it without fear that he will get sick. And how to make a cleaning device?

Children come up with different options for water purification. Invite children to make various cleaning devices - filters (from a paper funnel, rag, paper napkin). Children make filters and check their action. Find out which filter is better for purifying water?

3. "Water pressure".

Purpose: to introduce children to the property of water - pressure.

Equipment: plastic bottle, knitting needle, colored water.

Tell the children that water has a wonderful property: it always tends to drain as low as possible. Have children encountered this property? How did it look?

Water presses on any object immersed in it. The deeper the depth, the stronger the water pressure. The deeper the diver goes, the more the water presses on him. You can estimate the water pressure by the force with which the jet escapes from the hole. To do this, you need to pierce three holes in the bottle and fill the bottle with water. Invite the children to think where the water pressure is greater at the top or bottom.

4. "Floats or sinks."

Purpose: to introduce children to the property of water - density, to show the difference between fresh and salt water.

Equipment: two transparent glasses, warm water, salt, raw egg.

Tell the children about what salty water denser than fresh water, so it is easier to swim in salt water, since water holds objects or a person better, as if pushing objects out of the water. Invite the children to dissolve as much salt as possible in one glass of water, then try to dip an egg into this glass, then transfer the egg to a glass of plain, fresh water. What happened to the egg in salt water, what - in fresh water? Lead the children to the conclusion that salt water is denser than fresh water.

Appendix 4

Quiz "What do we know about fish."

Purpose: Repeat, summarize children's ideas about underwater inhabitants rivers, seas, evoke a sense of joy from a collective game, activate cognitive interest. Create conditions for implementation in creative activity ideas about the world.

Task 1. Remember proverbs, sayings about the water world.

The kindergarten teacher introduces the results of her short-term project on the theme “Underwater World” in this work, presented in the form of a report on interesting activities conducted with children.

In the short-term project "Underwater World" presented by the educator senior group kindergarten, the goal was to introduce children to one of the components of nature - water, without which life on planet Earth is impossible, to form a conscious, careful attitude to water as an important natural resource.

result project activities in the form of a short-term project in senior preschool group"Underwater World" became practical exercises with children in the form of games and exercises aimed at developing in children a concept of ecology, getting to know the inhabitants aquatic environment and learning about water resources planets.

This work (project) will be useful for preschool educators when organizing project activities with pupils of the senior group of kindergarten, as well as for parents of preschool children.

Introduction

The project method in teaching preschoolers is a preparatory stage for the transition of children to school. The main goal of the project method in kindergarten is the development of a free creative personality. It gives the child the opportunity to synthesize the acquired knowledge, develop creative abilities and communication skills, which allows him to successfully adapt to the changed situation of schooling.

For children of older preschool age, it is advisable to single out cognitive research activities in the educational process that are directly aimed at comprehending the structure of the world (things, phenomena that are in certain relationships and connections), streamlining, systematizing ideas about the environment.

In addition, cognitive research activity develops his attention, thinking, speech, arouses interest in the world around him, forms the ability to make discoveries and be surprised by them, and also improves such qualities necessary in later life as observation, diligence, accuracy.

Our project " Undersea world” began with a question from the children about why they began to bring water from the store to the group for drinking, why you can’t drink water from the tap? Where does the tap water come from and why does it never run out? Where does the dirty water that we pour down the sink go?

After talking about water, how water enters houses, how a person pollutes water bodies, and how water is cleaned for drinking, the children thought about the fact that their inhabitants suffer from pollution of water bodies. A problem arose: how can people help underwater inhabitants?

Ecological problem one of the most important in the modern world. The future of mankind depends on the level of ecological culture of each person, his competent, active position in solving urgent problems.

 • clarify children's knowledge about water, its basic properties, significance in the life of living beings, clarify children's knowledge about the class of fish, deepen their understanding of the reservoir as a habitat for fish, clarify the idea of the living conditions of aquarium fish;
 • encourage children to compare, search for similarities and differences, connections between things and phenomena, verbal analysis-reasoning, develop observation skills, the ability to use evidence and defend their point of view;
 • to develop the cognitive initiative of preschoolers (curiosity), independent research activities through partnership with an adult;
 • to expand the horizons of the child, taking him beyond the limits of direct practical experience into a wider spatial and temporal perspective;
 • to arouse interest in the life of fish, the desire to learn more about them, to cultivate a desire to care for aquarium fish.

Stages:

1. Drawing up a plan - project schemes.

2. Immersion in the project (Appendix 1, 2, 3).

3. Practical part (album " Water element", drawings of children, summary of a comprehensive lesson" Rivers, rivers and seas»).

