Extracurricular activity for 7th grade

"Wonders of nature"

Target: Instilling interest in the subject

Tasks:

Uncover new interesting information about amazing nature planet earth

To form and consolidate the general educational skills and abilities of students.

    Expand the horizons of students

Equipment: ICT, geographical atlases, pens, rulers, pencils, sheets of paper, task cards.

Good afternoon, dear children and guests of our extra-curricular event "Wonders of Nature". Today we will talk about what we just do not have enough time in the lesson. I hope that you learn a lot about our amazing planet, I I will hear competent answers from you, but our guests will receive only positive emotions.

Now our intellectual competition will begin, and before you give a name to your team, I want you to consult and decide what really can be considered natural wonders?

(command responses)

Name your teams one of nature's wonders.

(command view)

Our game consists of six rounds. For winning each round, you will receive sandbags. In each bag of sand for exactly 20 seconds. The more sandbags you collect, the more time you will have to complete the final task. So we start.

1 round "Warm-up".

On our slide - a few riddles. I give you 1 minute to solve them.

Run, run - do not run, fly, fly - do not fly. (horizon)

Countries without people, cities without houses. (political map)

Not earth, not water. Neither walk nor run on it. (the globe)

There is water all around, but there is trouble with drinking. (sea)

Can an ostrich call itself a bird? (ostrich can't speak)

Born from water, but afraid of water. (salt).

(The team with the most correct answers gets a sandbag)

2 round. "Bermuda Triangle"

Bermuda Triangle- area in , in which supposedly occur mysterious disappearances maritime and air . The area is bounded by lines from to , then to and back to Florida through .

Various hypotheses have been put forward to explain these disappearances, from unusual apparitions before the abductions . Skeptics argue, however, that the disappearance of ships in the Bermuda Triangle occur no more often than in other areas of the world's oceans, and are due to natural causes.

Proponents of the theory mention the disappearance of approximately 100 large ships and aircraft over the past hundred years. In addition to disappearances, serviceable ships abandoned by the crew and other unusual phenomena are reported.

Their opponents argue that reports of mysterious events in the Bermuda Triangle are greatly exaggerated. Ships and aircraft are also dying in other areas the globe sometimes without a trace. A radio malfunction or the suddenness of a disaster can prevent the crew from transmitting a distress signal. Searching for debris at sea is not an easy task, especially in a storm or when the exact location of the disaster is not known. Given the very busy traffic in the Bermuda Triangle area, frequent and, a large number of shallows, the number of catastrophes that have never been explained is not unusually large.

Methane emissions

Several hypotheses have been proposed to explain the sudden death of ships and aircraft by gas emissions - for example, as a result of decay at the bottom of the sea. According to one of these hypotheses, large bubbles are formed in the water, saturated with methane, in which it is lowered so much that ships cannot swim and instantly sink. Some speculate that when methane rises into the air, it can also cause aircraft crashes - for example, due to a decrease in air density.

wandering waves

There are suggestions that the cause of the death of some ships, including those in the Bermuda Triangle, may be the so-called. which are believed to be up to 30 m high.

infrasound

It is assumed that under certain conditions in the sea it can be generated, which affects the crew members, causing panic, as a result of which they leave the ship.

Find the borders of the Bermuda Triangle in your atlases. You need to use the maps of the atlas to determine geographical position triangle. Run time - 5 minutes.

(command responses)

The team that gives the most complete answer receives a bag of sand.

Round 3 "Scientific explanation"

Rain from animals- relatively rare phenomenon observed in many countries in different time. Most often, such rain consists of fish or frogs, although cases of rain from . In some cases, the rain reaches such force that the animals fall to the ground in fragments. Occasionally, animals (mostly fish, but some sources also mention cases of frogs) survive the fall, suggesting that a fairly short time elapsed between the "rise" and "fall" of the animal. In some cases, animals fall frostbitten or frozen in pieces. .

Think and explain the reason for such a mysterious phenomenon. The time for discussion is 3 minutes.

(command responses)

The team with the most complete explanation gets a sandbag.

Physical education minute

4 round. "Unique Lakes"

"Ink Lake" - Residents of the Algerian lake Sidibel Abbes do not need to buy ink in the store. Next to them is a whole lake of ink. Where did it come from? It was formed by two small rivers. One of them is saturated with iron salts, and the other flows through peat bogs and contains in its water the same substances as in the juice of ink nuts. When these waters are mixed, ink is formed.

"Lake with Giant Bubbles" - On the island of Java there is an interesting hot lake. Vapors and gases that rise from its surface blow out bubbles up to 3 meters in diameter. Rising up, the bubbles burst with noise.

"Lake of Death"- The most "dead" is not the Dead Sea, but the "lake of death" in Sicily. There is no vegetation on its banks, and any creature in the water overtakes instant death. From the bottom of the lake, two sources of highly concentrated sulfuric acid are beating, which poisons the water.

We also have a unique lake in Russia . It really can be considered a miracle of nature. Find it by geographic coordinates: 53° N sh. 107° E d.

What is its uniqueness? Time - 3 minutes "

(Lake Baikal the deepest in the world - 1637 meters. The water of this lake is very transparent, a white disc is visible at a depth of 40 meters. The lake contains 20% of the world's fresh water"

(command responses)

The team that finds the lake faster gets a bag of sand.

Guys, there is currently Echo sounder– a device for measuring depth water body with a sound signal. (slide number 9)

Solve the problem: After what time will the signal sent by the echo sounder to the bottom of Lake Baikal return to the device if it is known that the depth of the lake is 1637 meters and the speed of sound in the water is 1440 meters (2.2 seconds)

5 round "Unusual trees".

Teams need to establish a correspondence between the picture of the tree and its name.

Baobab trees reaching a height of 25 meters. The baobab trunk is very thick in girth up to 45 meters. Baobab fruits are similar to cucumbers - they contain edible pulp. In the dry season, the leaves fall off and only fruits hang on the branches. During rains, the tree is covered with white large flowers with a strong smell.

It turns out that in the lands of India, one tree forms a whole forest!
banyan , or, as it is also called,tree-forest , has not one, but thousands of trunks. In its center is the main trunk, thick shoots grow from it, branches stretch down from these shoots, which, having reached the soil, take root. After that, they begin to grow in thickness, and subsequently the secondary trunks become similar to the main trunk, and new shoots are already departing from them ... This goes on ad infinitum

M tree
Grows in Central and South America. These are low trees with shiny and thick leaves with inedible fruits. The locals drink the juice of this plant as milk. But it flows out of the tree quite slowly: 1 liter of juice flows out of one cut in 1 hour. In addition, you need to use this drink immediately, as it quickly deteriorates.
When the juice is boiled, wax is released on its surface, which is used to make candles and chewing gum. In addition, the wood from these trees is perfect as building material

Soapberry

Growing in the Florida peninsula. If you grind its ripened fruits, then a foam is formed, which locals used instead of soap.

bottle tree

Growing in Australia. The name was given to him for the barrel, which in its shape resembles a bottle. During rains, a lot of moisture accumulates in the trunk, which is used by it in dry times.

(Team responses)

The team that has established the match faster and more correctly receives a bag of sand.

Round 6 "Puzzles"

The teams count the bags of magic sand and calculate the time to complete the final task.

For a certain time, you need to collect puzzles and name another miracle of nature.

(Corals and one of the wonders of nature Big barrier reef Australia)

Summing up the event.

Reflection.

One of the wonders of nature is the rainbow. The phenomenon is extraordinarily beautiful. I want you to evaluate our today's event according to the degree of obtaining new knowledge for you. You all got emoticons. Stick them on the color of the rainbow that matches your level of knowledge.