4. Presentation of the project (Appendix 4, composition "Seabed").

 • What knowledge will help in solving the problem?
 • How can this knowledge be obtained?
 • What can be done to solve this problem.
 • help to choose the most relevant and feasible task for children for a certain period of time;
 • suggest what items and accessories can be used;
 • plan what activities, games and other activities for children can be included in the project plan.

During the discussion, the children offered various options for classes, games, and actions that would answer our questions. All proposals of the children were drawn up in the form of a plan-scheme.

4. Etude "The sea is worried." Purpose: to expand the content of the game, develop imagination, creativity, plasticity of movements.

5. Etude " In the swamp». Children, according to the teacher, imitate the habits of animals living in the swamp, through the expressiveness and plasticity of movements.

Appendix 2. A cycle of observations of the inhabitants of the aquarium.

one. " Who lives in our aquarium». Purpose: to identify all the inhabitants of the aquarium (fish, snails, plants), their names, to clarify the living conditions of the inhabitants of the aquarium (a lot of water, soil in which plants grow, lighting, compressor, feeder). Clarify the features of the external structure of fish.

2. " How fish swim and rest». Purpose: to clarify that fish move in water easily, freely, and can swim in different directions. A streamlined shape, a smooth surface of the body, and fins help them move. With the help of the tail, the fish make turns. Show children that fish need rest, sleep. They rest standing motionless near the bushes of grass, at the bottom, they sleep with their eyes open.

3. " How fish breathe». Purpose: To give an idea that fish need air to live. They breathe the air in the water with the help of gills. Gill wings that cover them are located on the sides of the head. They constantly open and close - this is how the fish breathes.

four. " Tidy up your aquarium». Purpose: To learn to notice changes in the state of the aquarium - dirt on the bottom, plaque on the glass, water reduction, dust and stains on the glass, to evaluate these changes as a deterioration in the conditions for the life of aquatic inhabitants. To form the desire to take part in the work of adults, to receive satisfaction from joint work. Cause a sense of responsibility, a desire to justify trust. To cultivate activity, initiative, independence, accuracy, friendliness.

Appendix 3. Experiments with water.

1. “What will we see through the water?”

Purpose: to consolidate children's knowledge about the property of water - transparency, through the consolidation of geometric shapes and colors.

Equipment: a basin of water, geometric shapes of different colors.

Invite the children to see how cloudy the water is in the jar.

3. " water pressure».

Invite the children to think where the water pressure is greater at the top or bottom.

four. " Floats or sinks».

Purpose: to introduce children to the property of water - density, to show the difference between fresh and salt water.

Equipment: two transparent glasses, warm water, salt, raw egg.

Tell the children that salt water is denser than fresh water, therefore it is easier to swim in salt water, since water holds objects or a person better, as if pushing objects out of the water. Invite the children to dissolve as much salt as possible in one glass of water, then try to dip an egg into this glass, then transfer the egg to a glass of plain, fresh water. What happened to the egg in salt water, what happened in fresh water? Lead the children to the conclusion that salt water is denser than fresh water.

Appendix 4. Quiz "What do we know about fish."

Purpose: To repeat, generalize children's ideas about the underwater inhabitants of rivers and seas, to evoke a sense of joy from a collective game, to activate cognitive interest. To create conditions for the realization of ideas about the world in creative activity.

Relevance of the problem
Today, environmental protection is one of the urgent and significant problems not only in our country, but throughout the world as a whole. One of the reasons for this is the lack of environmental awareness and culture among people. The foundations of ecological culture are being laid early childhood. Familiarization of children with the outside world, as the need to educate an environmentally competent, harmoniously developed personality, must begin in preschool age. It is vital to educate children in a careful and conscious behavior in relation to nature. But, unfortunately, from conversations with children it follows that many have not formed ideas about the world around them. The biggest gap in children is found in knowledge about the water world of our planet: the flora and fauna of the seas and oceans. The choice of the topic is due to the understanding of its teachers, parents of the significance of this problem, on the one hand, and insufficient ideas of children about the inhabitants of the seas and oceans. In order to show and realize the uniqueness of these natural objects, to arouse cognitive interest, to fill such a significant gap (after all, more than half of the Earth consists of water), and to lay the foundations for environmentally competent behavior, the educational project "The Magical World of Seas and Oceans" was developed.
Project Hypothesis
Ultimately, the vital stability that every functionally literate person should strive for is his personal state, not bestowed by nature, but achieved in the process of activity. The most important condition such an acquisition is the surrounding, ecologically healthy, environment. In communication with the outside world, the child builds his personal positions - a kind of frame future life. And how a child is environmentally literate will depend on his adult life.