April 22 on International Earth Day in branch library №6 was held hour of discovery "The amazing and mysterious world of nature", to which students of 4th grade MBOU secondary school No. 24 were invited.

The event consisted of several parts. The first part was devoted unusual trees peace. The story of the librarian A.Yu. Sviridova was accompanied by a colorful slide presentation. The guys immediately recognized the baobab, but were surprised by the fact that it is possible to arrange a dwelling, a bathhouse, a restaurant and even a bus station in it. The next tree that was told about is the sequoia. The slide showed an image in which a tunnel was made in the tree for the passage of cars. The children also liked the dragon tree, the aspen poplar colony, the cashew nut, the acacia, the octopus tree. Puya Raimonda interested the children, because she has the largest inflorescence in the world - 2.5 meters in diameter, 12 meters in height and consists of 10 thousand simple flowers. It is a pity that this plant blooms once every 150 years, and then dies. The children were especially surprised by the "Cannon Tree" - Kurupita Guiana, whose fruit is 25 centimeters in diameter and can easily kill a person.

The next part of the event was dedicated to amazing plants, listed in the Red Book of the Lipetsk region. The guys themselves named several plants that are under protection. The librarian told the children about the most interesting plants: common heather, spring adonis, broadleaf bell, snow-white water lily, white cinquefoil, sleep-grass and others. The children also really liked the beautiful legend of the Lady's Slipper. On the next slides, the children recognized snowdrops, blueberries, lilies of the valley, and snapdragons. These plants were familiar to them. The students were interested in the plant tsmin sandy, or immortelle. One girl told about how her grandmother is treated with this plant. The guys were surprised by the fact that the dried immortelle does not change for years and retains its shape and color, you can make a dry bouquet of it and put it in a vase as a memory of summer.

And then everyone together visited the forest in a fabulous meadow visiting Baba Yaga. The owner of the hut lives alone in the wilderness, there is a lot of garbage around, and Baba Yaga does not want to put things in order.

Goblin informs her that children are wandering in the forest, garbage is being removed everywhere, trees are being planted in the forest. The guys came to the clearing, but Baba Yaga drives them away, saying that she herself needs the garbage. The children convince her and prove that the forest must not be littered. Baba Yaga agrees with the guys and, together with Leshy, collects plastic bottles in a basket, and the fairy-tale meadow immediately changes. Baba Yaga promises the guys: “Now I will go to the hut, I will read books. I will become a good old woman, I will help people.

At the end of the performance, the children were glad that Leshy and Baba Yaga became friends of nature. The event ended with a cheerful cheerful song “I want the birds to sing!

And now look at my wand in my hands, but not simple, but magical. Close your eyes and I'll cast a magic spell.

I'll take a wand in my hand

I'll draw a magic circle

I'll knock softly one, two, three,

Relive the magic!

I will pronounce magic words, and you perform all the movements and immediately find yourself in the forest ...

To Kingdom Nature is easy to get into,

You don't have to travel far.

Close your eyes and take a step

Now let's clap our hands So:

One clap, another clap

And now a haystack is visible,

And now the field is earing

Noisy-worried wheat,

The skies are blue above her

Open your eyes quickly.

caregiver: Here we are in the kingdom nature.

Hello forest, beautiful forest!

Full of fairy tales and wonders

What are you making noise about?

On a dark stormy night?

What are you whispering to us at dawn

All in dew as in silver?

Who is hiding in your wilderness

What kind of animal, what kind of bird?

Open everything, do not hide,

You know we are!

Guys! Here you are in the forest. Here you will find a lot of interesting things.

The Old Man-Lesovichok appears.

Lesovichok: Hello, friends!

Children and leader: Hello, guest unknown! Who are you and where did you come to us from?

Lesovichok:

It's me, the gray-haired old man,

My name is Lesovik.

I guard this forest.

I keep order here.

Lesovik: - Why complained?

Children. We, grandfather, came to the forest for a walk, to play, to relax, to admire nature.

Lesovik - I know how you walk, ruin anthills, trample flowers, insects, animals offend.

Children. We know how to behave in forest: you can not tear flowers, leaves, break branches, shout loudly, leave garbage in the forest.

Lesovichok: there was a hooligan here today, he plucked a magic flower and scattered all the petals, but I just can’t collect them, the wind bothers me.

Leading: Guys! Let's help Lesovichka?

Children: Yes!

Leading: let's look for the magic petal.

They find - Oh, look - a magic petal (red petal) Flower-Semitsvetika. He fulfills every wish. Guys, there is something on the petal. Is reading. Yes, it's the same task.

Lesovichok: Now we will check how you know the rules of behavior in the forest. To do this, we will play a game with you "If I come to the forest".

I will tell you my actions, and you will answer if I do well, speak "Yes" if it's bad, then shout together "No"!

If I come to the forest

And pick a chamomile? (No)

If I eat a pie

And throw out the paper? (No)

If a piece of bread

Will I leave it on the stump? (Yes)

If I tie a branch,

Shall I put up a peg? (Yes)

If a make a fire,

Am I not going to simmer? (No)

If I mess up a lot

And I'll forget to remove it. (No)

If I take out the trash

I love my nature,

I help her! (Yes)

Leading: The forest is a big house, there are many tenants in it (trees, herbs, flowers, birds and animals). You have to be careful in the forest. Listen carefully and peer to discover the beautiful and interesting.

Look how much is growing here different trees. Who can name what kind of trees grow here? (children called: birch, poplar, mountain ash)

Leading: How did you recognize the birch?

Children. The trunk is white, the leaves are small, pointed, with teeth, thin twigs.

Listen to the poem "Birch"

I love Russian birch

Either bright or sad

In a white dress

With handkerchiefs in pockets.

Leading: Birch is the only tree in the world with white bark. The bark protects from the sun, frost, wind. Does a birch trunk get hot in hot weather? (children put their hands on and try the birch trunk)

Children: No.

Leading: If you touch a birch trunk on a hot day, then notice: even in the sun, the birch trunk remains cool. White color reflects the sun's rays. So the birch trunk remains cool.

And what are these trees? Tall, spreading.

Children: Poplars.

Leading: What trunk?

Children: Thick.

What a strong trunk, lush branches. Such a tree gives a lot of oxygen, the air next to it is cleaner, fresher. In the forest, trees purify the air, therefore, it is necessary that there be more of them.

Children find a magic petal (orange, Lesovik reads exercise:

The game "Who will soon gather his leaves"

(Children collect leaves in a basket - birch, poplar, etc.)

The forester reads riddles about animals, children guess them.

Riddles about animals.

1. I wear a fluffy coat

I live in a dense forest

In the forest on an old oak

I chew nuts (squirrel).

2. In the summer he walks without a den

Near pines and birches

And in winter he sleeps in a den

Hides the nose from the cold (bear).

3. Who is cold in winter,

Wandering in the forest angry, hungry? (wolf).

4. Angry touchy

Lives in the wilderness

Too many needles

Not just one thread (hedgehog).

The game "Who will collect more supplies for the winter for the squirrel"

Teams collect cones in a hoop in two minutes. The team that collects the most cones wins.

Leading: I want to know if you know the names of flowers. To do this, we will now play

game "Clap your hands when you hear the name of a flower".

The game “What is superfluous in a flower bed?” (Indoor flower)

The woodsman finds a green petal and reads exercise:

relay game "Collect a Flower"

Children collect flowers from parts, placing them inside the hoops.

The Lesovichok leads the children to tall fir trees and thinks riddle:

You can always find her in the forest -

Let's go for a walk and meet:

It stands, prickly, like a hedgehog,

In winter in a summer dress (herringbone)

Children find a blue petal and complete the task.

"Find a Pair"

The Lesovik distributes large and small mushrooms to children. Children run around the clearing with mushrooms in their hands. Lesovik gives the command "One, two, three - find a couple. Everyone should stand next to someone who has a large or small fungus (big with big, small with small).

Lesovik praises the children and offers to go to the mushroom clearing, but there is a hoop barrier, a game is being played "From bump to bump"

The child stands in one hoop, he puts the other hoop in front of him, jumps into it, picks up the previous hoop and shifts it forward and so on until he reaches the conditional place.

The Lesovik leads the children to a mushroom clearing, the children find a blue petal and read exercise:

Name what you know edible mushrooms? - camelina, russula, honey agaric, chanterelle.

Inedible - pale grebe, fly agaric.

The woodman leads the children to the apple tree, where they find a purple petal and perform exercise:

The game "Say one word"

1. Wolf, fox, bear, hare - this is (animals)

Ecology is one of the most important and global issues of our time. Scientific and technological progress has led to an aggravation environmental situation: running out of supplies natural resources, the environment is polluted, the health of people is deteriorating. In order to ensure the right of every person to a favorable environment, the President of the Russian Federation signed the Decree "On holding in 2017 in Russian Federation Year of Ecology” dated 01/05/2016 No. 7.

Environmental knowledge is becoming socially significant and in demand in practical life. Libraries have become an important link in the system of educational activities among the younger generation.

Environmental education is the dissemination of knowledge about environmental hazards, healthy way human life, status information environment and on the use of natural resources in order to form ecological culture in society. Effective environmental education should involve children in practical environmental activities. Then, in combination with environmental knowledge, it will make the child's behavior more responsible in relation to the environment.

Libraries currently have sufficient information resources, allowing to successfully implement the tasks of environmental education.

This is facilitated by the environmental library programs “Nature. Ecology. Future” (fil. No. 2), “Green Fingers” (TsDCh), designed for long-term continuous work with children different ages. In the course of their implementation, children can replenish their knowledge, get acquainted with modern ideas about the versatility of wildlife, expand knowledge about animals and flora. The programs introduce children to the problems of urbanization, show ways out of the ecological impasse, as well as the relationship with other areas of knowledge. Work on environmental education is carried out jointly with environmental structures, public organizations, educational and cultural institutions.

The exhibition activities of the library help readers to get acquainted with the whole variety of environmental literature. In the Center children's reading Eco-exhibitions “Chur! Commanded! and “Eco-I! Eco - We! Eco-Peace! , where the most topical issues: environmental protection, urban green space, value of forests and effective use forest resources, drinking water and its quality, ways to solve environmental problems.

In addition to books and magazines, the exhibitions feature reproductions of paintings by famous Russian artists: I. Shishkin, I. Repin, I. Levitan, as well as creative work readers. The environmental exhibition contributes to the creation of a favorable library ECO-environment. It is expressive, visual and not boring.

In the Center for Children's Reading, for 20 years, for children 7-10 years old, the children's ecological club "Lesovichok" has been working. Over the years, a variety of work has been done aimed at the formation of primary environmental knowledge in children. The work of the club is of a program nature. Our environmental program is built on the basis of literature - game events. Every year the club "Lesovichok" takes an active part in city, district and republican environmental actions. So the Year of Ecology began with the city environmental action "Feeding Mouth".

"Feed the birds in winter" - who has not heard this call! Even the most indifferent to nature cannot deny the great benefits that feathered friends bring to us. And many of us at least once in our lives mounted a simple structure made of plastic bottle or a milk carton. For the guys from the Lesovichok club, caring for birds is an annual, important and massive action. It intertwines love for one's native land, a responsible attitude to the world around, care for our smaller brothers, as well as the creative abilities of children. Several feeders safely took their places on the trees and shrubs. Now the guys have another task: do not forget to add grains and seeds regularly, because winter feeding must be done every day, without interruptions. Birds, getting used to a certain feeding place and not finding food there, fly immediately to another place, looking for food, wasting time and effort, and on frosty days this can lead to death. During the event, librarians tried to expand children's ideas about birds, about their living conditions, to consolidate the concept of the need to help birds in the cold season. And most importantly, to educate children in kindness and joy from the consciousness that by taking care of our smaller brothers, feeding the birds in winter, we are doing a good deed and saving them from death.

Each lesson of the club is bright, festive, theatrical. The leaders of the club independently develop interesting, information-rich scenarios for environmental education of children, while taking into account the needs of the modern readership. The practice of the library includes such forms as: environmental courts, environmental expeditions, environmental hours, environmental and local history marathons - they are of interest to readers. CCH "Blue Bird" is constantly looking for new effective forms and methods of work in the field of dissemination of environmental knowledge among children and adolescents. So this year we invite libraries - branches to join the ECO - the action "Book Glade"

The action is organized in order to:

Promotion of the book and reading;

Search by libraries for new forms of involving the population in the process of reading, as well as knowledge of environmental problems;

Application of innovative forms of work by libraries;

This action belongs to the "open-air" format (eng. open - open, air - air; literally - held in the open air). The essence of the event is the organization by librarians of an outdoor reading room in the open air - in nature, in a nearby square or park, in the courtyard of a library, club, school. It is possible to organize an exit reading room in summer children's camps, playgrounds at schools and various educational centers. By decision of the library, the action may be a complex event and be accompanied by the organization of exhibitions, loud readings, book presentations, theatrical performances, book discussion, conversation, review, ecological games and quizzes, a concert, etc. It is possible to combine libraries to participate in a complex event. A report on the action will be held at the district seminar in October 2017.

In 2017, the regional children's competition social advertising "Be a man, man!" among the branch libraries of the Beloretsk district of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The main goal is to attract the attention of children to the environmental problems of our time, problems related to nature, its pollution and the consequences of these pollutions.

The competition is held from January 15, 2016 to August 1, 2017. The number of works from one branch-participant is no more than 2.

Children (together with branch librarians) are invited to participate in the competition in two age categories:

  • 7–10 years (inclusive);
  • 11 - 14 years old (inclusive).

Creative competition nominations:

  • Poster (work done on a sheet of A1 - A3,
  • Flyer (work done on an A5 sheet or smaller, in the form of, for example, a desk calendar, business cards, etc.),
  • Booklet (the work must be done on an A4 sheet, folded in half in the form of a book, and contain textual explanations),
  • Promotional video (short film, interview, performance, animated film no longer than 3 minutes)

We offer contestants to create an appeal to the inhabitants of their region in the form of an environmental poster, leaflet, advertising brochure or promotional video, the theme of which is devoted to ecology.

The participant can choose and develop independently any of the topics or problems of ecology that are interesting to him. (For example, the problem of reducing biodiversity; overabundance of transport, urban air pollution with exhaust gases; the problem of conservation, development and creation of new specially protected natural areas in Russia; the problem of an excess of garbage, ways to solve this problem in the family, school, city, country; variations on a theme reuse unnecessary things; any environmental problems and their solutions, interaction between man and nature, etc.).

The results of the competition and the awarding of the winners will be held in October 2017 at a seminar at the Central City Hospital.

In the Year of the Environment, it would not be superfluous to say that libraries have already taken their place in shaping the ecological worldview of children and adolescents. And they continue to do this, using traditional and innovative library forms and methods of work in their activities, attracting modern Information Technology to solve problems aimed at environmental education, enlightenment and education of readers.

move

Look, my young friend!
What is around?
The sky is light blue
The sun shines golden
The wind plays with leaves
A cloud floats in the sky
Field, river and grass,
Mountains, air and foliage,
Birds, animals and forests
Thunder, fogs and dew,
Man and season
It's all around nature!
There is one garden planet
In this cold space
Only here the forests are noisy,
Birds calling migratory.
You will only see one
Lilies of the valley in green grass
And dragonflies are only here
They look into the river in surprise.
Take care of your planet
After all, there is no other in the world!
